How much louder over stock would you say it is ? Also how much did you gain HP/TQ after this and tune as I’m getting the same headers. Thanks!

Its decently loud with the mufflers open but not at all louder with them shut. It is cat less and made I think 428 hp and torque on the dyno

What brand headers are they ?

So I currently have npp exhaust with mild to wild on my gs. I’m wondering if headers and xpipe would be worth it for the sound alone as I want to keep the quite switch. I don’t care about the power I just want a better noise. Or would a axle back system sound better than a car with headers and npp

If you don't have emissions the headers and catless xpipe will sound better then a different muffler plus being able to have it quit is really nice if you are trying to have a conversation in the car or talk on the phone. I think it's worth it and the extra power is the cherry on top.

@@pnw_cruiser without cats, you'll have to deal with the exhaust stink. For that reason I went with a catted X pipe. In fact I went with Kooks ceramic coated headers and X-pipes. The ceramic coating helps to reduce the heat.

@@Morris1974How’s the ceramic coating holding up? I have a 5th gen Camaro SS, and my stainless steel long tubes have been causing all sorts of heat soak issues. I can get a vented hood, but that will only help so much…
I got rid of the stock oil cooler and starter motor, and even the stock clutch line. Everything I reinstalled was heat wrapped with titanium or fiberglass heat wrap/tubing. I’ve gone to a stainless steel braided clutch line; went for a 30-row oil cooler, with a thermostatic block oil feed; and I also got a Powermaster Pro XS starter motor, along with extra 4-ga ground cables in the trunk and engine bay.

What long tubes are you running , abs are you catless ? Does it smell bad no cats ?

I am running speed engineering long tube headers catless and stock npp mufflers. The clamps in the kit where trash so i had everything welded up and yeah i can smell it sometimes when stopped but it doesn't bother me at all

I had it tuned but didn't have a check engine light before that either.
