    U.S and the other EU who strongly support Climate Changes is met to slow down developing countries or to prevent countries from moving up the ladder in terms of economic, wealth and consumer demands. Since the beginning of the Climate Changes idea came about decades back. Many countries were force to limit or kept out of progress and this made it much harder for those less unfortunate countries who came about later into the global business community.

      “You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain” has some truth in it. Empires rise and fall; Civilisations endure longer even if their fortunes wax and wane. China needs to watch out for the Anglo-Saxons. They are very cunning and good at dividing and conquering. China really should try to address her South China Sea disputes. But otherwise, China seems to be on the right path. China builds while America kills. You know you are on the right side of history if your competitor has to spend US $1.6 billion to smear your name.

    I'm very conflicted with the "green energy " sector because of how it is extracted and completely exploitative of the DRC. It's great china has found a way to extract lithium from vapor but until DRC is free i am against solar and electric energy mass production. Unless I'm missing information and there are other places with ethically sourced lithium

    • @lguosantafe
      @lguosantafe 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I think you are confusing cobalt with lithium. DRC is too cobalt producer. It also has some lithium reserve but nowhere near the top as a producer

    • @obione69
      @obione69 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Its funny how you find resource extraction to develop a carbon free sector so offensive when absolutely everything, especially the energy sector, has much worse outcomes.
      What you're doing is ingesting the fossil fuel industry talking points and regurgitating them. You have no idea do you. Do you even know the raw materials that go into anything you consume? Do you know what's needed to build a coal or nuclear power plant? Apparently not. But because there is a footprint involved in renewables you oppose them.
      I mean, give me a break. The whole point of this is to convert our society to the bare minimal carbon output as we can. During the transition it requires a large investment from our minerals both rare and abundant. So enough with this pearl clutching already.

    • @freemanol
      @freemanol 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Don't get on the "ethically sourced" bandwagon. The DRC needs money, and it has resources. We can't govern them, they will have to do that themselves. What we can do though is to trade with them and provide them hard currency. That's better than letting them starve. Corruption is inevitable in those countries and not even god can fix it, let alone a foreign country

    • @obione69

      Exactly. This person so worried about the workers in Congo, lol, had never heard of them until all of a sudden, that we use some of their minerals in solar panels. Its quite comical.

    In the very first minute of this video ostensibly about climate change, we hear about lithium, which has literally nothing to do with climate change. It doesn't get much better. The USA's development of a fossil-fuel economy took place over decades in which no one knew a thing about climate change. This economic model has been copied down to the last detail by the countries of the "global south" including China, during decades when climate science was well-known. Europe and the US have been reducing carbon emissions for many years, and China's continue to rise. Those are facts.

    • @RebeccaTurner-ny1xx
      @RebeccaTurner-ny1xx 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You've been watching too much American fossil fuel-funded corporate media. " Europe and the US have been reducing carbon emissions for many years" by outsourcing our high-emitting industries to the Global South. Where in particular? Why, China of course. Really, you ought to go away and learn about the realities of climate change and the responsibilities of Western governments and energy corporations who denied it even was a thing for many years (despite having funded their own scientific research in the 70s that predicted exactly what would happen).
