When Should You Start Your Fall/Winter Seeds?
Awesome! I never bought any plants this year.
Good for you, it’s hard to refrain!
Why don't you plant your own vegetables garden and you can share with your parents the fruits of your labour instead of taking their produce. You are old enough not to depend on your parents. 😮😢
If you saw my content or knew anything about me, you’d know that I do. “Stealing” was a joke; my dad and I both grow things and share with each other, sorry it went completely over your head.
Looks like a good tool to use on weeds 👍
Definitely! Saves my hands for sure!
Absolutely!
:)
I will let them dry and then collect the seeds or I’ll just throw them in the compost. It’s a beautiful zinnias.
Most of these were already dried, so I am definitely saving these seeds!
@@cookseyfarms if the seeds were completely dry, yes I would take the seeds
That was an interesting video.as in the South Asian region, we use them a lot for drinking purposes, and we place some near our plants, so they are irrigated.
That’s great!
Nice, do you the kind of the 2 tomatoes you took purple and yellow , I have the same and I saved the seeds, can't find the kind or names, thanks.
The purple-ish ones are black cherry tomatoes! The yellow ones I believe he saved from year’s past and they were a cross pollination of something, but there’s lot of yellow ones that are similar, one variety that comes to mind is golden nugget, so that could be something similar to what you’ve got!
@@cookseyfarms Thank you very much, it's exactly that lol, don't know when I search I couldn't find them, they're so good too, the purple black ones have a plum taste and the yellow very sugary taste, thanks again. ')
@@dannygarden464 of course!!! The black cherry are in my top 3 tomatoes!
What kind of vegetable is that?
They are shishito peppers! Nice and mild and they taste great blistered in a bit of oil!
@@cookseyfarms Had to watch some video recipes, looks tasty 😋
@@jy2930 They are VERY tasty!!!
I have completed Ur 1k subscribers
Ha, thanks!
Yum !
🤗💚
That looks rlly cool!
🤗
I feel like i'll need some ollas for my garden soon 😂
Haha is it heating up for you?!
@@cookseyfarms Yup, warm season is coming 😂
@@rizesgardening Warm season never really tends to go away for us here!!! 😂
Fabulous!
🤩💚
Awesome!!
Thanks!
Is that sponge or the little pod things
those are the sponges that go into the pods :)
🙌 May you always get more than the pests. 😊
Right?!!!
In terms of taste do you prefer Isis Candy or Sungold?
Great question! I think I'd actually have to go with the Isis Candy for taste! I love both though, but for taste, I feel like Isis Candy is a bit sweeter.
@@cookseyfarms Thank your for your response. I will take up on your review and choose the Isis Candy.
@@Godlillithadameve nice! You can’t go wrong with either, I feel the sungold is slightly more productive and is earlier to fruit and is the last plant I remove but the isis candy does have some unique flavors to it!
Cool!
Thanks for watching! 💚
I've never owned or used them, but they seem interesting. They are quite costly.
Yeah here in California it’s worth using them due to the high cost of water and it can save time needing to water. There are often deals or some nurseries might sell them at a good price, I was able to get the larger ones at a pottery shop for $15 but people also make their own DIY ones out of the cheap terra cotta pots and saucers!
@@cookseyfarms $15 is a very good deal. I'm glad you were able to find that and I'd be going back often for more at that price 🙂
@@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu they definitely sell out quickly at that price!
Nice 👍 I’ve never seen one before.
Yeah, they're great!
You get the added benefit of being citrus greening-resistant!
That's right!!!
Great info about this tomato 🙂
Thanks for watching! :)
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
What are those small box like things attached to your raised garden beds? They look like solar something!
They are solar lights! They’re magnetic so they are nice and easy to move!
@@cookseyfarms Neat
@@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu yeah! A lot of people who need a lot at once get the junebearing kind so they are ready earlier in the summer but pretty much stop producing after the first huge flush!
The heat and critters can do so much damage. I'm glad some of your plants are making a rebound ❤Do the everbearing strawberry plants fruit twice in a season?
Oh yes, once the everbearing get going they’ll keep producing until they go dormant!
🤗💚
I didn't know about the sack. You are just full of great info. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching! 💚💚💚
I agree that fermenting is smelly and I dislike it as well. I put mine on a paper plate and wipe with paper towel until they come clean and then transfer onto a clean paper plate to dry 🙂Works great and no toothpicks involved.
Yeah, some things just seem harder than they need to be! I do like to use the toothpick at least because it ensures the gel sac is removed and also it does help transferring them to the plate without sticking to my hands or the paper towel! :D
Yooo awesome
Thank you!
I love the thought of growing different tomatoes, but it seems hybrids are often the best producers in the south. I'll probably do some research and find some suitable for the heat and humidity. I love these reviews.
Yeah honestly, even here the hybrids do tend to do better as well, like sungolds. I like to have a nice variety of different colored tomatoes as well, but, sometimes you just gotta go with tried and true!
Life and living be like
amazing insects !
truly! :)
Love it when this happens, very relatable
Yes!!!
Great reflections and insights 🙂
Thank you!
Appreciate you passing along your experiences 🙂Thanks.
of course!
We grew these a few years ago. Interesting, but we agree with you. Flavor was not for us. We stick to Black Cherry and Rosalita Grape tomatoes now.
The Black Cherry is a favorite of mine! The Rosalita grape sounds interesting! I'll have to try it!
It's beautiful. I really need to try more varieties.
Yeah I’ve been trying a bunch the last few years but am now at a good point to narrow down what varieties I really like!
Nice!
Thanks!
Pretty cool cross pollination. Indigo Banana, lol.........great name.
I think so too! 😂
Thank you for this video!! I posted short asking if the eggs were ladybugs and this video perfectly answered that!!!🤙
I am so glad it was helpful!!!!
You always have great information. It's always appreciated.
Thank you! I appreciate you and your support always! 💚
Good information to know. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
For the life of me i thought that you would have to do something else to him.
😂
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
At least you got a plant. 😂 Are they perennials where you live?
Ehhh sorta. They really hate the heat, but I have had some that looked like an otherwise dead plant bloom the other week. This poppy footage was actually taken about a month and a half ago, I just never posted it!
That's the fruit of your labor.....and as you say, there's always next year.
Haha yep!
Do you think it would be a good idea to plant the nasturtium now? ( early September) I live in zone 6b :)
You could, but they really do not like heat at all, but you're a few zones lower than me, so it's probably okay, just cover them if you do plant them and wind up with a hot day!
Lovely fruiting...Nice gardening work and information shared 👍
Thanks for watching! 💚☺️
Cute!❤
Thanks! :)
I hear it's a long-standing American tradition that dates back to the day you made it up. 😂
😂😂😂 accurate!
