For context, SK went into hiatus shortly after his bestfriend Moonbin from Astro passed away. That news affected his physical and mental health that is why Carats assumed that he took a hiatus because of this. And as you read the lyrics, it is pretty obvious that Moonbin is the inspiration of this song, and is a message for Seungkwan as he is going though a hard time. Sk has been struggling since at least last year before all of this unfortunately happened, he basically never took a break since face the sun with promotions (for svt and bss) and he admitted that he denies himself when he’s actually feeling sad and refuses to admit that he.s struggling (said in in the soop 2 with Josh) So yeah i believe its generally a letter to sk from woozi for when he was feeling when overwhelmed by his busy schedule … €

i would agree but how i interpret is more like it was written with Boo's perspective. Woozi uses wordplay here as Yawn (hapeum) sounds like Pain (apeum) in Hangul. In the first part, Jeonghan sings something about how they need to forget but they know they wouldn't be able to even if they practice. There's the parallel also about yawning due to lack of oxygen/shortness of breath when what they mean is being in pain due to the loss of a reason for breathing. There's the part where Woozi sings how would i not know when you're my breath, following the line about the suffering alone then the last part where Joshua sings about how the loss is like a hole of pain in their heart
woozi's love language is writing song. like how when wonwoo's mom passed away last year he dedicated a song called Circle from Sector 17 album for wonwoo. and you'll understand once you listen to the song and a variety song called Tipsy Live with Seventeen (a must watch!). also he also had one unreleased song called "What Kind of Future" which the late Moonbin (Astro) loved and said on weverse through a beautiful letter that he will release the song because for Moonbin because he loved it so much. and now Yawn for Seungkwan 😩😭

And headliner would be like the end of the concert setlist w/ everyone singing along in the stadium The whole msg in god of music abt how music brings ppl together no matter the language or genre also makes sense with how festivals are, even if ppl go just to see one artist they stay and enjoy the whole thing and they might sing along with a song even if they dont know it

Just like their concept, the entire album felt like I was at a festival. We start off great, and it kept that energy right until yawn. And wrapping it up with headliner ending the festival. Monster might be my favorite, it has a Halloween feel to it.

my most repeated track in this album is definitely yawn aside from god of music, but each track was an absolute hit for me and this album made my deep love for svt go even deeper and warmer. diamond days’ lyrics really proved that they’re a group who will never forget where they came from and would always go back to their roots (esp for having a title track with the genre they started from and most known for that we call 'freshteen') yet still evolving, shining brighter than ever 💎💎💖

It's a song that assures us how taking a break is ok & the right thing to do. Prioritizing our mental health is important. It's also a song of assurance to Seungkwan that they know what he's going through even though he doesn't talk about it. The 1st time i listened to all the songs, my mind automatically went on organizing mode so now i listen to them in this order: Yawn - Headliner - SOS - Back 2 Back - God Of Music (break/emotional reset) - Diamond Days - Monster - Aju Nice (encore 😅)

They were sooooooooooooo exited and I was soooooo happy to see them smiling and be exited and happy with what they did!!!!!!! They said " I thing we did it this time, this is it! The fans are going to love it" They are soo precious! You have to watch their reaction! Also I watch the dance practice and is sooooooooo good!!!!!!😍 So, those three song of the album are absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I always love vocal teams songs, they are my weakness after all (Two of my biases Jeonghan and Josh, and one of my bias wreckers DK),🥰 and the lyrics are soo beautiful, I wanted to cry, 😭but I have never been soo hiped with a hip-hop teams song! Don't get me wrong I love all the hip-hop teams song, but I'm more of a vocal heavy songs lover!! Monster though must be one of my favorite songs of hip-hop team. Also Scoups is one of my biases and every single time that he raps or sings I'm on the floor!!😅And Headliner I thing is such a great way to end the album, also you can see from the first note that this song will be great to close a consert! I never knew that Woozi as my main bias since beginning sometimes can be so "annoying", especially when he writes songs and is the sole lyricist on the songs. From smile flower until yawn, I sometimes always avoid hearing/singing those songs, not because I don't like the song, but because I know I'll cry. There is one Woozi solo song "What Kind of Future", I really like that song even though it hasn't been officially released yet because Woozi said it was very personal and only wanted to be sung a few times. But if that song were to actually be released, for the reasons I and carats know why Woozi made that difficult decision, I think I wouldn't be able to hear it with a light heart and it would be on my list of songs that are hard for me to listen to every day.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, the korean word for “yawn” sounds like the word for “pain”, and Woozi said he purposely sang that line towards the end in a way that sounded more like the latter 🥺
I read somewhere that Woozi wrote Yawn for Seungkwan during the time where Seungkwan went on hiatus because of his besfriend (Moonbin) passing. And it hits a lot different after knowing that.

Hi! I don't know if you are already planning to do this but I really hope you can react to all their previous albums. Only if you have the time though, no pressure. ☺️ Their songs esp. the lyrics are just all so beautiful and in a way heart-wrenching.
It will probably be some time until we get around to that but yes! We plan on diving into more of their b-sides after we watch their MVs 🤗

I never knew that Woozi as my main bias since beginning sometimes can be so "annoying", especially when he writes songs and is the sole lyricist on the songs. From smile flower until yawn, I sometimes always avoid hearing/singing those songs, not because I don't like the song, but because I know I'll cry.
There is one Woozi solo song "What Kind of Future", I really like that song even though it hasn't been officially released yet because Woozi said it was very personal and only wanted to be sung a few times. But if that song were to actually be released, for the reasons I and carats know why Woozi made that difficult decision, I think I wouldn't be able to hear it with a light heart and it would be on my list of songs that are hard for me to listen to every day.
