After the 2 seasons the 2 Christmas specials are important to watch
That subtle shot with Gareth leaving in the sidecar and glancing to the camera is one of the best comedy shots there has ever been. Genius
Wide-eyed terrified 😳😂
I love that image- made all the better as the last you see is him dead against going home with her 😂😂
Agreed. Always thought the look spoke a thousand words
PLEASE do ”Extras” next!
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant top notch work.
Yes!! definitely!
And life's too short
Genuinely believe that Extras is one of the funniest shows created
@@talliswatters-cowan8839 The bloopers are hilarious and the episode with Les Dennis almost made me wet myself.
I love a celebrity that doesn’t take themselves too serious.
Donna isn't related to David Brent. She's his employee & his friends' daughter.
"Different drinks for different...needs." Always cracks me up
Yes, Gareth decides on a devil's threeway!
Unlike other commenters I like hearing about your experiences...but you would hate me, I loved clubbing in the 90s/00s! There were townie clubs like Chasers and proper clubs like Ministry of Sound, Cream, Hacienda etc. Chasers is a painfully accurate depiction of a work night out in the 00s, still in your office clothes.
So true. The 90’s was the best decade. Two completely different nights out. 😂😂.
You will probably here it said hundreds of times but the final episode (part 2 of the 2 part Christmas special) is arguably one of the finest moments in British TV.
It was until the movie which undid the perfect ending
@@rm6652 the movie wasn’t on TV
@@Myviewoftheworldful wasn't arguing my friend. Was just gutted that the open ended hope for him got ruined.
@@rm6652 your open legged mum got ruined too
So funny... The UK office is an acquired taste - you acquire it gradually during the series, but at first it's just jaw-dropping. Once you've got it, it's hilarious.
I actually think it's funny (speaking of the Andrew Tate and such business) how David attaches himself to native American wisdom (not to spoil anything) and philosophers and stuff.. he has really noble ideals. He just doesn't know how to apply them. :)
Just a few points:
Donna is a friend of David's daughter who is staying with David whilst her parents are away, so it isn't the fact that she was late, it was the fact that she stayed out all night.
Maybe it is different in the US but Gen X brought back vinyl in the UK.
Spencer, you really shouldn't slam off Gen Z, you are one if them
Oh, the irony of teaching health and safety with nicotine and rage
Spencer: laughs at 'gen z' without realising he is one; offended by (and cringes at) everything 😂
Really? Wow, I thought he was way older.
he looks genuinely upset at some of the jokes sometimes 😂
Exactly. Hope he doesn't read this.. 🤣
He won’t understand anyways, everything goes over his head
@@jamesbowman777 very true 😆
Those health and safety induction training sessions are virtually mandatory .
And just as ridiculous
On my first day, I was taught how to lift an empty box correctly.
The next day I was delivering, on my own heavy equipment with just a sack truck.
Some of the goods weighed up to 135KG (around 300lb).
Gareth asking the girls if they like curry 😂
Sometime need, supercedes necessity has just become my new life motto.
I might get it tattooed somewhere.
Speaking as a Brit, the US Office is actually a really good export to US comedy.
There have been a number of British comedies that have been reimagined for US television, and most don't translate too well.
Red Dwarf is a good example (a must watch you guys!)
The US Office is a notable exception.
All you need to do is change the tone, style, characters, storyline and jokes and then it translates really well
They have the sidecar on the motorbike because this ain't their first rodeo...
Millennials no way brought back vinyl. It never went away. In the UK the club scene kept it going.
many stopped buying it and switched to cds..then regretted it as they had to buy the their favourite albums again and again as they scratch easier, get borrowed easier..get nicked often at parties
WHEN WILL YOU GUYS GET IT? BRENT ISN'T A DOUCHEBAG. THE DOCUMENTARY STITCHED HIM UP. HE WAS ACTUALLY VERY FUNNY, POPULAR AND COMPETENT. THEY EDITED THE WHOLE THING TO MAKE HIM LOOK BAD.
😂😂😂😂
After watching The Office UK, it took me a long while before I could watch The Office US. I've started a few times, but gave up untill last year. I finally managed to see it from a different point of view and then I could take it in and understood why this version was so good in it's own way. As you both are from the US, you probably will feel that version better from the start, as long as you remember to let go what you've seen here. I can now say with ease: the American version is most certainly worth it's hype. But first finish the British version.
Spencer so looking forward to hearing about your trip to England. I'm sure the weather will be crap, but your about to have yhe best time of your life.
"Any fluids" 😂
Just a note about the US office. The first season people compared too much to the UK series and after that people accepted that it was its own thing.
I always skip the first episode as it's a word for word remake
@@CinobiteReacts Yeah the remakes suffer somewhat. Things like "I'm your biggest flan" in place of a better pun "triffling matter" because of the difference in cultural references. It was much better when it just embraced goofy original ideas and let the characters develop.
I've never met anyone who has ever been to Therapy or seen a physiatrist/ sociologist
Spencer referring to women as "night material" 🤣🤣❤
Oh, they missed the gag line at 11:50 when Tim said "Oh, I just stayed in and had a big w**k!"...I was waiting for the huge laugh...nothing. You missed that one Spencer and Daniel 😅
They totally miss all the humour
Have you not considered that that might be their nightly regime? Therefore not see it as a joke?
Mental health care is mainly free in the UK.
If you can get it. I've been trying for years.
Yes, but pharmaceutical companies make a fortune from it.
@@DavidZ4-gg3dm They certainly plug the gaps in my life.
@@DavidZ4-gg3dm How? Therapy usually involves no pharmaceuticals.
@@vomgrady Depends on the local health authorities. It's quick here in Salford...NHS too. . And free.
I really hope you do the us office. You shouldn’t limit yourself to just our stuff. You’ve got some of the best tv out there.
Nightclubs are often the only place to go to in smaller towns. I prefer that to just sitting in a mostly silent bar trying to find things to talk about... that takes even more social skills that I don't have.
Health & Safety Classes are Mandatory for Insurance purposes, the company Insurers make them compulsory.
& they’re not really for the safety of the employee but to protect the company from having to pay compensation if you get injured during work (“You’ve had safety training so it’s your own fault”)
Forgotten about Blackadder 1
American Office starts off okay but it's spread too thin in the end over 100 episodes but worth taking in now and then.
I have a degree in psychology , dont do it!!!
What if it's a degree in reverse psychology? 🤔
@@RoarMcRipHelmet lol if you know you know
Gareth rules.
The guy Brent ignored in the interview used to be his old Karl his name is robin check out the old stuff
Just in case you actually read the comments: With your U.K. trip drawing closer, just to advise that British Summertime has yet to start!
Pack wisely! It’s 5:22 p.m. I’ve enjoyed a cloudy day, a high of 64F and now it’s raining, again!
Naturally, I’m hopeful that you will enjoy really good weather while you are here! 🙏🏻
Have you reacted to Extras with Ricky gervais, it’s so funny
Desperate David is not nasty
You gotta go into the US Office...it's different
... but really good!
I'm the same I hate night clubs. Would rather go to a bar or a gig 👍
bloody repeats
not for me i'd never seen it
Glad you picked up on one of the funniest clips of all time... Gareth 's face FFS
Guys, you don't need to over annalise. we get it. We've seen the repeats, we've got the tee shirt, and we subscribers aren't muppets more. Show less pontificating.
Agreed.
22:40 Never. It’s not really my scene
no sleep pills needed 🥱💤👎
gareths eyes at the end get me every time,,,,
The pub quiz guy has the same name as the Minnesota Timberwolves head coach.
US Office is brilliant, love the character Pam (Jenna Fisher) and relationship with Jim (John Krasinski). 😊
2001
It’s a brave ie to put this in a tv drama this would always be an uncomfortable situation it does make you think though thank guys ❤
I like your show but you spend too much time generalising about life and your own experiences.
.Agreed, to much pontificating, its bad enough with the jumping editing all over the shop plus the for copyright reason sprawled all over the screen, I assume these guys know this isn't real & not to be taken too literally, I remembered back in the day saying cringe comedy that will give you a belly laugh..
I agree 👍 I don't think these guys know its cringe comedy meant to give you belly laughs not tobe take seriously or literally.
Do you guys actually listen? It's not his neice
There's Robin with his little thumbs.
That Karl said he didn’t like to his face?
It's painful watching Americans trying to get humour😆
Never pork the payroll.
