I had the honor and privilege to visit beautiful China (Beijing, Zhangjiajie, Changsha) in 2017. My research suggested weeks 2 - 4 of October would be best. After experiencing those 20 days of October I can say it was ideal. My experience with the weather, crowds, cost and holiday’s was absolutely amazing. The US media and other sources got it wrong. Some of the systems differed from US, but everything worked almost like clock work. The freedom, happiness, safety, beauty, honor, respect, ... I experienced in beautiful China was astonishingly positive. Every country has challenges, but every country does have it’s strengths. I absolutely love my time in beautiful China and hope to go back soon.
You are absolutely spot on regarding life in China. Its not doom and gloom as depicted by the western press and their thinkings. I am working and living in Qingdao in Shandong province and I love every minute of my stay here.

It actually looks prettier at night with all the lights and special lighting. I was there a few years ago during the nighttime and the view was just gorgeous.

Been to China since 2006, from North of Harbin, East of Shanghai to South of Chengdu, China is changing everyday, one place l like to go Singkiang, West of China.
I plan to visit here one day when I go back to HK to see my relatives. I love these old towns and villages, you can keep your modern shopping malls, they all look the same anyway.

Very glad to see this video from my hometown Hunan province. Fenghuang is famous because of a novel by Congwen Shen, but what he really lived and the idea coming from was another town Biancheng. We do have many minority's little town located in west Hunan province, and most of them are not crowded and not overtourism.
This was filmed in 2016. Today, it has already changed a lot. If you haven't been to China for a while, even in one year, you would see a lot of changes. Hope they preserve the old buildings for as long as they can.

Fenghuang has too many businesses and it’s always crowded, if you come to china you can go to some infamous villages, they are way more beautiful than Fenghuang.
I was always fascinated and New York City's Chinatown and other big cities and San Francisco and all over the United States the food the culture the people just something special about it you always want to go back again but if they're watching this video imagine going to China and seeing this for yourself and taking pictures this is one thing I like to do one day when it is settles down with this crazy coronavirus and other things it just ruins the whole relationship around the world with other countries I hope it's finished and forgotten about so we could all get together and work as a happy big family I give this video five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🇨🇳👍❤️
It would appear that Fenghuang is the Varanasi of China. The city does, indeed, look quite old. You can feel the history emanating from every corner of it!
