I forgot how fucking sick this album is from front to back. Sepultura is vastly underrated in the thrash era. And then in their next album, just as thrash is ending and most of those bands are transitioning to more commercial rock, they fully embrace their Brazilian roots and paved the way for the next generation of metal.
I dont think Sepultura is underrated. I mean, compared to The Big 4, yeah Sepultura is not as popular as them, but they still pretty popular as "the thrash metal from Brazil". I would say they are in the same level as other legendary bands like Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Overkill, Kreator, Destruction and others.
As much as I love early sepultura,as I was a teen when this came out, arise is a absolutely underrated thrash/death metal masterpiece, and my absolute favorite by them. This era was the hay day of metal, and I’m glad I experienced it first hand, finding new music through tape trading and magazines.
Sou de Belo Horizonte (Cidade do Sepultura) e já assisti vários raect vídeos sobre a banda. Esse realmente é ótimo! 👏👏👏👏 Faltou legendas em português Pt-BR
During the time this album was released they would practice together 5 days out of every week. They were arguably the tightest band you could see live. And they would play everything, including this song, faster than what was on the album if you can imagine. Take any live footage of Sepultura from the early to mid-90's and it'll knock your socks off. \,,/
I saw them live, it was every bit as wild as you'd imagine it! My friend got kicked out of the venue 2 songs into the show (like after 10 mins) for stage diving
One of the bands that got me into metal back in the day(punk teen in the early 90's) and their album Chaos AD was the one i had on cassette back then and holy fuck did that blow my young mind!, Sepultura-Desperate Cry is my favourite tune of all time and it was off this album Arise, Sepultura is the next level of metal but that tune is beyond words in my opinion. Cheers \m/
A 17 anos atrás, assisti a um show do Sepultura aqui em Jaú - SP, Brasil, a banda já não tinha os irmãos Cavalera, ainda assim, foi show inesquecível, foi durante uma turnê mundial, nunca mais vou esquecer.
This is sure fast, aggressive and brutal song, but the message in the lyrics are mostly political messages against war and violence. These are 90´s protest songs and now 30 years later same things and problems appears many countries. Human wrights haven´t get much better but these guys wanted to do something about it and not just sit on their asses.
If you thought Sepultura was extream. Check out a band dedicated to the serial killer theme. Macabre. There's many classics to choose from. But one of my favorites is Dog guts. From the Dahmer album. Enjoy \,,/
'Beneath the Remains' is just as amazing as this (Mass Hypnosis is probably their first "hit"... although for my money "Stronger than Hate" is the best)... they just got more and more polished as time went on (Schizophrenia has some great tracks as well). then the tribal infusion came in on Chaos AD and Roots... all worth checking out, and of course Soulfly.... "Primitive" "Back Da Fuckup" ""Blood"... they always had a great penchant for the "mosh parts"... so did Anthrax but in a totally different way/sound
Would so appreciate if you guys will check out- MACHINE HEAD- "Dividian"; MINISTRY-"jesus Built Me A Hotrod" and "N.W.O."; PANTERA-"Domination"; HATEBREED"Perserverance" Thanx😎
I love the Cavalera Sepultura. The Derrick Greene Andreas Kisser not so much. I think DG & AK should've changed the band's name when the Cavalera's bounced.
Iggor was in the band for 10 years after max left and by 2007 Andreas and Paulo had put in 20 and 23 years into being active members thats why i hate the change the name argument.
As a drummer. This is exactly what everybody wishes they could do behind a kit the 1st time they sit down.

Great

That riff at 5:30 is the nastiest shit i have ever heard. God damn.
Underestimated Sepultura?
what world do you live in? in the 90s Sepultura and Pantera practically kept metal while grunge dominated everything
Underrated? Wtf..
Man, this album is a masterpiece. Desperate Cry, Dead Embrionic Cells..
An all time favorite for me
O ya 🤘🏻
dead embrionic cells ...is sick

My fav sepultura album
So thrash 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I see the world... Old.
I see the world ...Dead.
One of the best reactions I saw of Sepultura.
I laughed from the beginning to end 😆👌
Do more old Sepultura reactions 🙌
Sou de Belo Horizonte (Cidade do Sepultura) e já assisti vários raect vídeos sobre a banda. Esse realmente é ótimo! 👏👏👏👏
Faltou legendas em português Pt-BR
We need more Sepultura! 👏🤘🤘
Легендарная команда
Lmao if you guys get a chance, youtube arise pinkpop, its a live performance of this tune and its even faster, it's the craziest thing I've ever seen.

Back in the day I've broken lots of things in my parents house unintentionally by listening to this album...Good old days.!!
This is my number one, top of the heap, Thrash Metal album of all time!!!

SEPULTURA FROM BRAZIL!
BRUTAL!!!!
Igor hits a China cymbal
This track changed my perception on what Metal is.... Holy shit! That was it then, grew my hair, beard, tatts done, never looked back. 🤘❤️🤘
You should react to any Sepultura Live in Barcelona 1991,awesome performance ✌️
I love your Faith No More t-shirt, bro!
I remember being introduced to this album around age 12, yea It didn’t take long before stuff started to break around the room lol.
Even committed air drumming along with Igor will tire you out.
This reaction was unexpected .... dang!!!
Musical intensity aside, Nick's ferocious glee and Ty's hilarious facial expressions, (plus syncopated shoulder moves), were the highlights for me. 😂
a later sepultura song when the original line up had gone is called "Nuclear 7" the album is Dante XIII (13)
Territory is a must :D
Obliteration of mankind
Under a pale grey sky
We shall arise
Sepultura from brasil! thx guys!
I saw them live, it was every bit as wild as you'd imagine it! My friend got kicked out of the venue 2 songs into the show (like after 10 mins) for stage diving
Old school at its best enjoy
Dead Embryonic Cells and Desperate Cry being other singles.
It's legend.
we thought that Igor, (the drummer) didn't have legs but some kid of robotic legs. you could headbang to this it hurts, and the mosh was insane.
Sepultura at 1996 was the biggest band on metal scene, i dont mean ever, but at that time. crowd was insine, thousands
Dead embryonic cells is a MUST listen. It has everything
React to Dead embryonic cells. Their best song ever
During the Max Cavalera era.....all their songs were their best
I believe the whole album is their best, Dead embryonic cells was the promo video but the whole album is a jewel
@@Lizard-of-Oz I couldn't agree more! This Album is all the way up there with the very best.
@@VelhaGuardaTricolor Thank you! To me the best of the early '90s Thrash along with Megadeth's Rust in Peace
My fav is still Troops Of Doom
My favorite album by them
my guy in the middles voice is metal as fuk
Arise...top of my list..the best ever thrash metal album...

3 Minutes of brutal drums and riffs. Trash Metal at his best. Your reaction is funny, i couldn't stop laughing
5:06 o que eles usam na bateria e um cidadão brasileiro chamado IGOR CAVALLERA
They are a drummer band I saw them live great show
Inner self to be next Barcelona 1991
Chaos AD and Root are my favorite albuns.
yaeh sepultura is awesome
I am brazilian fan of the Sepultura! Please react to the new drummer of Sepultura - ELOY CASAGRANDE - DESPERATE CRY LIVE
The guy in the middle sounds like John McEnroe. Proper metal, this.
good band Sepultura
MY FAVORITE SONGS ARE, ''INNER SELF'', ''SARCASTIC EXISTANCE'',''SEPTIC SHIZO'', ''TO THE WALL'', ''REST IN PAIN'', ''SUBTRACTION'', ''ARISE'',''SLAVES OF PAIN'', ''PRIMITIVE FUTURE''...
Orgasmatron is the creature
One of the bands that got me into metal back in the day(punk teen in the early 90's) and their album Chaos AD was the one i had on cassette back then and holy fuck did that blow my young mind!, Sepultura-Desperate Cry is my favourite tune of all time and it was off this album Arise, Sepultura is the next level of metal but that tune is beyond words in my opinion. I heard troops of doom in a nightclub who's bragging rights were 50,000 watts music power, I stood on the dance floor my ribcage was vibrating.. 🤣
@@blackcountryme Yeah man they were insane live, Wish the originals were still together.
@@horrorshow3000 I dunno, max left after recording Kiowas I think. from the chaos A.D. album. and the newer line up is still great.
A 17 anos atrás, assisti a um show do Sepultura aqui em Jaú - SP, Brasil, a banda já não tinha os irmãos Cavalera, ainda assim, foi show inesquecível, foi durante uma turnê mundial, nunca mais vou esquecer.
more sepultura

they made that epic music at 20 years old
King for a day... is Faith No More's best record.
THis is my favorite Sepultura album. Fuck yeah. \,,/
The album cover is one of the alien monsters from the Cthulu mythos created by the horror author HP Lovercraft
No, that's my beach house.
"Yeah, what the fuck is that?" Lol
Just listen to "Dead Embryonic Cells" - live in Barcelona is the best one. Just do it. By the way I'm from their home town Belo Horizonte in Brazil
A quite underrated track... and group, for that matter!
Esos es el metal
If you thought Sepultura was extream. Check out a band dedicated to the serial killer theme.
Macabre. There's many classics to choose from. But one of my favorites is Dog guts. From the Dahmer album.
Enjoy \,,/
Black Sabbath began influencing the future bands
Everytime i see the blue shirt guy laugh i also laugh a lot hahahah
Ohh and any Machinehead!! Can you tell I’m from the Bay Area 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻

Los 90' the lats real
I discovered this album after the newer stuff with Max.
Couldn’t believe how thrash it was , so insane 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Without Max is crap
Lol, crazy review 😂🤘🏽
To be more accurate, Sepultura is Portuguese for "grave".
sepultura - convicted in life
Okay, gave it a try... Ty's faces were great. Nick was so into it - you were gone from the first note. Fun to watch you guys!
3:10 😂
Sepultura perfected thrash metal. The original four were like pop thrash metal.
Very nice
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘
Impossible to stay put with this song. It's as heavy as heavy can get.
From Rio de Janeiro, Brasil
Eso es metal baterias a mil porchora
You have to react to Blind Guardian - The Bard's song/Valhalla (live version from Wacken). One of the best crowd participation.
"Like Slayer, except the solo is better" lmao
i was listening tom this at age 12 where you been..born 77
Orgasmatron is the cover
Dude sounds like my gym teacher....who went on to coach our freshman football team to an 0-10 record
Isolation - Sepultura
Nice react! If possible reacts a Desperate Cry song from Arise stuff. Congrats from Brazil 🇧🇷🤟
Best song on the album IMO. Very diverse, really shows what Sepultura is capable of!
Death Metal, Grindcore, Symphonic, Atmospheric, Hardcore....

React to "Sepultura - Isolation". It has an INSANE drums!
