You are right this attar became tradition in some families. In our family it's same case. So many memories are seized by Jannat ul Firdous. This was the first attar I had experienced, used at the age of 4 when I was in K.G thanks to my late.Grand father he is the man behind introduction to this attar to me, as I belong to a Muslim family and most of our family members are migrated in saudi, UAE, Oman in my family and I was in Kuwait for 4 long years and whenever my family member use to visit from jeddah (saudia) they use to bring 10-12 packs of Jannat ul Firdous and distribute to neighbouring. You may have question in your mind that how it became a tradition. because whenever any of my family member died, most of the time minimum 10 packs of Jannat ul Firdous was mostly used upon Kafan ( white cloth pies used to cover dead body in Islam tradition) as our prophet Muhammad said- put perfume on dead bodies Kafan as he/she is going to enter here after world (the new world we can't imagine of). Now a days I stopped using this perfume/attar because it irritates my nose reason being my nose is too sensitive and another reason being now I'm more use to sweet smelling attars, oud based (it to irritates but I use one drop which is enough for one whole day and another reason, oud based attar are not cheap which I currently have is of ₹13000 per 28ml from Arabian oud), Jacques Bogart's Arabian knight, axe signature gold oud wood and dark vanilla (my daily perfume)... Still I miss those days and I miss my grandpa too

So true,I have already been through Oudh,Ruh Khus,Muskh,Shamama,Super Malik Shamama, INDO Oudh, AHUD,and many more and then I tried Jannat ul Firdous ,but my senses were so much mature for a perfume like that I don't dislike the perfume but my days with this kind of perfume were gone

I had tried Swiss Arabian JuF back in 2017 which I enjoyed a lot. However, I recently bought a 2018 batch of JuF and it smells disgusting. It smells exactly like the generic Cinthol soap (green one) with very poor longevity. Not sure if the one I got was fake or if Swiss Arabian has degraded its JuF that much.
In 1982 my friend wear this ittar brought from Dubai.but not this brand.i remember it's smell well till today.we were walking on railway platform and most of people were recognized the fine,alluring, intense smell.

Nemat Jannat Ul Firdaus, specially in Shahi series is far better than Jannat Ul Firdaus Swiss Arabian as described by you, because i find the Swiss Arabian version too synthetic..Nemat JUF is gentler...available online @₹350..for Shahi series, the best Nemat JUF. Worth a review.
