The battle theme music in 4 really is incredible! I love putting it on in the house when I’m doing calisthenics at home! Makes me feel like a hero in with a great mission.
This's my favorite game of all time, I have every single version of it ever released on every console. I've beaten it 100% at least a couple hundred times, got the Platinum Trophy on it at least 3 times. 100% Bestiary, Adamant Armor on every character, All 4 hidden secret Summons, and Level 99 on everyone. Everything about this game is a masterpiece Imo, the soundtrack is Chef's kiss, the characters and story are fantastic, No game will ever top this game to me. Kain is my favorite video game character of all time! XD
Having only touched a few FF like 7, 8 and 10 i really appreciate how deep this video describes 4 and how much it has to offer! Also sorry to be a pain but could someone tell me the names of the games shown before the introduction from 0:45 to 1:10? Please and thank you!
Nah, I disagree. IV is very rough, poorly balanced and very rigid in its progression. It in many ways feels like a prototype of VI - no jobs, properly character driven, proper antagonist, proper customization, etc. To me IV is very much part of the formative. It's not bad, but I don't think it aged well.
(Spoilers for Final Fantasy 6 below) Thanks for commenting! I respect, but disagree with your opinion. I do agree there are moments where 4 feels oldschool in its SUPER fast pacing when compared with later entries, but I still think gameplay and progression wise it’s excellent! It doesn’t have the customization of 5 or 6, 6 which is my favorite in the series tied with the Sphere Grid. As for the villain thing, I really love Kefka mostly because he technically won. The floating continent scene and what happens after is amazing. But other than that, all we know about his story is he was experimented on and it messed up his mind. We don’t get any idea why he likes to kill and destroy things, unless there’s some expanded lore stuff I haven’t read.
My goofy brain forgot to put a timestamp to skip those two scenes I talk about at the end of the game! 20:41
A really well made video, good job.
Thank you.

😂 thanks for the love bro. Glad to hear you love the tunes.
Me enjoying your vids but having never touched a Final Fantasy game: “yeah DillyD is so right, Kefka is definitely evil just for evil’s sake.”
Good stuff homie, I’ve never been especially into RPGs myself but the video was a fun watch.
Thank you!
Dilly D back with another classic 🔥
Thank you!!

Personally it aged perfectly. It's truly the jrpg that started the golden age.
