Had a group of kazakh exchange students around 2014 in my university, and i was surprised when they did a presentation of their home country where they mention that Islam is the major religion there. I quickly went surprised pikachu face. Because the way they portray themselves are the complete opposite of what practicing Muslims would. In fact they look down on us, because we cover ourselves. Their definition of fun always involves drinking and partying.

not really, maybe the majority of Kazakh are Muslims, but they hate Islam so much it's not even allowed to pray in public places/government offices/school. Only few percent are actually practising. Islam only by name. These minority group are probably the only group who actually practising Islam, that's why the hate they get!

The whole of post-Soviet Central Asia are secular Muslim-majority countries; Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The government maintains the secularism, and therefore the generation of people are raised as culturally secular. Kazakhs who want to practice the religion have restrictions placed on them, and others are used to not practicing religion due to such; so what the state does, in no way shape or form means that Kazakh Muslim population hates Islam ! For example the Kyrygyz president put up a billboard demonizing the Hijab/Nijab as culturally subverting, and most of the nation reacted negatively against it.

No kings, and no dictators allowed either.Although, I think that culturally turkey has more in common with the balkans than with central asia. As important ethnic unity is, we must also be cognizant of cultural spheres due to past empires(ottoman in this case). I would put azerbaijan with turkey as a separate group from the central asians in terms of a state within the union. There is also the issue of kurdistan. We should have a law about ethnic minorities, where if they vote to leave, then they can leave their host state while remaining in the union. If they vote to stay, then they can stay if they want. We shouldn't be like the Europeans who wouldn't let Catalonia leave. For Africa, I think the map should be redrawn upon ethnic lines as well, although you would just end up with a million ethnic states. Are you ethnically Vietnamese or are you Cham if you don't mind me asking.

She didn't say she's a patriot, she said HER SON is a patriot. Also Russian is still very widely used all across Kazakhstan, even by Kazakhs themselves

Then, when police came to investigate, they have beaten up police too, showing disrespect to our laws.
Then, when dozen of qazaq villagers came to sort things out, they have shown guns.
Then, many qazaqs came (without guns) and swiped out them.
Then, they immediately started complaining that dungans died, but several qazaqs died after shots.
These were their young people, who are far away from real Islam.

Do you think it easier to accommodate over 3 million folks from your war devastated neighbor ? With exception of Germany, all European countries have shut their borders. Creating mess is easy, containing it is an uphill task which countries like USA & UK don't want to realize when they bomb a stable nation for oil or ideology & then left it like trash. Turkey has history of giving refuge to folks from diverse ethnic & religious backgrounds dating from explosion of Moriscos & Jews from Hispania back in 1492 to this date.
