It is fun coming to the US, having traveled around the globe, but not when super duper green. I went to the US in the 90s straight from a remote village. I remember passing Eldoret, and I was shocked by the buildings and people on my way to Nairobi and finally to Washington DC. There is no one in the world to have came from the remotest village and straight to the USA than me. Now that I have adult American kids, they love my story! They are willing to do anything, including passing math, science and skipping PlayStation for a week, just to hear my story of moving from village to good ol' USA!

You just be you and we relate with you in that way.

SO excited you're going to NYC!! Im from Texas but I lived in NYC for a few years - it is a tough and busy city, but it is absolutely a lot of fun! If you need some "nature space" to relax: The Cloisters Museum in Manhattan is so peaceful and gorgeous - or, if you take a Metro North Train from Grand Central Station to the town of Peekskill or Cold Spring, you'll see some beautiful river walks and views ! Both towns also have delicious ice cream right by the river 😁 Lmk if you have any questions, and have fun!!! :)
*And Central Park, of course!!! But a few of my other favorite ones are Battery Park, Washington Square Park and Prospect Park :)
