    Truly enjoy your videos...the terrain looks like around me. Keep up the great content. Love that most of the trails are tight. SO jealous of your riding area.

    Gnarly stuff as usual Mike. We were like Luke, waiting for our new RMAX, seems all of us in Canada are in that position. Deposit last Oct, still no news and was stressing because we have trip to NL planned for mid July. So we were very lucky and found a '21 SE (same as yours), near Montreal with 1300km, wish I could post a pic as it doesn't look like it ever went off road, its like brand new. Day after I made the deal, heard from dealer, sometime in July for the new machine, so I made the right choice. Just changed all the fluids and put front brush guard on, same windshield as you is on its way, along with A arm guards and full soft enclosure. First ride tomorrow, can't wait!

      Nice ! That's great that you got a rig and even better that it was lightly used. Saved some cost i would hope. Sadly with this darn market and what the worlds going through the shortage of all brands seem to be a massive pain in the A$$. Where I live a friend has been waiting months and months for a Rmax with no date of its arrival. But have fun and be safe and welcome to the Rmax club !

    Good job Mike. Me and my brother clean the trails around our area too. Maybe if it's not too late you can steer Luke to the local Yamaha dealer instead of that Polaris.😁

    Hey Mike! Cool vid as usual. Your buddy Luke mentioned that he's waiting on a ProR. That means y'all have 4 months to widen those trails so he can fit. LOL!!!!! Take care and keep 'em comin'! 10! 👍🤘

      I'm getting a pro xp it's 64 machine but with the parts on order I'll probly be at 72 when it's done but we'll definitely have to widen some trails or make some cool bypasses

    I love that type of riding! Wish we had places like that in North Carolina. Whats the width on you sxs"s? My RZR trail and rock is 64". those trails look to narrow for my machine.

    • @IslandMudSlingers
      @IslandMudSlingers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My Rmax is around 67.5" so you will fit. we have a Polaris rock/crawl edition with us on this ride.

      @@karikoski8450 Do you think you should have a clutch kit for the 30s or did you notice any difference .and how wide are you now with th 4-3 and i see you have the arched A arms

    • @karikoski8450
      @karikoski8450 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Didn’t notice any difference and I’m about 62-63 just under the width of a stock xmr. Yes got the super atv arms front and rear. Can now go up to a 34 “ tire. They move the front wheels 11/2 forward and rear 11/2 back. The only thing I don’t like is had to put steering limiters in so I don’t get as tight a turning radius anymore. I haven’t tried taking them out but the cv joints look close to popping out

  • @wk2wildliferoyal923

    How do you think the rmax compares to the maverick sport. Durability
    Acceleration/power
    Comfort and drive ability
    Love your videos about to sell my maverick for a rmax

    • @IslandMudSlingers
      @IslandMudSlingers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say that’s a very hard question for me to answer the Mavericks that we have in our group has done great but has had a lot of issues with aftermarket parts it also didn’t come in the same class size as what the Rmax it’s it’s got the power for that size but it does not have the suspension travel and tire size so sadly in order to get that maverick in the suspension class we would need new suspension however that maverick does ride very plush for what suspension it has. I would say they’re very different machines and it would have to be a personal preference. But to speak about reliability I’ve got 2500 km on it with next to no issues I did have a factory transmission failure but other than that all the other issues are driver error. I believe the Maverick has upwards of 5000 km and it had a factory wire harness failure and other than that it’s got minor issues such as wear and tear items. In America Yamaha offers a 10 year belt warranty which in my mind if a company is willing to offer that that speaks for itself because they are the only brand offering that kind of warranty but when I’m also speaking about wearable items on the machines the Rmax does have substantially larger ball joints than any other side-by-side I’ve seen yet the whole structure and frame of the Rmax is much larger and beefer than most other machines but that’s because it’s also a sport utility machine designed for towing and cargo when some other machines aren’t specifically designed for utility work. When it comes to speed the maverick is faster, we have yet to do perfect races to really see but it is faster for sure. Both are comfy. Depending how you like to sit. Some like to sit laying back and I like to sit straight just cause it’s better for my back. But if I were to put the stock maverick sport up to the stock Rmax for capability there’s not match Rmax wins hands down. Due to the suspension and tire sizes and diff lock that come stock in the rmax and not in the Mav. But with loads of upgrades and thousands of dollars it can compete with the rmax capabilities. Stock the maverick wins in a race I would say. I hope this helps as I may not give you the exact answer but that’s a very difficult question for me to answer.

    Hi Mike,
    I am still looking forward to your outings. I have just received my RMAX and I am preparing it. In France we also have beautiful but very brittle tracks. At the end of the video I see you driving pretty fast on the road, still without sway bar? And did you add a bottom protection?
    Good ride

      Nice ! I'm glad you finally got it ! and yes still no sway bar. With the new springs it really does help. Like it does have a bit more roll but its not "Tippy" to me.
