- In this video, I am discussing the tax return in Ireland. This video is a step-by-step process of how anyone in Ireland can claim their tax returns. If you are a student or a working professional go and fill out your tax return today at - revenue.ie/en/Home.aspx. The best time to claim the tax is January or February of every year. If you are a responsible citizen who pays all the tax, it is also your responsibility to claim what is rightfully yours. No one likes to pay extra :D

Thanks for the explanation !! Just another question, I send money every month to brazil to support my son who lives in there ( he never lived with me in Ireland ), so Can I claim for Dependent Relative tax ?
For dependent tax credit , i think u can only get the tax credit if the dependent person is over 65yrs of age.
Hi, i'm following this procedure for the tax return of the 2023 but i'm still a bit confused about few things...how do you know that the amount of money that the company declared to revenew is correct? do you check the payslip? because the second company that i worked with never gave me payslip, they alway said that i could find it online. The thing is that i think i didn't pay taxes last year, because i worked for like 5 months and i didn't reach 13.000€.
Now at the end of the procedure it shows me an amount of money that i don't know if i have to claim or pay back to the government, it's confusing..can you please help me?
❤
@Joshing Around: May I ask if MyRevenue will break down tax refunds into multiple bank transfers, I just received the tax refund for my overpayment but haven't received the tax refund for my tuition fee?

Thanks ! I am a student and came to Dublin on September 1 last year. I couldn’t understand what I should select in “Ordinarily resident” and “Domiciled in Ireland” .. I tried looking up but still couldn’t figure it out. Should I select no for both ?
Hi, the citizen information says "If you have been resident for the previous 3 tax years, then you become ordinarily resident from the start of the fourth year. " so it depends if you've been in ireland for 3 years + or less

Hi Pranav.... We 3 roommates working in dublin residing in apartment and sharing rent. But landlord accepts rent from one tenetnt intotal I pay rent to my roommate account and he pays total rent to landloard. We have lease agreement with land lord properly signed by 3 . Can I get tax credit. Rent is paid through bank transfer & amount is 1134 Euro per roomate. Pls inform.
Also rent paid in year 2022.
Yes Anil, you are still eligible for tax return. You have bank proofs of sending money and a contract to back you up thqt you are staying in that house.
Even my friends have the same story, they also pay to one guy and then that guy pays rent to the landowner. They all have applied for tax credit return.
@@JoshingAroundTH-cam thanks a lot
@@JoshingAroundTH-cam I'm in a similar situation. I transfer the rent to my housemate which in turn is transferred to the Owner. Do I put my Housemate's name in the paid to field or the name of the owner?
@@managingLife no, you should put your house owner’s name only. If revenue will ask for proof so you can send them your tenants agreement
Will income tax return affect anyway to apply for Stamp4?
No it won’t. It’s your right to file for income tax
Please do this for me. ❤😊
Can an international student claim that the rent?
Yes you can
