Can Stellarons Turn Mortals Into Gods? | Honkai Star Rail Lore

  • The Aeons are functionally the gods of the honkai star rail universe and not much is known about them. One of the biggest mysteries surrounding them is how they are made as each of these gods dont seems to have a well documented backstory. There does seem to be a pattern though that has been repeating throughout the star rail story that might indicate the catalyst for this process, the stellaron
    So in this video, Im going to explore the idea of whether a stellaron can grant wishes and can stellarons actually turn mortals into gods
    Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.
    If you enjoyed the video or it has helped you in someway please feel free to like and subscribe and suggest in the comments whether there are any other videos you would like to see.

    From watching other theories and connecting some points by myself, for now I'm pretty convinced stellarons are the remains of dead "gods", maybe emanators, aeons, or whatever like that. That would explain a LOT of things, such as why stellarons appear where the Antimatter Legion goes (Nanook is going around killing gods), explains the powers of the stellarons, and also connects Star Rail to Genshin. We've already seen this concept of "remains of dead gods" in Genshin, and the stellarons' powers and physical description also fit the Descenders, who are the most powerful beings so far in Genshin (golden stars, have some connecting to peoples' wishes/desires, able to create and destroy worlds, etc).
    So yeah, according to this train of thought, stellarons can also be used to create gods, and even worlds. Just like how in Genshin the Primordial One used the "Genesis Pearl" to create Teyvat.

    I found an intriguing little tidbit on this point while I was watching back on the early game in someone's playthrough (credit: Nitesco). It might be implied in the earliest dialogue that the Stellaron Hunters know the Stellarons are capable of catalyzing the ascension of Aeons. If you interact with the holographic portrait of Zandar as Kafka, you get this exchange:
    Kafka: "This is Zandar. Zandar One Kuwabara. The first genius in history."
    ??? (Silver Wolf): "The one who supposedly created Nous?"
    Kafka: "That's him... If the legends are true, then he was a man who created an Aeon."
    ??? (Silver Wolf): "Well they better be false. I don't want to be a Zandar hunter."

    What if the Trailblazer's wish allowed them to walk different paths, the wish to destroy the Dragon in Herta Station and the wish to protect their companion from the threat of Cocolia. Their wish resonated with the Stellaron within them and by extension gaining the gaze of the Aeons.

    I'm not sure if I missed something, But I don't think stellerons were mentioned as something that existed before the birth of Nanook. It could be that they just weren't as important in the time of the Swarm Disaster or Machine Empire. But I've still gotten the impression that Stellerons are a relatively new occurrence. And with that I have a question: does anyone find it strange that Nanook specifically bleeds golden blood (barring Chinese laws)? My theory for a while is that Stelleron's are literally Nanook's blood. They have a sort of semi-sentience because they are very small pieces of an Aeon.
    In Kafka's story quest, you find out that the trailblazer's body was created specifically to hold a stelleron. If my theory is correct, then perhaps the Trailblazer is an incomplete clone of Nanook, and a stelleron in their body feels right at home. Therefore, I think the Stelleron Hunter's goal is to turn us into a mini Nanook. Perhaps the only thing that can destroy the Aeon of destruction is themself.

      Yes. Yet perhaps not only destroy the Aeon, but also replace him. Imagine to have an Aeon of Destruction that you can manipulate. Since Kafka has that very ability.
      But at the same time, we never know when she's going to start to see the unknown which causes her to know fear. All this time, she completed her mission in the guidance of Elio. But there might come a time, where she's becoming attached to Caelus/Stelle; and then Elio wants her to sacrifice them again in order to defeat Nanook. And perhaps that is when she begins to hesitate and know fear.. fear of losing the one she hold dear, and instead, she sacrifice herself so Caelus/Stelle can live.
      So far, I can not really say that Elio is someone without any ill intention. Perhaps he has his own agenda, and he's just using the Stellaron Hunters to his benefit. Sadly, for now, speculation is all we have.

    Before watching the video I have some ideas. Yeah, I think a stellaron could turn a mortal into a being similar to an aeon, or even an aeon itself. I also believe that just shoving a stellaron into any old mortal body would either instantly destroy it or slowly burn the living person from inside out. My theory posits that the stellaron would take up essentially the same type of space in the body as a soul. A living person would not be able to safely ingest a stellaron, so you need a prepared vessel with some or all of the soul removed (like the Stelle/Caelus vessel) in order to place a stellaron into a living body. The trailblazer therefore is given a status near that of an aeon, but without a path associated as yet (I think that the final step of the trailblazer's journey is to replace Akivili and become the Aeon of Trailblaze). Having such power with no associated path allows them to bond Qlipoth's Lance and we'll almost definitely get more paths as the trailblazer visits new centers of power and interacts directly with the current Aeons (outside SU).

    What if we're just the experiment of the stellaron hunters or a Aeon like nous or fuli? i feel like that could be a interesting case, maybe nous gave elio the ability to see into a future that could be taken as one big experiment to try to create a new aeon

  • @misosoup9616

    If I'm not wrong, Fulis' first or second encounter event in SU pretty much confirmed Nanook rise to aeonship is connected with a stellaron.

    While this doesn't discount the presence of a Stellaron, but by Xianzhou myths, the hero that became Lan made a pact with the heliobi Flint Emperor for the power to destroy the forces of Abundance and the Ambrosial Arbor in a desperate time and supposedly ascended as an Aeon after that feat. So there is a power that didn't quite come out of nowhere there, and it happened in the Xianzhou fleets in a time where they've probably long left their original planet behind.

    The "dark mud" seems like an overt nod to the Abyssal mud from Genshin, which itself hearkens back to the Honkai energy in HI3. The Imaginary/Quantum dynamic is core to the cosmology of the shared universe HYV has set up, and it seems to follow the pattern of Imaginary embodying infinite possibility and Quantum being the ultimate reducer of possibilities/collapser of multiversal waveforms. Thus, if Stellarons are the embodiment of Honkai/Abyssal/Quantum energy, it stands to reason that with sufficient available Imaginary energy they could manifest nearly any possibility into reality. It seems that a key of manipulating/channeling the Imaginary is sufficient will/willpower. Thus, while highly driven individuals with strong wills (such as Welt, Loucha, and DHIL) can call upon Imaginary energy with some reliability, it takes the will of a large group of people united to a specific purpose (i.e. "the hopes of a world") to make a profound miraculous effect manifest (e.g. the Eternal Freeze, the resurrection of Yaoshi's tree on the Loufu). I would think that a world on the brink of destruction would generate/channel enough Imaginary energy to allow for the creation of an Aeon, provided you had enough Quantum force to collapse the waveform into such an impossible/highly improbable outcome. A Stelleron should have sufficient Quantum power to do such a thing.

    • @2sword
      @2sword 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not about your theory itself, but Honkai energy is a type of Imaginary energy, making it the opposite of Quantum. Honkai is actually more like a Path, as it draws power from the Imaginary Tree(hence Otto's theory that Honkai exists as a system to cull worlds from the Imaginary Tree). In this sense Herrschers are similar to being Emanators of Honkai.

    • @chaddickhaut140
      @chaddickhaut140 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@2sword which isn't so very different from what I'm saying, if you think about it, i.e. Stellarons taking formless Imaginary energy and shaping it in a specific way by stripping away all the other possibilities from it. Likewise, Honkai energy is the power of Imaginary channeled into a specific result. Think of it this way: Imaginary energy has the potential to be anything, and until it is shaped it is essentially everything at once (making it of no effect, since each possibility has an equal and opposite possibility cancelling it out). You can either brute force it into being something specific with a strong enough will (as pure Imaginary users do), or you can eliminate the possibilities you don't want with Quantum. In either case, you're limited in how much Imaginary energy you can use, either by the extent of your will or by how much Quantum energy you can bring to bear. I would wager Stellarons can bring a lot of oomph to the table, so they can use large sources of Imaginary energy to do profound things.

    let's suppose everything you said is right, then the stellaron hunter's plan is probably to make the MC turn into an aeon? maybe become the new aeon of trailblaze to defeat nanook?

  • @SzalonyHollow
    @SzalonyHollow 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Hmmm Maybe? But Stellerons "modus operandi" is kinda similar to Sa. HSR protagonist maybe will become Aeon, and maybe even Finallity (The Thrash-man, boss of the Tuna) or just Aeon, but if we have so much "lose ends" we should try connect them. If we take stelleron wish granting properties, it has some similarities to honkai - I mean, its adapting force of destruction. One is sure, coś its mihoyo - we have samsara here. What if the whole stereon ordeal is just bigger herscher/CoF stuff ... To much if. I will end this here.

      @@karinabatumbakalnaevissmit7637 "The body which is made by Kafka and SW is like the prototype for the Stellaron which is the MC"
      There is no confirmation to that. That was a statement made by Kafka while she was playing a game with the Trailblazer which involved her lying and telling the truth.
      However, the stellarons are indeed sapient beings. But their existence is something beyond the understanding of mortals. Quite possibly making them divine entities.
      The Jarilo-VI stellaron spent the past 700 years attempting to corrupt the supreme guardians. And the stellaron implanted within the Trailblazer directly speaks with the Trailblazer during the doomsday beast attack on Herta Space Station, as the Trailblazer catches the attention of Nanook, the stellaron takes control of the Trailblazer and destroys the doomsday beast in order to protect the Trailblazer.
      So far, the only stellaron we have heard or spoken to is the Luofu stellaron. However, we were never put into direct engagement with that stellaron the Xianzhou's security forces were dealing with it as we dealt with Phantylia.
      It's also important to note that stellarons are not necessarily universally malicious. As noted by Luocha when we meet him on the Astral Express for the first time, the stellaron within us is unusually calm. We have no way to know why our stellaron is unique, and I have my own theories, such as stellarons feeding off and intensely amplifying the emotions of what they're exposed to. My reason for thinking this is, following the death of Cocolia, we encounter a highly corrupted version of her. She blames Serval and expresses intense jealousy against her. We also see the Fragmentum corrupted version of a previous guardian, who was murdered. She expresses thanks to us, and then begs us to kill her and destroy her presence in the Fragmentum.
      On the Luofu, the stellaron accelerates the onset of Mara, perhaps because of the fear of it by the residents of the Xianzhou.
      And that would also explain why the Stellaron Hunters had to wipe the Trailblazer's memory before implanting the Stellaron into them. They needed a blank slate for the stellaron to grow off of that wouldn't turn it into a twisted abomination. The first memories the Trailblazer has is being helped by two people they now consider their best friend. On top of that, a recent quest confirmed that the Trailblazer has a childlike innocence and view of the world. Meaning there's very little negative emotion for the stellaron to intensify and amplify.

  • @xianzhoutale
    @xianzhoutale 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    2:24 I think it's the opposite. At Jarilo-VI, the Supreme Guardian had used the power of the Stellaron to defeat the Antimatter Legion. This led to the Eternal Freeze (the power to overcome enemies) but also the Fragmentum (the consequence of using that power).

    And then i discovered that if he wanted to, he could destroy the whole galaxy 😅
