I bought an Xtool F1 a month or two ago with your scenarios in mind. I've since added portable power as well - as you have done - to be fully self sufficient. I have no concern - I can't wait to start this sale season up!
I have been doing this exact idea for over a year and it's great. Saw another person doing it with a laserpecker and it didn't have as easy a flow as the f1
@@AndyBirdBuilds in my view, the xtool software is better, the focus is really easy as the top half moves and screen lifts and drops, if you was doing an engrave on a larger item like the tray the bottom of the f1 base lifts out etc. I have only played with the laserpecker 3 but I wasnt taken by the speed of it and at the time the software on the phone felt clunky to me, this was a year or 2 ago so things may have changed When I do customisation like this I actually take a snapscan scanner and a laptop and set up proper little station rather than using my phone as its easier and looks more pro.
Cool to see you do this. My F1 Ultra is ‘supposed’ to be here by mid month. I am signing up for my first craft fair in October and I am trying to think of what to make that I can customize on site, but also show for future customers as well. Thank you
I’ve been doing this for over a year. Started with a diode laser for wood and leather items, and added a fiber laser (ComMarker B4 30w) for metal items like dog tags, etc.
I think It's a Great Idea. The additional option is to include a camera to video record watching the children making the design to be engraved. Imagine a video of little Johnny making their first Christmas tree ornament
You could personalize any of your offerings and do some of yours for x price. Meaning anything they bring from another vendor you might be able to do. A) can you do that? B) would it be rude? C)could you make a deal with some other vendors for placing an ad for your space for free personalization of items you can? D) Learn the items that you could learn to make and learn to engrave both from all fairs?
I really like these ideas! I don't think it would be rude at all if agreed upon between vendors. I think it would increase sales for both parties. I just would take some coordination!

Awesome!

Sweet! I haven't used the F1 at all. What features make it easier to use in this scenario?

Cool! I think it has endless possibilities. Let me know how it goes for you

Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Very impressive! LP5 should be quite amazing, though the cost will likely be rather high. The flexibility of this workflow opens a lot of doors.
100% agree!
great idea
I currently run my diode laser at craft fairs. I have the atezr 40 with enclosure. It really draws in customers. It has been a game changer.
Thats awesome! Thanks for sharing

Great ideas
I'm glad you liked them!
So many possibilities!
I got my LP4 last year, it works amazing but the limited laser area is a bit small and gets annoying When doing bigger projects.
The price just nuked that idea.
Close. Then I saw the price. Too much for me to try.
I would worry about the power supply lasting for a whole 6-8 day?

Could you use the lettering from an app , lets say dafont ?
Thats a good question. I don't think so but the app does have several font options
What did it cost
The 4 is like $1800
