Awesome rapid fire video! I am currently growing Lemon Drops to go with my Cayenne I saved seeds for this past summer. It was just a seed germination tester that got out of control lol
I just had raw red boquinho peppers in a salad while visiting Puerto Rico. The first bite seemed hot, but they quickly cooled and became sweet, mild, and smokey. There's a Scoville scale discrepancy showing both 500-1000 and 1000-2000. The one I had was definitely 500-1000. I ordered some from Baker Creek. If they're too spicy, I'll pickle them, chop them, and make a cream cheese dip and top the cracker with a piece of tropical fruit.
Nice review. I love the taste and smell of the Shishito pepper. I grew an extra plant too! 😂 Supposedly the Ise and Padrón peppers have similar taste profiles. I am going to grow those varieties this season. I like the variegated varieties and the varieties that are just pretty! I am adding the following peppers this season: VSRP Poblano, Patchwork, Scarlett's Chili, Mocha Swirl, Pippin’s Golden Honey, Mattapeño and Candy Cane Chocolate Cherry peppers. Subscribing!
Glad to have you join me! :) I was thinking about adding the candy cane chocolate cherry and Mattapeño myself! Perhaps not this year, but maybe next year!
Hey, that orange Peter writing is the same as some of mine from my friend in Oklahoma who sells on Etsy! I have a ton of weird varieties & now need to cut down on spicy food because of stomach acid issues. Please let me know if you’d like some new varieties to try that won’t burn your face off?
You know what’s wild is I think I did get the orange Peter off of Etsy and I am 99% sure it came from Oklahoma! 😂 and yes, always interested in other pepper varieties that aren’t crazy hot - I get acid reflux from things that are way too hot/can’t eat spicy food after 6PM if I don’t want issues!
@ Same! My GI doc just told me last week that I have twice the amount of reflux a normal person has, so no more triggers. Yep, that’s the guy! I got to go to his house here in OKC to buy some jujube trees he had for sale. Nice people! Okay. Lemme get my seeds out this week and weed out the ones for yall.
Great Video 😃🎉 Thank you for sharing all these varieties 🙏 Definitely got some ideas..
You’re welcome, hope you find a new favorite! 😊🌶️🫑
@cookseyfarms I'm definitely going for it 😁🙏 Happy New Year 🎊 2025!
@@Godisincontrol325 Whoo! Same to you! 🤗

Yeah, I think the really small ones are probably better for pickling and doing something like you mentioned!!!
Wow, do you ever have a lot of pepper varieties. Nice review 👍
Haha, thanks!

@ that’s amazing that you have a good source for seeds and trees nearby! But also maybe dangerous 😂
