It was 1:30am in 2016, and I'm playing re 1 remake. I enter the save room, and the music starts. My divorce was final. I didn't have the kids that week, so I am alone. I'm alone in my house for the first time in 16 years. No one is running upstairs. It's just me and this music. I'm terrified about the future, and I've never felt more alone. So I put the controller down and just sat there...listening to this song. Fifteen minutes go by, and I realize...I've got to go out that door. Yeah, I'm scared of what's out there, but I can't stay in here. Gear up, get yourself situated, and get your ass back out there and fight. And that's exactly what I did. This game, this song has done more for me than you'll ever know.

@Dmitry TKR Modders did it to RE7. But sadly I doubt we'll ever see another official title like that because it seems like no one but us old schoolers appreciate fixed angles anymore...
Fixed camera and dynamic but _directed_ camera are great. They add a whole new aspect to the game, which is cinematography of course. You can use the camera to indicate where the player should be paying attention to. Or you can use it to enhance a certain feeling you're trying to evoke in the player. The feeling of terror is greatly enhanced when the camera is pointed to the character instead of the source of danger, for instance. The list goes on. But all of this takes effort and vision to actually do and modern AAA game producers would rather have that money spent on making pretty graphics because that's what sells.

I don’t have any nostalgia for this series. I’m too young to have played the original RE, and didn’t play the remakes. A dear friend introduced the games to me, and from there I found this song. I like the comments on songs like these, where people confess their life stories in a state of peace and vulnerability. It’s a very uncertain time in my life right now, with new realizations every day and always a change of plans around the corner. When it’s late at night and I’m ruining my own sleep schedule, this song just makes me feel like I’m taking a break. The unease is gonna work out, and these buffers where I feel melancholic will benefit me tomorrow. I wonder if a few years from now, I’ll have nostalgia from listening to this when I can’t fall asleep.
What made it hard for you? I played it on Normal difficulty with Jill and it was very enjoyable and relaxing, it didn't feel hard at all. And i'm the type of person who HATES hard games, i like to be chill and relaxed while playing, i don't like being stressed. I don't even remember dying in game. I completed the game over the weekend, while constantly smoking weed and barely sleeping at all. I would sleep only for few hours, i would dream about Resident Evil and i would wake up to continue playing it. I was delirious and i felt like i was in another dimension, the whole experience was very trippy and psychedelic to me. Just one weekend felt like months. But i played it with such joy and a big smile on my face. I know when a game is relaxing if i can play it high on weed. And i rolled a joint literally everytime i went into the save room hahaha...
You cover that green stuff on your bite wounds. Somehow, it eases the pain. You're okay. For now. The Thing outside breathes and groans, beating its palms against the door. It hears you type. But you type. Somehow, somewhere, someone is going to read these things. This is going to preserve your sanity, you think. When all is done, the Thing has stopped pounding on the door. You get down on one knee, pour kerosene into your flask, and ready your gun. That Thing is going down. You aren't going to take any chances.
Wow I think I should play theses games, the music and atmosphere seem to be very special. I am 29 but the oldest resident evil I played is 4 when it came out on gamecube (which is one of my favorite games of all time).
Have you played it? For me personally this one is the best. I was around 5 years old when i watched my brother play RE: Director's Cut and RE3: Nemesis on PS1. For me the 1st one truly captures the original feeling, and the remake is just perfect.
Same, i love rolling small joints everytime i enter the save room. Nice and cozy while smoking and enjoying the music, sorting out my inventory, reading the documents, checking out the map.. I never read the documents on the spot, i save them for later haha
I know people are saying that this song sounds similar to a song from Halo 3 ODST, or this song copied something else yada yada yada, but the resident evil 1 remake was from 2002 and Halo 3 ODST was from f****** 2009 but even the years don't differ each other in this comparison, the only thing that sounds similar to both is the rate that the song plays. Halo 3 ODST is more calm, but resident evil has a sense of danger along with the sense of being calm and collective. You don't have to agree with me but that's just my opinion. Yes the OG RES 1 released 1996 is different than this, but I'm talking just about the song for the 2002 updated version. No I don't hate halo , but everyone has their own taste.
I never played Halo but i listened to the soundtrack the other day, and there's a song or two that really sound like Resident Evil. I think Halo really got influenced by RE music.

Is there anyone like me who works while listening this music😁
Resident Evil Remake - Safe Haven 1 hour with Rain and Thunder
it makes me feel safe
what a memories!!
I'm gonna play this as background sound to focus while working to not be that stressed. So calming, fuck.
I smoke weed to this 👽
Same, i love rolling small joints everytime i enter the save room. Nice and cozy while smoking and enjoying the music, sorting out my inventory, reading the documents, checking out the map.. I never read the documents on the spot, i save them for later haha
very relaxing to listen too
I know people are saying that this song sounds similar to a song from Halo 3 ODST, or this song copied something else yada yada yada, but the resident evil 1 remake was from 2002 and Halo 3 ODST was from f****** 2009 but even the years don't differ each other in this comparison, the only thing that sounds similar to both is the rate that the song plays.
Makes me feel alone, lonely, and lost.
Fear can’t kill you. But…
Good luck dear friend was great and unique
Love this ❤
Forever
