Its eating up the pillion space a bit... it should have been installed around 2 inches more backwards. It will be more better if split seat addition is done which is slightly bigger in size and then the back rest could be added.

Thanks for showing concern for safety of pillion rider. So far not done by any manufacturer. Which is necessary if sudden brake applied if this not provided pillion rider will be thrown out.

I've installed something similar and removed it after two days. Pillion seat already has less space and this pillion rest makes it more less and pillion will come upon on the rider. Best way is to extend the pillion seat first and install the back rest, I wish someone could make a lengthy seat for Honda highness soon.
