Still playing on PS3 only problem is that my blue ray driver has a temper and doesn't want to read the discs a lot of times and i only have mass effect 3 in physical form 😭

@@zootedandstoopid i play occasionally. Never had an issue getting a quick play game.
Another really good tip is you can uninstall dlcs and only install the one you want to target drops from. Like if you want the geth juggernaut uninstall all dlc except reckoning etc.
This guide helps immensely, started off this game maybe about a week ago and this has probably been the most helpful guide I've seen for a new player.

seriously thanks. I was wasting credits on higher packs before I should have! this is such a sweet game. I can't believe it took me this long to play it! I sure hope other people keep playing online.
+MisterSkaTuba Glad you found it helpful! My main point on these was to help newer players enjoy ME3 a bit better so glad it's working! It's a great game both solo campaign and multiplayer and the multiplayer is alive and well with lots of people still playing. I think the announcement of Andromeda has only stirred people's passion to return to the game.

I know it's years later, but I still found this really helpful. I'll definitely start doing this! My goal is to promote every character as high as I can to lock myself out of the worst ending. This should help make that easier.
The comments on these older videos actually made me jump back on ME3 this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised to find a healthy population of people playing, even on PC. I'm kind of excited to return to it and start playing it a bit more since it seems like people are still enjoying it. Glad you found it helpful!

+Aaliyah actually the video is misleading, if the store says "at least one rare", you cannot get base weapon, or uncommon weapon in that place. you may still unlock base/uncommon in the same pack, but you would still get the rare item, as it is granted.

I only Lack ultra rare weapons idk If the Arsenal Pack or specter Pack would BE better i usally get ammo Typ Drops instead of weapons i lack
God I miss playing this multiplayer for hours and hours and hours and hours... one match could last so long. I miss the feeling of unlocking the different characters, especially since I could show off the super rare ones I got without buying any microsoft points at all. God I wish I could experience the whole mass effect trilogy over again (for the first time), even that damn ending..
You can with the Legendary Edition that just came out, though it doesn't have multiplayer...yet. It's rumored they may be trying to bring it back in, which would make me actually finally purchase the new version.

I did play on pc and i currently play on ps3 i go for spectre packs too cause i look for uncommon equipment (warp rounds 3 for example) as for rare mods and weapons (cause i buy veteran packs for consumables and one level3 too but not just them in general i just want to make sure i have enough equipment and rare grinds to have a better chance for ultra rares also later)
I had around 300 medi-gel before I started using them. Missiles too.

So you can't get the base weapons anymore if you level them out but how does this increase your chances for rare weapons?
I figure you just get other common items in the common slot instead.
You definitly can't get a common weapons instead of a rare weapon.
you have a certain amount of rares fixed.
The only thing possible is the other way round - getting a rare instead of a common.
+TheRubsi You have to look at what each pack can offer. What I'm trying to explain here is you have the 5 common starting weapons. All the veteran and above packs have a chance of awarding those weapons if you haven't maxed them to X. So if you have a level VI Mantis and you buy a Veteran Pack, even though it could give you an uncommon weapon, it will give you a Mantis VII instead. So if you don't have your common and uncommon(recruit/vet pack weapons) maxed out and you wasted 60k+ credits on Specter and above packs, you will have a chance of getting those common and uncommon weapons in place of the rare ones. You are basically wasting credits buying the higher level packs unless you've maxed out your lower rarity weapons first.

Even if you have all the base weapons there are still common and uncommon items in your box, like ammo upgrades and stuff like that.
What you are claiming is that because there are less common items that could drop there is somehow a higher chance for rare items dropping.
but is this really the case?
There should just be a higher chance of getting the left common/uncommon items - like ammo upgrades and armor upgrade, etc..

the pack that gives you two rares, will always give you two rares (unless there is nothing rare you can get anymore, i guess) so if you don't have your base weapon upgraded, and you get an upgrade in a pack with two rares, you will get two rares and that one base weapon...
if the pack gives you 1 or 2 rares for sure, those two rares cannot be basic weapons as they are commons, not rares.
what he may actually want to say, but is not saying, is the arsenal pack have two rares, and higher chance for weapons. i'm not sure if this higher chance for weapons is necessary considered toward the rares.
if not you may end up getting a base weapon, and two rare gear bonus equipment items f.ex.
but i'm not sure if this is the case. that would mean this pack will grand you rare weapon, only when you have all common and uncommon lvled at max.
i'm playing multiplayer for short time, but so far from the arsenal packs the rare items were always weapons, or weapon mods, if i'm not mistaken.
@@IcoKirov you guys are something huh? Yiy can definitely get low rarity weapons out of high end packs. The point is to buy low packs until you level everything to max. Guns and gear. Then move to the next pack. It's not that difficult to understand.
@@erronblack308 I get the general logic, but if I remember correctly the video claimed that you can get basic item instead of the rare one. And that is not true. If it says two rare items you will get two rare items at least.

I know i'm late but I would add that buying the reserves pack repeatedly until you get a character you really like using is totally ok. Just try to find one you like as soon as possible.
Ohhhhhh so that’s why it took 130 hours to unlock the Quarian Engineer
I still need to max out 9 of the Ultra-rare weapons and it's a giant pain in the ass.

Thanks m8. Ill be buying veteran packs. Once I eliminate uncommon items, would my chance increase for a gold weapons in veteran packs though?
I don’t believe so, no. I think you’ll have better luck with the Arsenal pack, or the premium spectre pack.
what packs do I need for common weapon mods like shotgun melee damage?
the same one for the other common stuff...recruit pack.
Arsenal packs have gun mods in them
the explanation at the beginning sound wrong...
the base weapons are common weapons. if you buy a pack that says at least 2 rares. those will be two rares, therefore not one of the basic weapons as they are common...
+Suncho You can still be awarded the common weapons in the higher level packs if you haven't maxed them all out, so you can get a common level weapon instead of a better one. It isn't worth getting the Specter and higher packs until you've got all your common and uncommon guns to level X.
TeKnoVKNG23 you can get a common (base weapon) in the specter pack, but you will still get the rare item!
in the video you pretty much say that if you buy a specter pack and you didn't have all your basic weapons maxed out, you may not get a rare. which is wrong.
the rare in the specter pack is a given. it may not be a weapon, but you will get a rare for sure, no matter if you get a base weapon in the same pack as well.
you should really fix this video or at least make annotation that it gives false/misleading information... looks like a lot of people still search for this stuff and they leave this video with wrong assumptions.
+Suncho Yes you still get rares, but if you eliminate any chance of getting anything lower, you have a higher chance at better. would you rather have 5 commons and 1 rare or 6 rares altogether?
