Ubisoft stock plummeting. NPC reaction: Must have been the wind.
It's obvious back in the day innovation was at the forefront of video game development, Farcry 2 has such an amazing level of detail, you had enemies that would provide cover fire while another drags an injured enemy behind cover, they would retreat when overwhelmed, or start acting differently as the situation changes, weapon jams and all sorts of little things that worked really nicely. same with splinter cell, it had its faults (telepath dogs, never forget) but again the way they looked innovating how stealth worked in games, between the different splinter cell games they would bring new systems or tweak old ones. The trend we see now days, is the reduction in budget for innovation, the recycling of assets, and tools to deliver more bland content spread out over multiple releases. CA is another classic example of this. all this game needed was a bit of attention to detail, scrap 90% of the marketing budget, invest in some R&D and then simply show case a trailer showing some incredible game play where the AI is intelligent and challenging. funny thing is they just need to take elements from previous games and fit them in here, they made some of the best stealth games, some of the best shooter/adventure games, some of the best open world adventure games of the days.
little things like, when she punches an armoured enemy she recoils, its Plastoid which is supposed to be light but incredibly tough. you could then introduce an electric baton or a small plasma knife that will make take downs of armoured folks easier. this way, when you start off, troopers are actually scary. They are a hard target and shouldn't be that easy to overcome. this will make leaning into stealth much more meaningful, I can not take out an outpost head on, I need to go in and maybe take out some of the heavier opponents.
attention to detail is what has changed from back in the day.
This comment isn’t getting enough love.
@griffinwalnoha178 Thank you ! It's annoying how we now have youtube videos about "bet you didn't know the Devs added this," basically praising attention to detail because we are starved of it.
I can't enjoy the newer Far Cry games because the immersion is always breaking. The fanatasy of this game is broken when a solitary rogue takes out a whole garrison with their fists.. who needs the rebels or a jedi !
Damn...those are some good points that i really agree with!!!
Well.. it's intentional. Their audience is no longer "gamers" who think in-universe and logically. Those types of people have high expectations for media, story wise, mechanics wise, etc.
It's the same for the films; they want to chase away the old fans who know the characters, lore, and universe. They want a new crowd that can't differentiate between chocolate pudding and a fresh turd.
They already fired and drove away the talent that produced the gems that won them their reputations and built up their IPs. Now they can't produce quality. They're already locked into this course, and only firing the entire board of directors and every high level manager could possibly clean it up.
It’s just in the indie and AA market.
Don't make character stronger, make entire world around it weaker!
Make it as low stakes as possible, that's what fun is all about!
Basically wokeism and feminism 😂
If we can't convince with gameplay, at least we succeed at comedy!
this is what u get when u hive ppl because of DIVERSITY, instead of actual talent and skills
We are paying too much that's why they are slacking.
that's the thing never pay for ubisoft.
@@sir.sleepsalot2711 the only ubisoft game I paid for was Far Cry 3, was totally worth the money. But now I won't even think about buying a game from Ubisoft.
It's like Bethesda
“We” yeah, I’m not buying this, and neither should anyone else. Prove that bad games get bad sales
Most AAA devs are full of DEI hires and focus on political ideologies as opposed to outputting quality products - I don't know anyone who pays for this shit anymore.
looks like a weird feminist power fantasy.
enemy fire doesn't kill you. punches against helmets knock enemies out.
I wouldn't read too much into it, it's just shit game design
@@Titere05 Actually it's true. Gender dynamics are changing both at the conscious and unconscious level. The "woke" imagery in the art of today is not meant to reflect reality any more than a dream. It comes from the unconscious and is a symbolic expression of a compensation.
@@hugoclarke3284Isn’t Bayonetta a feminist fantasy though? I mean hell, even Lady Gaga loves that game.
@@hugoclarke3284If your head was any further up your ass it would come out the other end.
@@randomguy6679 Most women see Bayonetta as a male fantasy, she's a big boobed woman in a revealing skintight bodysuit.
the only reason why they miss in the movie is the MAIN pro's hav plot armor- this random person on the other hand, somehow has it. she's like rey tbh, the moment she gets, wait, actually she doesnt get anything but the millenium falcon somehow. ffs Stop giving random characters jedi powers without anything to back it up.
Lazy npc, main character and the studio that made this mess of a game
Love that silent takedowns give a second or two for the enemy to yell.
how is it that easy to be knocked out by just a punch when you are literally wearing a helmet designed for battle
We are definitely approaching AAAAA games at this point
She’s not telegraphing those punches, she’s dictating them and sending them through the mail
I like how you just punch them in the helmet and they go down instantly. Meanwhile Cal is doing all these crazy lightsaber combos over in Jedi Survivor.
I imagine how it goes.
"Boss, who the hell needs a lightsaber? It’s overrated!"
Remember, this is Ubisoft, the same company also made Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed. Please bring back Splinter Cell and older Ubisoft!
No please don't bring back Splinter Cell with this current Ubiturd condition. It will be an ugly insufferable wahmen, and make Sam Fisher an NPC.
please don't, let sam fisher rest in peace.
Old hardcore devs are gone, replaced by millennial devs
It will never happen. Abandon all AAA games companies.
@MultiDivebomber Ok boomer
The most egregious thing is putting yellow paint on only the ends of the ladder, they’re clear idiot markers for those who don’t know how ladders work and yet they tried being subtle with only marking part of them yellow. It doesn’t even fit having bright yellow for 20% of the damn thing.
Her punches look like how it feels to punch in a dream
Can't get over the AAAAAAA facial animation quality in the thumbnail. That is not production value, that is the terrified scream out of my mouth.
2024 AAAAAAAAAAA quality
So much for “graphics don’t matter”….
@@randomguy6679 graphics don't matter if you are not doing photorealistic. If they went animated there'd be no uncanny valley. Like, show me a SW fan out there who wouldn't love having a SW game that used the Clone Wars art style instead of photorealism.
@@yavorvlaskov5404 Come on, I wouldn’t call this photorealistic. I just find it funny that everybody says “oh, graphics don’t matter in a game”, and then they go apeshit when their lead female character doesn’t look like a super model. So do graphics matter or do they not? Pick a lane and stick to it guys.
@@randomguy6679 it is clearly intended to be photorealistic regardless of what you want to call it. If it required mocap, it intended photorealism. It has varying degrees between games of course, but it absolutely means intended photorealism if it features even a little, and this has more than a little.

I can't believe they actually had them say "Must've been the wind"
I think that is edited in.
They didn't. Its edited in as a joke. The voiceline audio is literally from the female Khajit npcs in Oblivion.
its from elders scrolls 4 oblivion.
The fucking haymakers... just bones exploding in your hand as your punch armored troopers over and over again.
As a martial arts guy, the way she throws her hooks just makes me cringe and the superman punch is even worse somehow lol
it's more like slapping with fingers clenched. they've got so soft to the point they cannot even picture what punching is.
Bruce Lee did those Swing punches in some of his movies though. Lee said he did that for the Camera work and would never do that in a real fight or a spar.
Ubisoft did it at 0.25 speed because they took Lee's advice seriously. They really want the players to see every frame of those punches.
I can understand not giving her a knife, but not giving her a stun baton or like stun brass knuckles was a weird choice.
