- This was supposed to be a hurriedly thrown together show tape in 1982, to see if we could actually produce a show tape in 2 days. Day 1 was the recording of the show, where al the voices gathered to do a live, 1 take production, each of us making up our own lines that no one else knew about, and then, 1 day to program the show. It was never to be videotaped or analyzed or critiqued. It was just a quick Christmas show for Showbiz Pizza Place. You can see evidence of the sloppiness of this production all over including the programming of Billy Bob's mouth at the beginning, and minimal precision throughout. But, it has become a "Classic" and Kenny Ryman asked to sponsor its production into a High Definition, You Tube production as a gift to all the fans. Thank you Kenny!

I love how they kept the laughter in the back of the voice recorders. You could tell they were just messing around. Especially Mitzy's VA barely being able to hold in her laugh.

The rock afire has such good programing and fluid momentum , meanwhile the cec ones seems robotic and un life like. You could tell Aaron and his team really cared for the rae and showbiz
it's been a long time since they've been updated, not to mention the team's lack of care with the animatronics, as they keep failing, especially helen who breaks all the time, I've seen 3 malfunctions in her in a top 10, and a guy who worked at CEC said she was always cross-eyed

We had a showbiz pizza place in Green Bay growing up. I’d absolutely love to be able to experience these again. Maybe it was just me but they were entertaining even as a child.

I only got to go to Showbiz Pizza once, but it was an amazing experience I often think back on. I can even remember how the pizza smelled and tasted! I wish there were a copycat recipe so I could make my own. It was the best pizza ever! I remember one of the shows played was the oldies melody, which was amazing! Back then, I didn't realize they were animatronics. I thought they were real people dressed up and performing to the music lol!

Really goes to show you the power of something when the guy who designed it all and has his heart and soul in it is in charge. The painstaking effort put into programming all the animation for every character even during the times when they're in the background and not talking.. all the subtle movements and expressions, it's amazing. Places like Billy Bob's Wonderland lets their character falls apart, while Aaron is pushing them to the limits of their capabilities and still letting them 'live on' by continuing to make shows like nothing's changed. Not to mention the fact that he even changes their hair styles and stuff between shows for that extra bit of realism.. amazing.
I actually figured Aaron voiced most of the male characters himself but maybe I'm wrong. I love the organic approach here, leaving in mistakes and blunders like Mitzi cracking up and laughing. It's almost like a improve acting.
