It only took me five years (haha), but I finally got around to adding chapter markers to this video. You can see the chapter list after clicking "Show More" in the video description. I'm aware of the complaints about this video's length and agree it could've been done better, so hopefully the chapter markers make it easier to get through now.
I think this was the best game mode add on, i was so addicted to it lol, conquered the game, was still playing this.... I'm going through mass effect legendary edition, disappointed they took out multiplayer, at least add it back as just the game mode for fun
The geth prime was my bread and butter when I first unlocked him. Never played anything else even before I found out about his immunities to instant kill grabs and slowdowns. Plus his endless melee drain
Yes, that's a good comparison. If I remember correctly my problem with it was that it left you too vulnerable while using it due to getting locked in to an animation, which can get you killed in Gold/Plat if not used carefully, while Biotic Charge is much more useful and forgiving since it refills your barrier on contact and detonates combos.
27:30 Batarian Soldier I love playing Hit and run DoT bleed damage with the blades and the armor and can punch your way out of being cornered my 1 big enemy in an emergency, but like most kits that have such a niche playstyle its not great on platinum. It can be adequate for aggro management at times on gold and less. I do wish Ballistic blades was an engineer attack that could take on the attribute of an active ammo mod. It would be amazing for an engineer build if it could have the net ability too as a DoT hit and run build. Missed opportunity.
I only run plat when I play w a 90% success rate and usually finish w pretty high score and avg at 25 mins per game. Using the acolyte, almost any power based character works. I mainly use the volus characters, and the starter human adept. I have nearly every character, have tried them all, I still prefer those characters. Obv I agree the staple characters you said are pretty good. But for example I think the human adept is better than the n7 paladin. Does better damage, can detonate all combos w shockwave so always works in a team. Can detonate multiple combos using only 2 abilities, has access to the highest damage combo in the game w warp and shockwave on a single target. Shockwave can stagger anything except bosses so phantoms are easy. Also one shot from an acolyte and then singularity will kill any low level enemy including phantoms. You are also pretty safe as you can peak once to use singularity or warp then go behind cover and run away. Can instantly kill husks w singularity or keep them off of you with shockwave. The only thing that the paladin has over the starter adept is energy drain. Even then it barely helps you survive. Also the volus characters are broken. Every single one. If you’re smart w positioning it’s very hard to die, and they all do decent damage. The vanguard is meh, but can still be used as a weapons platform. The sentinel is amazing. If you have a tank or a high dps character on your team, survival is easy. Half the time I outscore my team. Also combat drone w incendiary ammo is really good as when it self destructs it detonates combos. Decoy takes everything’s focus except brutes and banshees. Maybe praetorians idk. But it does some okish damage, and effectively nullifies the threat of most enemies. Best of those being phantoms and geth primes (yes decoy nullifies geth primes I found it pretty funny). It’ll instantly pop it in one or two shots, but if there’s only one geth prime you can pretty much stun lock it if you recast. The only problem w these characters is squishiness. Sometimes if there’s lag, shield gating doesn’t work and you get instakilled. Mostly a volus problem as they have no health which can get annoying. Even then normally I get sniped in relatively safe positions , where my teammates can res me no problem. They also get a free shield boost when they res a volus anyways sooo... yh. Personally I think the human adept is the best adept, or at least easiest to do well with, I usually score the best or second when I use him. Just spamming acolyte, singularity, acolyte, shockwave, once or twice will kill everything in a choke point and half hit all boss enemies. Banshees can be annoying when they go immune to biotics but I’ve figured out roughly when I can and can’t attack them. Power damage doesn’t affect the combo damage so I normally just run geth scanner and power efficiency or shield regen. Either warp, incendiary or disruptor rounds work well on him. And the acolyte is my favourite gun. The store cucked me, haven’t got the harrier, particle rifle or the hurricane. And because of that I can’t use half the roster effectively. But acolyte and almost any power build does well in platinum. This is due to most characters not inherently being able to melt armour or just being soldiers. Like seriously my highest damage weapons are just the good shotguns. And I don’t even like them that much. I guess piranha or reegar carbine on infriltrators are pretty good. Reload cancelling the claymore on a Krogan soldier is pretty fun too. Also geth juggernaut is also great to have on your team. Usually because when they half know how to play the game, have cyclonic modulator on, Yh we ain’t failing nm what even if it’s a fucking duo on plat.
I know this video is super old but I had to reminisce with Andromida coming out. I actually agreed with every opinion in this video on every class and hero which is amazing with the amount there is to choose from. There was the exception of the N7 soldier I believe to be a complete boss which I think you overlooked imho. But I will be using my paladin shields and teleprts to help my teammates not my enemies ; -) lol.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! Yeah, there's bound to be differences of opinion with so many possibilities in the game, and the fact that it's so dynamic is what makes it great.
I remember the day I bought the entire trilogy when the third game came out, but when I got to the third game I wasn't able to play multiplayer. Didn't realize this is what I missed out on, sad face.
You if you read this. I playes this years ago and i came back to check on the game and play some more. Do you have any idea why I am missing all of my unlocked characters?
Got in the ME3 market too late and ME franchise is dead except for fans. It's been a long time since I've played any of the games. Maybe I'll record ME2 playthrough some time, would be fun!
Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode isn't included in Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which is why you don't see it. You need to purchase Mass Effect 3 separately to play it.

ME3 MP never gets old. Thank you for sharing it. Subs and 'reinstalling it now'.

I feel like havoc strike on the turian is designed to be his equivalent to the biotic charge, it can be used to clear across the battlefield fast

That'll be awesome for you. I'm sure you'll have a lot more views as TH-cam has grown tremendously. I'll let my friends know about your channel!
