Lyrics:
I am asleep, I am a slug
I am a thief, I am a thug
You are grace, you are belief
You are a Lazarus drug
You are devotion
Magnetic motion, push and pull
I am the ocean
Helpless
When the moon is full
And when you make
A perfect circle in the sky
I get so high
I get so high I’m like a planet
And I can’t come down
Oh, I can’t come down
You are an angel
And when you weep, the heavens rain
I am a mermaid, eating at the sushi train
But when you look in me
With language in your eyes
I get so high
I get so high I’m like a planet
And I can’t come down
Oh, I can’t come down
Oh, I can’t come down
Oh, I can’t come down
I feel it in the morning
I feel how low it lies
And then I hear you calling
And then I start to rise
I feel it in the morning
I feel how low it lies
And then I hear you call my name
And then I start to rise
And when I hear you calling
Like you were always there
I rise until I’m hanging
In the middle of the air
And when I hear you calling
I split like I’m a snake
With golden light like fingers
And then I start to break
Into a billion pieces
Oh, I shatter into constellations
Like I’ve never been more here
Like I completely disappear
I’m nothingness, but shining
And everywhere at once
I’m everything and everyone who is or ever was
And You’re nothingness, but shining
and everywhere at once
You’re everything, we’re everyone who is or ever was, forever.

How does this absolute masterpiece only have 4.2k views after 2 months? I've never heard such a powerful and emotional song before and it's completely stuck in my head now. I hope I never tire of it.
And yes, I am only here because I watched "The Sign" and just had to find and listen to the whole song. 😅
Bravissima!!! Non ti avevo mai ascoltato. Bellissima l'orchestra e la tua VOCE (unica!) che mi fa emozionare!!!!
I will never recover from this 😭
this is like the best thing ive ever heard
This song is going to be my most listened-to song on this year's Spotify Wrapped, I already know it. It's so incredible!
I know this sounds crazy, but until I originally heard this, I never truly understood crying over a song, but now I get teary just listening to it in my head, haha. From the lyrics, to your beautiful voice, It's just a masterpiece. So If you're reading this Meg, thank you, and never stop, you have a GIFT ❤
Meg, this was brilliant. What an honor it must have been. Thank you for giving us the honor of listening to this beautiful composition of a song that was so impactful to us all. May god bless you ❤️
Why is that song impactful?
@@anthonydelvalle3704 I just found the song being played and sang with an entire symphony orchestra impactful. As a fan on the original recording this was a new wave of enjoyment. And im sure it was the same for many people who enjoy this song and Megs work.
Plus the fact that a version was used to absolutely stunning effect in a Bluey special. That special has become one of my favourite pieces of media of all time. So much so I then went looking for Australian music. Strangely, I couldn't find any of Meg's work on CD in the UK, so I ended up getting Best of the Seekers and Best of Cold Chisel. I know Meg's stuff is on streaming and digital download but it is nice to have a CD for stuff like this as well. It's good to hear the orchestral album is at least out digitally so I am probably going to pick that up.
Literally every single thing about this performance is perfect. I especially love how her voice breaks on the word "shatter" at 5:25. Genuinely a transcendent experience
She is supreme, she transcends, there is no artist that moves me like Meg.
Meg with an orchestra goes together perfectly ❤️
Megan that's really absolutely awesome singing especially when you did this for the episode Bluey the sign
Nice you got the attention calypso
Fantastic song to a fantastic episode of bluey
Thank You Bluey
Thank you Meg
I love this I’m crying
The second best rendition of this sublime song (second only to my six year old, of course)
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Everything will work out the way it's supposed to.
BLUEY 💙
Oh my goodness. This is incredible. Where can we watch the whole show, if that's still a thing?
I know that this song did make me cry because I just watch Bluey season 3 episode called The Sign at the ending that use this amazing and heartwarming song. So good job for Calypso’s VA to singing this song. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Calypso's VA *is* Meg.
@@KaldekBoch yup
Who's Calypso?
@@anthonydelvalle3704 well Calypso is Bluey’s teacher and she is voice by Meg Washington.
@@anthonydelvalle3704 This is also why the song is very impactful because of the way that it got used in this particular episode. The trouble is I don't know how much more to say about that because if there's still people who haven't seen it then I really don't want to spoil that special first time experience.
Phenomenal
Aw great, thanks to this song I cried alone on my room for 2 weeks, TWO FREAKING WEEKS GODDAMN IT!!! I still have vietnam flashbacls
Who came here from “The Sign?”
I will never forget this when it was in Bluey!
@@cirquelord I do! 😭😭😭
Impressive
I came here from working with maestra Vanessa in July
Bluey, anyone?
Who's conducting the MSO Meg?
Like Bluey
Mermaid Island, State of Western Australia, Australia Mermaid Island - City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
Honeysuckle Island &
Is she singing in english???
Never mind she is
Yes, but there is an accent different to American. It's interesting as it sounds like a mixture of British and Australian, like there's this Australian twang but British announciation.
Why it's slow
It's slower than normal to allow for, perhaps, a different interpretation. This happens a lot with classical pieces the orchestra will eb and flow more with the conductor. Same with piano performances.
I'd love to hear you praising the Living God... Salvation! The lamb not the snake.
Hallelujah 👑 🙏🏼🕊
Everything is a testament to heaven, with the right perception. Even darkness serves the light.
Amen
Please be serious. There's so much Christian music out there, in every genre, in every situation, in every style. I was even forced to listen to it in school! But still you can't listen to one, and I mean ONE beautiful song, without making it all about your religion. The world doesn't revolve around you or your religion!
what a dull, inane thing to say..
