    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy

      Hi, if you mean the stuff outside the bowl, those are just pieces of Dragon Stone and wood to make it look like roots coming out of the glass bowl. They are not really holding anything together.

      @@leejojohn2558 thank you very much. I used a small Nicrew Internal filter (40gph, you can find it on Amazon for close to $10) I had to modify it a bit to make it a bit shorter, but it worked great.

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy

      Thanks Sarah! The filter I am using on this is the Nicrew mini internal filter. Well I had to take part of it out and shorten it and I had it pointed to the glass to reduce the flow a bit and push CO2 around. www.amazon.com/NICREW-Aquarium-Submersible-Adjustable-Waterflow/dp/B09DPHDF8Z

    what is the volume of your bowl?

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy

      Thank you! This is about 3.2 gallons which is about 12 liters, and this one is not Walstad, it does have a small filter as at one point I was running CO2 on this bowl too, but not anymore. I do have another Vase that is filter-less on

    do you ever add snails and do snails every leave the tank?

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy

      Yes I usually add some ramshorns after the first water change. It help with the cycle. Plants have ponds snails so those sneak in, and those are usually the only ones I find out of the tank.

    Hi, what kind of pump are u using for this size of bowl? Appreciate if u can also share the list of plants used in this build. Thank you!

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy

      Hello! The pump I am using a mini Nicrew internal filter. (www.amazon.com/dp/B09DPHDF8Z) and on the plants (from the top of my head) the trees are a mix of MonteCarlo and Riccia, then I used Pearlweed, Juncus Repens, Rotala Rotandifulia, crypt parva, ludwigia mini super red, rotala wallichi, bucephalandra mini brownie, and bucephalandra mini coin.
      Thanks for watching!!

    What glue do you use to join the rocks?

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy
      @TheNanoAquariumGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Liquid Cyanoacrylate glue (Gorilla super glue) with pieces of paper towel to glue the rocks together, and Loctite clear silicone if I need to glue to the glass.

      What can I use to glue rocks to the glass of the fish tank?

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy
      @TheNanoAquariumGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jondes4 100% clear silicone. Whenever I am doing something small I use Loctite Clear Silicone (www.amazon.com/Loctite-Silicone-Waterproof-2-7-Ounce-908570/dp/B0002BBX3U) if it is bigger project then I use GE Silicone 1 clear (no additives)

    What kind of fishes can I add to a shrimp planted bowl?

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy
      @TheNanoAquariumGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on the bowl... if it is under 3gallon I would not add fish, if it is 3 Gallons and it has matured well, I could do a trio of male Endlers (no females). Another option and my favorite are celestial Pearl Danios, a trio would do great there too. You can also try the chili rasbora or blue Axelrodi. One I have not tried but I think would work as well, would be the scarlet badis. If you have kept fish for a while and you can not mind the extra work there is also the pygmy sunfish (it requires live food). All fish will pick on baby shrimp so it is best to let the shrimp colony get established before adding fish. If you are growing shrimp to sell, perhaps if is best to have not fish. Sorry for the long answer!

    how do u care for this? one time use? i have couple small 1 gallon bowl i have scaped. but now its a pain in the behind to clean them.

    • @TheNanoAquariumGuy
      @TheNanoAquariumGuy  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bowls are difficult in general, cleaning the glass is a pain, but melamine sponges are live savers . I kept that for 11 months (I had to move before it was a year old) I had to trim plants every other week and water changes every week, it didn't really take that long. The light was balanced enough that algae was not really an issue. After I moved I just let it go wild and I was using it to grow some CPD fry. I do want to make another forest bowl-scape so maybe soon there will be another video
