As "Napoleon" movie hit cinemas I decided to continue my own "Waterloo" project. New part is coming next year and so far decided to combine all existing parts together. So LEGO history project "Waterloo" - 3 parts together

I disagree because after the battle of ligny he says “napoleon did not order to pursue the retreating Prussians” and in real life he did order to pursue them!
This was just a lot of fun to watch. I'm a military history buff through and through and am quite familiar with this story however, this approach is simply great! Having a "narrator/tour guide", in a khaki helmet and uniform no less, makes it even better! If it were up to me, videos like this would be used to teach children all about history and major world events. It would be, imho, a whole lot more engaging. Outstanding stuff, as are all of your offerings! Thank you for all you do.
I like the detail of the officer with the axe being the one who broke the door down, since a French second lieutenant had actually used an axe to help break the door down and lead the charge inside.
@@Baconcombo_yt If you are a fan of "powder rifles wars" than check my "Northern war", battle of Narva. Sweden vs Russia. I think its a great history lesson and one of my best according to the quality.
8:43 Napoleon did send Marshal Grouchy to lead a mass Cavalry to pursue the Prussians. However, the orders he sent were ambiguous due to his Italian French accent. The Staff Marshal Soult informed Marshal Grouchy 2 orders. One was “to chase the Prussians and prevent their reunion with Brits at any cost.” The other was “to keep close contact with the emperor just in case of emergencies”. At 3pm on the final battle day, Soult sent a messenger to urge Grouchy to join Waterloo. However, the marshal never received the order cuz the messenger lost his way. The emperor reviewed, “If Berthier was at Waterloo instead of Soult, he would have sent 3 messengers.”
The animations are so natural. These videos take patience. I’ve tried but I get crappy scenes and I run out of patience in a matter of time. I respect the effort you put into your videos!
It is a great retelling, but at Quatre-Bras Michel Ney did not face the British, at least not initially, but the combined Dutch-Belgian force of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands who won the allies enough time to set up defences near the Mont-St.-Jean farmstead outside Waterloo.
love this its historically accurate i also love how there's a narrator speaking its like as if he's giving us a tour guide i hope your channel grows bigger and bigger

Ah, so many questions! I loved that musket-loading sequence, but is that ramrod a graphic add-on? Do you really have that many Napoleonic minis or are some of those larger shot created with matts? How long did this whole part of the project take?! Your attention to detail and unique camera angles really make this whole thing wonderful!!

1:27 : Sweden was actually good freind with France before, but as the Swedish king didn't have kids he asked his best allies at the moment (france) to send someone to be the king. So there was one high-ranked officer (or general i dont remember) that got to Sweden and was sacred king. After by his interests, the He decided to trade with Russia and the United Kingdom wich resulted Sweden to be in ennemy with France, after wich Sweden supported it's new "allies" by attacking France with their allies. Nowadays, in France, this guy is considered as a traitor, (and no it's not because he took the throne, that is because he betrayed the Swedish-French relationship.
Sweden was an ally of France from around 1630 to 1789. After the french revolution and more importantly they executed their king, Sweden and its king was the enemy of France. Outrageos, killing your king! After the peace at Tilsit, Russia invaded Sweden and conquered the eastern part (Finland). The war did not go well for Sweden and a coup deposed the king. Sweden was forced to declare war on Great Britain and not trade with her. But in reality Sweden was not friends with France and gave the British a base in Sweden where they could transfer their goods onto neutral ships. But they did try recruit first a danish prince (but he died of a heart attack) and then a french general to get better relations with France because Russia was the bigger enemy. But the general recruited, marshal Jean Baptiste Bernadotte was out of favour with Napoleon and took Sweden back into the anti-french camp.
To be fair napoleon's mainly to blame for the betrayal, be invaded swedish pomerania in q812 before the invasion of russia and effectively secured their support of Russia.
Very great video, good animation, great soundeffects and great uniforms, But one problem: ligny lies in namur, Belgium, not Holland. The attack on hougemont was from the south not the north, in the forest were germans, not britons, it was the nothern gate the french broke throug and the southern gate they held. Sorry if I insult you with this
I've always hated Lego. Even as a child I could never understand how, beyond building structures or 'square things', any kid found them interesting. But I have to say, this is a work of art! As a fan of the Napoleonic period, it's far better than the Ridley Scott effort.

Fun fact: Before the brickfilm I had an AD with the real Napoleon movie

this is a fantastic animation! I learned alot i didnt know about the battle of waterloo. the animation was very into detail. Great job!
Good job. Ridley Scott should learn from you guys how to make a historical movie. Thank you for sharing.

As some one who used to make stop motion video's like this: this must take so long.
Many of Napoleons force on his March to Paris were just armed men and some soldiers of the 5th artillery regiment
