Hi Vicente, I got a Question for you about My plan to go Pro. I currently 15 in in south Florida with no team, But I'm going to be having a tryout for a traveling team this summer. I tryout for my school, but failed, but I personally decided to do is to train with the team despite failing to make the team. After 2 and a half weeks went by, I decided to Take out my GK Gloves out of nowhere and decided to warm the Gk up with typical GK training( And btw GK is Not My favorite Position but I decided to go get it over the Summer to Play at that Position for Fun without hurting my hands). After my soon to be Haitian friend Roasted me out of nowhere ( He was only joking though) The Coach decided to let me train with the team out of nowhere ( even though I was next to the Goal Post on the left I still couldn't believed what the Coach said to me). Unfortunately it was towards the end of training session (at least I got 3 chances; 1 save, 1 allowed and the others 1 missed by a mile), but l knew from that very moment l can officially train with the team. And the next day, Training was brutal but it was worth it as the team got on a four-game winning streak until they lost at home to the team that eventually won the district championship. After the season ended ( unfortunately getting out 2-0 in the first round of the district playoffs on the road)I was thinking about a moving to England after High school to get a better chance at being a Pro ( And If l was able to tryout in England I would hope Chester FC would allow me to tryout for their team). Depends on the club and high school if the school is winning state year after year for more than 6 years school if the club is producing a lot of players that go and play professional or college football go for the club.
Yepp, as of 2019 there is no relegation in any of the U.S. professional or semi-professional leagues. There are talks to change this though in the future.
In America teams don't think it's fair to be able to be relegated from a league that they helped form. In all American top tiers of all sports there is a closed system where teams cannot enter the league at all or a buy in system where teams must pay millions to join a league. This system is made to get money for the league and commissioner at the cost of improving sports.
Let's goo 2 minute Tuesdays are back ! Is there a 6th division in the US? here in hong kong there's only 4 leagues and very easy to understand! The only thing is in the 4th tier if you're one of the 2 bottom teams you get eliminated from the HK League System

The way US Soccer and all the organizations keep updating, does anyone know what the different pro levels are currently played NOW in the United States?
Hi Matt! What is the best way to train in a group or in your own? Btw great video I still am inspired to train and grind using your session so, thanks!
I guess I am in fifth division. It explains why some of the teams we have faced have used ex-professional World Cup players. The US Professional system is flawed because of the lack of promotion and relegation.
I would say the top college programs’ starting XI is made up of players at the D2 and D3 level with even a few players good enough to make MLS teams right away. Most NCAA D-I players are probably around the D4 and D5 levels in the professional US pyramid. Meaning semi-pro and high-level amateur. Like Matt said, a lot of college players play on teams at that level over the summer.
Crazy how in America home of the American dream you don't have promotion or relegation. Not having that means no matter how good your team gets or how large their support grows they can never go up to a higher league and achieve more.
I think American soccer (football) is a bit of a dark horse in the footballing world, nice to hear of it growing in popularity and professionalism. The pool of talent must be extraordinary with its relative size. Just need the USSF to unify the leagues and promote genuine competition between them through promotion and relegation. Sounds like you’re trying to build something over there, it’s bit like how the English league system was hundred plus years ago when it was formed, as these things are. Keep it up, good work.

Depends on the club and high school if the school is winning state year after year for more than 6 years school if the club is producing a lot of players that go and play professional or college football go for the club.
Night Fury thanks I play for a D1 highschool but doesn’t win a lot of state titles and I play for a national level club team
So which one is better to u?
Great video !! Boston City👊⚽️
Hi Matt!
Kindly make a video on College Football in the US.
Thanks.
No relegation ??!? Anyways great vid !!
Yepp, as of 2019 there is no relegation in any of the U.S. professional or semi-professional leagues. There are talks to change this though in the future.
Cheap Sneakersandcleats yeah odd right !!
That just shows you the level it is, bad.
Yessssss two minute Tuesdays
Let's goo 2 minute Tuesdays are back !
Is there a 6th division in the US? here in hong kong there's only 4 leagues and very easy to understand! The only thing is in the 4th tier if you're one of the 2 bottom teams you get eliminated from the HK League System
Congratulations my friend,,my boys team love you ..white bear soccer club crushers...just finish wining the president tournament...they will love this information cause ..they love this info ..college and pro info..you should do an other college information again ..saw the last one ..great video..

nice video, make more
It’s back :D
Matt, did you continue to train individually while you were playing PDL? I know teams train every day and matches on the weekends but wanted to see your input, I will be doing that this summer.
Hey could you please explain youth and college like DA, club, travel and high school thx and hope I get to come out and see one of the games here on the eastcoast
hey please what is that song at the start the start of the videoi really like it
No promotion- relegation is one of the things i hate about the US soccer system because it makes the leagues so boring, even if your club is at the bottom of the table you know they have something to fight for and makes it more interesting for the fans.
Yeah sure but what happens to canadian teams that get relegated?
@@jakecortez4795 they can play on the lower league like everyone else would do, if they can travel to play on the MLS they can travel to play on the second division league.
@@Sambuca123 they can’t play in the USL my guy 🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@jakecortez4795 i mean if they create promotion relegation in the US, i dont think it will be a problem for canadian teams in playing the USL that should be then least of your worries buddy. What im trying to say is that Canadian teams playing the USL is an easy fix, there are more difficult problems to overcome such as contracts and legal stuff.
@@jakecortez4795 look at it this way, the USL is going to get benefit from the MLS implementing promotion relegation, do you really think they will care about Canadian teams playing or not in their league my guy? 🤦♂️ 🤦♂️
That moment when 2 min Tuesday is 4 min long
What about the NISA league like teams of OAKLAND ROOTS
I would be interested to learn about the transition paths between USL and the MLS...
Do many players progress through, I'm guessing the jump in quality can be quite huge
Thanks clearing up the flaw in the US system compared to the rest of the major soccer world.
The way US Soccer and all the organizations keep updating, does anyone know what the different pro levels are currently played NOW in the United States?
Hi Matt! What is the best way to train in a group or in your own?
Btw great video I still am inspired to train and grind using your session so, thanks!
What about the NASL?
NASL no longer exists.
Night Fury They’ve been termporarily stopped, and some teams have joined the USL
A separate 2nd tier when they existed
Plant based protein vs Whey and can you recommend a product for both
I guess I am in fifth division. It explains why some of the teams we have faced have used ex-professional World Cup players. The US Professional system is flawed because of the lack of promotion and relegation.
U should do three minute Thursdays.
Good video
Damn good to see football making its way in the US. Hopefully one day it’ll be like England
Hi Matt, do you know where I can find postings about team trials and stuff related?
Matt, great video. What would you compare an average d1 college soccer team to this pyramid? Around USL league two?
I would say the top college programs’ starting XI is made up of players at the D2 and D3 level with even a few players good enough to make MLS teams right away.
Most NCAA D-I players are probably around the D4 and D5 levels in the professional US pyramid. Meaning semi-pro and high-level amateur. Like Matt said, a lot of college players play on teams at that level over the summer.
Generally love your channel, but you forgot to mention the NWSL and the tiers below it in this vid.
Crazy how in America home of the American dream you don't have promotion or relegation. Not having that means no matter how good your team gets or how large their support grows they can never go up to a higher league and achieve more.
That there is no promotion/relegation is sad. Because to witness how your local club promotes a league every season is something special!
