Also to can reverse the hood at snap on the same way to store it if you need too. In that position though it covers the focusing ring on the 30mm but still lets you carry it around. Not an issue if you shoot in auto mode.
The rattling sound is just a peculiar feature of the autofocus system used and only occurs when the lens is off camera. The lens is not broken, so don't panic.
The rattle is only present when the lens is powered down. It is normal. I have the 19 and the 30mm and both produce fine images. BTW, it is noisy because it is close by. Subjects may not even hear the motor.
I wish Sigma would make a 14mm lens like these. I feel sure there would be a demand from landscape photographers. The Panasonic 14mm f2.5 is decent but not stellar. What do you think?
Well, the Nex Series are APS-C sized sensors. Got me thinking however, if they would work with Nex APS-C, would't all these lenses work with the Canon/Nikon EFS/DX format (With the correct mount of course)?
Geekanoids well that's not good to hear, although, thanks for the heads up! What did you not like about them when used with video? That would definitely be my primary use for them.
Geekanoids Is the slow focus all that kept you from using them for video? If that's the only main issue, I'll still buy these. I usually manually focus for video anyways.
Joraultechy he's right, build quality is average, I find myself using my MFT to EF adapter to use my Canon L glass way more than these but for $600 for all three why not?
I have all three of these lenses and very impressed with the build and optical quality. Outstanding value for money.
Agreed 🤓👍🏻
Just got a 30mm e-mount this eve. Will play tomorrow. Absolutely the most beautiful visually looking lens I have seen. Looks great on my mirror less.
Awesome, congrats.
I really like where Sigma's going with these new Art series lenses.

Any reason to get the Art lenses over the pervious generation aside from build quality?
Thanks, they are amazing.
Would you recommend the 60mm and close up filters for macro?
Love extras you get with sigma lenses. I own one sigma lens, great build
Will these lenses fork on the full frame Sony A7?
use these on my omd em5 mark 2. absolutly superbe. Thx again mr. geekanoid
Was there a follow up with these and the olympus epl5?
There are NEX versions.
NEX series might be an option for you.
Excellent video dave I really want one of those lens cleaner my lens gets really dirty
Thanks for your comment :D
That's a useful array of lenses.
Lens tests?
I wish they made them for the Fuji XF mount.
there is no focus ring...? not made for follow focus
Is those working on a Canon 1D Mark iii
no those are lenses for micro fourth thirds cameras
I gotta get all three of those for the GH4 :)
I sold mine, they were not great for video.
Geekanoids well that's not good to hear, although, thanks for the heads up! What did you not like about them when used with video? That would definitely be my primary use for them.
SkyGuy Media Very slow and clunky to focus, build quality average.

Well said :D
They look good but they rattle and are very noisy. Sound like it's broken. DO NOT BUY
