I love your thoughts about kids expressing themselves! I completely agree. I don’t usually comment on videos, but I’ve been following your channel for several years. Funny story: I was catching up on your channel a few months ago early one morning at almost 40 weeks pregnant when my water broke! The baby arrived 10 hours later happy and healthy. Now every time I watch your channel I’m reminded of that morning. Thanks for sharing!

Yes! It's incredibly important to me that my children feel comfortable expressing who they are.
That's such a fun story! So glad to hear you and baby are well. I am so grateful that my videos bring back a good memory for you, that is wonderful.

Love this layout - stars are fab! Also love that you allow your children to experiment - so important for them to find their own identity. I allowed my two to do this as teenagers (and I have the photos to prove it 😅) and now they are adults they quite often tell me how much they appreciated me allowing them to do so. Thanks for your videos - I enjoy them so much.

Thank you very much, Becky! Yes! I think it's a necessary part of growing up and having the freedom to figure yourself out is so important.

Love all the stars of this layout. The strip of paper in the middle is great. Your videos are not just inspiration for us to see but we also learn with the stories behind those pictures like how you talk of Charlie & keeping extended family members pictures in the pages. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs to you.

Thank you very much, Deepa! True! My kids like these videos for the same reason, to hear about their stories in my voice.

Great layou! You make the simple things look extraordinary. I liked the black as a background that made the photos and stars pop.

I am trying so hard to start cutting up my paper and layering and such rather than just slap down a photo and a title and a couple of flowers. I love the way you used the papers.

Thank you, Pam! I did notice that A Cherry on Top still has some of it, including the collection kit with all of the papers.

Hey Laura, I love how you matted your photos on that pattern acetate. (I am always wondering how to use the few pieces I have of acetate I have. That now even if I see one I like I won’t buy it because I didn’t know how to use it.😊) Just a curious question, what double sided adhesive do you use? It’s looks like it is pretty easy to tear and use when putting together a layout. It also seems like it would be faster to use.

Thank you, Rosa! I use double-sided tape from amazon here: amzn.to/3XAZVEW
I find it works really well long-term and is super easy to use. I will say that I don't know if it's acid free, but I've yet to see any issues with it and I've used it for years.
