You know. When I lived in Texas and learned about this battle in my history class, It made me love the idea of a fortress under seige. I'd build lego forts surrounded by bad guys and had the good guys shooting from the tops of the walls or through windows. Honestly, seeing the battle that really sparked my interest in building battle scenes in lego actually animated makes me feel somewhat nostalgic. Great job man!
Mexico was not the bad guy Santa Ana was
@@calebcaudillo3277 I know. It just got me into the idea of a fortress under seige with two opposing powers. When I'd build the forts it would usually just be Clones vs Droids or something.
Ok but America bullied a weak nation that fought all it could against the intervention of America
Good morning sir
You sound exactly like 7-8 year old me, I did the exact same thing, and I lived in Texas!
I love how Mexicans are straight and formal while Americans are just running around being their American selves XD
I know right
There Texans some were Americans
@Herr Goober not then, they were fighting for the independence of Texas and they formed there own nation for a little bit
Blue uniforms were americans and the grey uniforms are the state militia which are confederates
AND JULEZ AMERICA IS MEXICO AND USA THERE IS CENTRAL AMERICANS AND SOUTH AMERICANS
That was a nice touch with the guy climbing over the wall and retrieving his rifle . Well done on the animation.
This is surprisingly smooth for stopmotion.

The best Alamo stop motion in time
Great way to present a historical event! 👍
great video. I like the eco friendly reusable cannonball
Cannonballs are typically made of iron. By default, they are eco friendly.
i love how you added davy dying last!
Swinging Old Betsy!
Twice he charged, then blew recall.
On the fatal third time
Santana breached the wall,
And he killed them one and all.
Now the bugles are silent
And there's rust on each sword
And this small band of soldiers...
Lie asleep in the arms of the Lord.

Damn right
Thank you are so much for putting in that hard work! My daughter loved it! 🥰👏🏻
This one famous sharpshooter died in the Alamo, as well as the guy who invented the Bowie knife.
You mean David Crockett, one of if not the most famous person from Tennessee, and Jim Bowie, the guy who survived a stab wound in the lung and hand?

está muy bien representado aunque sea en lego y bueno para enseñar la historia del Álamo a los niños, aunque honestamente la representación del Álamo no parece mucho al siquiera al de la película de John Wein
Great job on this video.

Ballad of the Alamo:
By Marty Robbins:
In the southern part of Texas
In the town of San Antone
There’s a fortress all in ruins that the weeds have overgrown
You may look in vain for crosses
and you’ll never see a-one
but sometimes between the setting and the rising of the sun
You can hear a ghostly bugle
As the men go marching by
You can hear them as they answer
To that roll call in the sky
Colonel Travis
Davy Crockett
and a hundred eighty more
Captain Dickinson
Jim Bowie
Present and accounted for
Back in 1836
Houston said to Travis
“Get some volunteers and go
Fortify The Alamo”
Well the men came from Texas
And from ol’ Tennessee
And they joined up with Travis
Just to fight for the right to be free
Indian scouts with squirrel guns
Men with muzzle loaders
Stood together heel and toe
To defend The Alamo
“You may ne’er see your loved ones”
Travis told them that day
“Those who want to can leave now
Those who fight to the death let ‘em stay”
In the sand he drew a line with his army Sabre
Out of a hundred eighty five
Not a soldier crossed the line
With his banners a-dancin’
In the dawns golden light
Santa Anna came prancin’
On a horse that was black as the night
Sent an officer to tell
Travis to surrender
Travis answered with a shell
And a rousin’ rebel yell
Santa Anna turned scarlet
“Play deguello!” He roared
“I will show them no quarter
Everyone will be put to the sword”
One hundred and eighty five
Holdin’ back five thousand
Five days
Six days
Eight days
Ten
Travis held and held again
Then he sent for replacements
For his wounded and lame
But the troops that were comin’
Never came
Never came
Never came
Twice he charged and blew recall
On the fatal third time
Santa Anna breached the wall
And he killed them one and all
Now the bugles are silent
And there’s rust on each sword
And the small band of soldiers….
Lie asleep in the arms of the Lord
In the southern part of Texas
Near the town of San Antone
Like a statue on his pinto
Rides a cowboy all alone
And he sees the cattle Grazin’ where a century before
Santa Anna’s guns were blazing and the cannons used to roar
And his eyes turned sorta misty
And his heart begins to glow
And he takes his hat of slowly
….to the men of Alamo
……….
To the thirteen days of glory….
At the siege of Alamo

larga vida a texas
All of the Texan died at the Alamo, 3 men from my county were at that battle and died and later Houston won a battle in 17 minutes to claim Texas Independence and by saying "REMEMBER THE ALAMO"
Actually, not all died, William Travis’s slave escaped, with all the documents inside the Alamo.
It is said in Spanish diaries that five prisoners were taken after the battle. One of them was Davy Crockett and since Santa Anna gave no quarter, they were executed. The Spanish soldiers said they showed no fear and were extremely brave. I'm actually from around where Davy grew up.
Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad was the full Battle cry
@Unlucky Seabird Mexican not Spanish. Those "diaries" were fake.
@@stonerayven2455 I was about to say "Remember Goliad!" But it looks like you've got that covered.
I like the mexicans uniforms!!
Lookin good!
thanks
Only few Mexicans wore blue, some by their cannon, artillery units but most Mexicans wore white, red and green with Mexican roundels on top of their hats as seen in the 1960s film.
best lego dude i ever wached
Brave men on both sides rip
Good job!
this video was so good.
You are my favorite LEGO army youtuber
Great stuff... although, despite legends and myths, according to letters from Mexican officers and soldiers present, Davey Crockett was captured and then killed with several others immediately after the battle.
Also only about 60 mexican soldiers died. This was hardly a battle but a slaughterhouse. Texan myths and folklore made ppl believe that hundreds of Mexican soldiers died at the alamo when that never happened
@@Elitecommando501 I don't know about that, the same officer Martín who mentions Crocket being caught and killed afterwards says Mexican losses were high. Who knows?
Nosotros los mexicanos le conocemos como "fusilar",que es cuando un prisionero de batalla se asesina por la ley
@@Elitecommando501 ,tienes razón, aunque aún hay confusión,saludos desde su país vecino, México
@@Elitecommando501 even Mexican accounts agree on the number killed. You had over 300 defenders in a fortified position. There's no way only 60 died. What's your source for only 60 Mexicans being killed?

Meaning of the story: don't let Americans in mass on your land, or they will claim it as their own. Under the pretext of freeing it.
Are you mex
@@melindanewman6655 are you american?
The "Americans" were Mexicans. Mexico invited immigrants in to help settle the vast territory of Texas and keep the marauding native tribes in check. There were immigrants from all over Europe as well as the United States. To settle there, you were required to become a Mexican citizen, learn Spanish and convert to Catholicism. The rebellion started when President Antonio Lopes de Santa Anna used the military to remove the Mexican Constitution of 1824 and dissolve the Legislature thereby establishing himself as a dictator. (Julius Caesar attempted to do that in Rome, Charles I tried that in England, Louis the XVI tried that in France, Nicholas II tried that in Russia). It's surprising Santa Anna didn't suffer the same fate. The army was then dispatched to disarm the citizenry. In the town of Gonzales, General Cos arrived with his troops to take a cannon that belonged to the people. 167 men defeated him and his troops, and the revolution had begun. These were Mexicans resisting a tyrannical government. These were not Americans stealing land from Mexico. Incidentally, a large percentage of the Mexicans involved in the Revolution were native Mexicans. (look up Juan Seguin). If you wish to split hairs about who the land belonged to, then my native Comanche ancestors would like a word with you. Spain stole it from them and other native tribes, Mexico took it from Spain, and the Texians kept it for themselves and later joined up with the United States.
@@saps1850 They were anglo rebels who, among other things, wanted to keep slavery after Mexico abolished it. Yep, basically a prelude of the Civil War if the South had won. They did steal land from Mexico, they just weren't part of the USA yet. And yes, the land was originally stolen from Indigenous Americans. But bear in mind that in general the Spanish allowed Indigenous peoples to stay, while the USA herded them onto reservations far from home.

It is true that sometimes the gunpowder used by the Mexican army was not of the best quality, but there is no evidence that their grenades were primed and fired again by the filibusters.
And the line on the ground drawn by Travis' sword is also a myth.
It’s like right back at ya buckaroo
How is his hand not burning from that
3:11 FRIENDLY FIRE!! GET HIM
I love how the dude just took the cannon ball that landed and put it inside their own.
It is funny, because many Texans wore leather and pellets bounced off of them due to the Mexicans not using enough gunpowder.
@@devint2310 That's BS 😂😂
@@devint2310 Their leather didn't save them though... They all got slaughtered
@@Elitecommando501 well I didnt mean it saved all of them, but at a range it did actually work. Of course they eventually got overrun as the Mexicans got closer. It just makes sense, the Mexicans put a lot less powder in, so it had less penetration and muzzle velocity. I'm not tryna start a debate, if you dont wanna believe me just believe what you will I guess.
@@devint2310 Ah I see. It makes sense if it saved them from a distance. Close quarters on the other hand would have been lethal. A huge part of the battle was in close range

Wow looks amazing. Great storyline too. Consider me subbed. I make Lego Star Wars movies if you get a chance to watch em.
I do like it keep it up and that Texan missing that cannon shot is funny
Me parece bien el enseñar el tema de la historia del Álamo aunque sea en Lego me parece algo muy instructivo, y como dicen en Estados Unidos recuerden el Álamo
Did they really take the cannon balls and fire them back? American history nerds, help a Canadian brother out!
Did you notice that the Lego Texian only retrieved one of the two shots?
Re-use of solid iron shot was not unheard of but certain conditions had to be met to make it practical:
- limited or no supply of fresh shot
- means to recover the heavy projectiles
- the spent shot must not be noticeably damaged or deformed
- the caliber of the shot must be compatible with the cannons they're intended to be re-used in
This is really good, perhaps another civil war, rev war, or maybe war of 1812 anims?
So where do you get all the cool minifigs and accessories? Love the videos.

3:11 FRIENDLY FIRE! FRIENDLY FIRE!
😆 the guy that just picks up the cannonball and sends it back to them
It was because the gunpowder used by Santa Anna's cannons weren't powerful enough to shoot the cannonball beyond the front of the Alamo. They just kept shooting the same few cannonball back and forth.
@@johnny-jk8si Yea they used 6 pound cannons the wall breaking cannons were supposed to come in on March 7th Wich is my b day btw but he was eager to capture the alamo
Great job, but I think you should have found a way to make it seem like the Mexican army is bigger than what is displayed.
