    Another option is to sell that division of the company or to find another owner if its already a profitable route

      This would’ve made sense. Corporate could’ve absorbed this branch and hire a GM etc

      @@jamier4509 maybe franchise it out to the ex wife. The husband would be pissed. Put up billboards of her, tv commercial etc lol

    • @JawnLive
      @JawnLive 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jamier4509 The problem is, when it comes to business ventures, investments, assets, income, etc. is child support and the way our judicial system calculates what is owed, why, and when. If the husband opens a franchise and absorbs/buys the franchise, he is now the sole owner of the franchise with no marital documents, no co-ownership, no dividing profits. The child support goes through the roof. If the wife absorbs it, the husband is in the deep end on the investment, continues to owe child support, and has the extremely extremely difficult task of either A) Continuing employment under his ex-wife, or B) Pursuing other business ventures, like his restaurant endeavors, and thriving in what he knows best - putting food on the table.

    That's a great thing, Augusta had their back and didn't do what most companies would have done. It"s refreshing to see something like this. It shows character and why your business will grow and change how lawn care is a real business, but has a heart as well.

    If you go thru divorce as a loving soul, it will rip that soul out and flatly shite upon it. The man gets treated like the Daddy and the wife treated as if a helpless infant, the courts do not believe a man and a woman were created equally- they give her everything you had, have, and will have... As a fellow divorce club member, I thank you for providing some relief for this new member!

We chatted about purchasing some used equipment and the benefits of Augusta's franchise system. I hate to see that personal life didn't let Abie realize the fruits out his labors. Hello Mike, I'm Joe, I used to own a drought tolerant garden installation small business in so.California for about 8 year's, but unfortunately I went through a divorce myself shortly after my mother past away from Cancer in early 2019. I gave up the business to my assistant and I moved up the coast in Oregon, did a few jobs lawn jobs and one custom garden installation,..At the time a wasn't current with few years of back taxes so I decided to work a full time job at local Feed mill to get my money in order. It's been almost two years and Ive finally decided that I want to pick up the landscaping business again...possibly go into a franchise with Augusta!?!? I'm am planning on traveling out to the valley to start up,(portland, Hillsboro and Beaverton areas which are about an hour + away. I currently only have one client where I take care of their large garden about every other weekend. Mostly weeding, pruning and hedging, the owners cut their own lawn I quitting my full time job in December, I've been very depressed working the 9 to 5 for someone else 🙃 I have a riding mower, push power mower, weed Wackerand plenty of landscaping gear olus my trusty toyota tundra. Can't wait to get back into this.

    If it was so good, why didn't this franchise dude keep it rolling? There is BS all over this. Also, you can sue and put court leins all you want, doesn't mean you'll EVER get paid. Very Fishy.
