or you have a different opinion that isn't necessarily opposite or evil. the reality is that racial issues are far more nuanced than labels. maybe this is great for one country or for westernized mon-cultural world, but we don't just have skin colour. we have thousands of years of history and culture. my race or nationality should not be used for discrimination, but it is part of my identity. I can't tell my Ugandan sister in law that she isn't black because she lives in Australia now. she has a culture and an identity that is intrinsically linked with her experience of being in her body in the place she grew up. If anyone said she was lesser than me because I'm white and she isn't, i would punch them in the face! but saying that taking the labels away will stop racism is silly.

or you have a different opinion that isn't necessarily opposite or evil. the reality is that racial issues are far more nuanced than labels. maybe this is great for one country or for westernized mon-cultural world, but we don't just have skin colour. we have thousands of years of history and culture. my race or nationality should not be used for discrimination, but it is part of my identity. I can't tell my Ugandan sister in law that she isn't black because she lives in Australia now. she has a culture and an identity that is intrinsically linked with her experience of being in her body in the place she grew up. If anyone said she was lesser than me because I'm white and she isn't, i would punch them in the face! but saying that taking the labels away will stop racism is silly.

But he is going about it by being stupid. You shouldn't say a person isn't who they are. For instance, I am an American. To say that is just a label, and I am not an American is f#$&%^ing stupid. Rather, you should say you shouldn't judge all American's by their stereotypes. This sort of nonsense is absolutely detrimental to actually solving the problem.
Look, very few people judge everyone just by the color of their skin. Most people who say a person is white or black can actually distinguish you from a car. Much of the video is disingenuous in that way. Are you saying that your biology doesn't exist, like darker pigments, and certain genes that are actually existent in Africans or White Europeans, or Asians, etc? That can make health issues unique to those genes, like certain Neanderthal genes that can be present leading to diabetes (non-Africans), and how some black African genes can lead to higher risk or heart attack and resistance to malaria?
Am I saying every black or white person is the same in their race, and judging them all? No, I am a pure capitalist, firmly rooted in a love for personal responsibility. Just because you are a subset of a larger group, doesn't mean you have the same traits as everyone in that group. That is stupid. That is a logical fallacy, and no one should judge anyone based on principles that may or may not be prevalent in that group. But denying that group has those traits as a whole in larger percentages (NOT ABSOLUTES), is hurting your perception of reality, and hurting your ability to actually see those things, and try and correct problems like them.
And labels are useful sometimes. Imagine if we didn't have labels like American, and Chinese? This world could get very confusing, and it would probably hurt progress in many ways. This video promotes ignorance. And no one thinks every American or Chinese person is the same, and the subtotal of their stereotypes. At least not most rational people. Even the labels for different languages and the thoughts attached to each language. That would really be confusing to not have.
