Geeta and Mahabharata existence for hundreds of years are recorded in history books and our monuments. Even at that time there was no development in the world. Even if you think it's a fictional they are talking about planes nuclears plastic surgery and read about the palace of pandavas the route cause of how this conflict begun. Westerners got ideas and invented so many things but we couldn't. Our science was destroyed by Muslims first then Britishers. We have an ancient holy book named viman shashtra it's about plane making. Even graphs are given. There was lot of progress even they say nuclear was used in this war. Mahabharata war means biggest war fought between many countries from both sides. Even it was telecasted. Sanjay telecasted the whole story of war sitting behind the blind king dhritrastra.

      @RovingPunster 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Zeeshan: Forgive me, but that is a rather unfair and ethnocentric oversimplification to dismiss an entire nation/people as incapable of grasping something ... I wouldnt make that assumption about the people of India nor should you make the same assumption about all Westerners.
To blindly look down on entire groups of people, either by nation or caste, is wrong ... didnt Vishnu himself illustrate the point when (from memory) he answered the tapasya of a highly learned sage (Rishi Uttang) by sending Indra in the guise of a Chandal (untouchable) to offer him water (which was actually nectar of immortality). The guru spurned the faux untouchable's polite and respectful offers of water with bigotry and contempt, even though he was suffering greatly of thirst ... and he only realized the truth and sincerely repented when the Chandal (Indra) magically vanished before his eyes and he realized he'd failed Vishnu's test.
      Refusal:

      Repentance:
      th-cam.com/video/mPbdZUPXz_w/w-d-xo.html
Regardless, by your own words you believe these are historical rather than literary works, and thus Vishnu himself contradicts you, Sir.
      - A Westerner
Oh, and the notion that India somehow has a monopoly on spirituality is unkind nonsense as well. Such an assertion embodies the very lack of understanding that you condemned westerners of earlier. I think some tapasya/penance is in order.

@tuhin bhattacharjee It's late at night here, so I will try to read and reply at greater length as time permits tomorrow, but one thing I'd like to say up front is that you seem to have misconstrued the intent of my prior post. It was NOT my intent to mock or belittle anyone or any group or faith, nor did I espouse an agenda of any kind (aside from tolerance and understanding). If you reread my post you'll (I hope) see I was simply rebutting, at length, a sweeping and unfair condemnation of all westerners. My invocation of tapasya was just a gentle tease that seemed both appropriate and restrained to me, given the tone of the post I'd replied to.

      Sridhar Kaushik
It is a way of life. Sanathana Dharma is a loose set of rules, which one applies(not follow) in your actions.
Most relegions have one God, mankind has killed many by arguing my god is better than yours. In Sanathana Dharma (loosely called Hinduism) there are more than 33 crore god's.(1 crore is 1 followed by 7 zeros) A true Hindu does not believe, he is a seeker, what does he seek? Not heaven, but moksha. What is moksha? Freedom from Karmic cycle of rebirth. Why karmic cycle? Your every action has a reaction, based on your action you get karmic reward points both positive and negative. For simplicity let us day credit and debit. If your debits are more, you come back as a life form, get your points, die, and come back.
Even same action can get you a negative or positive point. Depending on the motive of action. Suppose you kill, if you killed to rob -
If to save another from being killed +.
I can go on and on. Typing on mobile is no fun.
      Will try answering specific questions

Dear, ur undrstanding of identity problm is correct specially th Hindu n Indian one becoz its constantly on attack fr centuris .. th basic prblm is Hindu religion is too deep to fathom .. th core diff between Hindu n othr religions is other emphasise on praying one single god n Hindus hv virtully thousands of gods .. other religions tell to obey n follow whats in their religious book Hindus hav thousands of religious books, interpretations etc. .. Hindu religion teaches to ask questions, to seek truth if not truth then enhance knowledge .. nevr believe just whats told .. this is th distinction !! In th process of seeking it also believes that others following different way of prayer shall also continue their pursuit n shall not b forced to follow my way of or my practice of prayer .. n this makes Hindus a very distinct n singular religion !! In th past whatever conversions had been by Hindus were all voluntary n not by any force, coercion, bribe or violence !! Not using a single weapon almost all asian countries became Buddhists which are a part of Hinduism !!

True Dharma doesn't have a name. Dharma is within ever life on this universe, it's the inner nature of every life. Look at the sun, moon, planets, stars etc everything they all knows their own dharma. Observe the life of other creatures they all knew their own Dharma. Then ask yourself do u really knew ur Dharma as a human or as a life?
    If you're strong
Don't put a name to your Dharma.
If u put a name, you will just limit yourself.
    Explore the TRUTH.
TRUTH it's infinitely deep, That's where the life about keeps falling deeper.
And know that TRUTH IS ANOTHER NAME OF THE GOD.

See the complete video Professor, all leads that Krishna was the biggest warrior in Mahabharata.
Had he fought in the war, it was a matter of seconds. But without wielding a weapon too, he led the weaker army of Pandavas to victory.
FUN FACT: Karna was the son of Sun God, and Arjuna was the son of Indra God.
Both has same mother, but they came to know this much later ( Karna before the war, and Arjuna and other pandavas after Karna's death).
In fact Karna was elder brother of Pandavas, which their mother hid from them till he was dead. After revealing this to Yuddhisthir after Karna's death, their mother Kunti and all the women were cursed by Yuddhisthir (in grief of their elder brother being killed by them), that no woman will ever be able to keep a secret that day onward.
Karna was born with divine armor(which could not be breached), and divine earring(which provided him immunity from wounds) as a part of his body.
Lord Indra in order to save Arjuna tricked him into giving away these 2 as donation.

The Mahabharata is an ancient Indian epic where the main story revolves around two branches of a family - the Pandavas and Kauravas - who, in the Kurukshetra War, battle for the throne of Hastinapura. Interwoven into this narrative are several smaller stories about people dead or living, and philosophical discourses.Aug 25, 2016

We can be who we are and there will be, as we say in INDIA "Unity In Diversity". On the other hand every attempt to bring homogeneity in the world has failed miserably. If you follow a righteous way of life, you are already a hindu as hindu culture never insists to follow a particular faith and focuses on seeking moksha (liberation) and truth. It is an inclusive way of life and hence is so diverse. Mahabharat is always a debate between dharma and adharma....every characterization, incident, story, narrative constantly keeps debating in search of a truthful direction for life.

    • Barbarik's head was not cut off from his body for real. Instead his whole body was perhaps tied down in chains and only his head was free to move. Thats why the story says only the head was functional.
    • In Barbarik's quiver there were three kinds of missiles(the story says arrows, but there is ample proof that gunpowder was a long known technology in Asia. The technology of canons was not there, but use of gunpowder in small rocket/missile was there).
These missiles of Barbarik affected the enemies like today's self guided missiles do. But there is a slight difference. By today's technology, just a single missile can accomplish the whole job of target identification to target destruction. While in Mahabharat times, Barbarik required 3 separate missiles to accomplish the same job. The 3 missiles were functional in the following way :
1.The first missile flew past the targeted area and identified and marked the enemy units.
2.The second missile again flew past the targeted area, tagging all the friendly/neutral entities in that area.
    3. The third missile then goes in and destroys only the enemies avoiding friendly units.
    4. When you have 3 missiles available to do the task, you need neither radar nor infrared sensors to do the selective mass killing. You can just spray poison using first missile. You spray antidote through the second missile. Then you spray the bio-catalyst to activate the poison via the third missile. Timing is key while using the missiles. During a live battle the whole battle field gets mixed up with friends and foes. But certain areas may have more concentration of enemies, while certain areas within the field have more concentration of friends. The key is to target the first missile on areas having high enemy concentration, and targeting the second missile on areas having high friendly unit concentration.
So once the first two missiles have been correctly timed, and third one goes in with the bio-catalyst and kills more number of enemies and very few friends.
    5. So Barbarik's arrows affected like a guided missile, but in actuality its internal functioning was more like a Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy employs the same principle Barbarik used in Mahabharat. But again Chemotherapy is more precise - it hunts down microscopic cancer cells, while Barbarik just killed visible human beings. But his technique was no doubt very effective in taking out mass number of enemies.
    6. At the very start of the battle when armies were separated Barbarik could spray poison on enemies using first missile. He could spray antidote on Pandavas using second missile. And then he would spray bio-catalyst on everybody using third missile. Thus killing all Kauravas. But there is catch. Barbarik promised to fight from weaker side. So he would not join Pandava side at all. Instead he would join Kaurava side, who were weaker. Kaurava were weaker because Krishna was with Pandavas. So yeah , Barbarik was going to ultimately help Kauravas - so Krishna had to keep him away from fight.
    • Coming to the story of Karna, he had a celestial armour made up of Amreeth, gifted to him by his father, the Sun God.
The armour could not be pierced by any weapon. So yes, even the strongest of warriors like Barbarik or Arjun could not kill Karna as long as the armour stayed on Karna's body. It is also said in Mahabharat that the armour wasn't totally invincible. There were a few, very very strong weapons like Brahmastra(comparable to today's nukes) which could totally break the armour. But use of Brahmastra was banned in battles and the worst part is most warriors didnt even know how to use Brahmastra. So yeah, using anything lesser than Brahmastra it was impossible to pierce Karna's armour.
Over and above this Karna had a bow named Vijay, which used to send back a blast-wave when its string was drawn and then released. The Vijay bow was very huge, and its string very strong - so releasing the string created the air blast which blew away or diverted most of the arrows fired by enemies at Karna. The bow was so huge that, Karna couldn't carry it on his shoulder - he had to make it stand on ground and shoot arrows through it. When Karna's chariot got stuck in mud, he had to discard his Vijay bow in his chariot seat, and get down to free the wheel. This is when Arjuna stuck a fatal arrow through Karna's neck and killed him. As long as Vijay bow was with Karna, none of the arrows fired by enemies were able to reach him.

I have to disagree with sadguru ji in this argument. Karna was never a match to Arjun any day. Karna lost to Arjun a couple of times before the Mahabharata war. Firstly, during gosha yatra.... where karna ran from battle field leaving kauravas to gandharvas. Arjun had to come and rescue kauravas on the order of dharma raj. Secondly, during virat war just before Mahabharata war..... Arjun defeats entire kuarava army including karna single handedly.
Even during Mahabharata war, one particular day.... karna was defeated by bhima. But, bhima didn’t kill unconscious karna as it’s not right.
Lord Krishna praised karna only to crush Arjun’s ego.
Arjun was the sarva sresta dhanurshari...... the best among the best archers.
Even lord siva was impressed by Arjun’s skills.
Arjun was savyasaachi ( able to shoot arrows by both the hands with equally skilled). Arjun can also shoot arrows in dark.

Anuraag Deka no brother, I read Mahabharata many times. Don’t believe in movies and serials versions. They are all bull shit. Karna killed abhimanyu with other 6 warriors together. While Arjun killed karna’s son infront of karna and everyone. Karna couldn’t stop him. Karna couldn’t save saindhava too. Karna was another evil man with great powers. That’s it. Mahabharata is such a vast subject that no tv serial can show completely. Please go read vyas Mahabharata original translation.

This is a VERY specific statement made by Lord Krishna. Krishna said specifically in ARCHERY Karna has the capability to beat Krishna in ONLY ARCHERY battle. He said this to Arjuna coz the context was Arjuna thought he is the greatest Archer in the world. As a warrior Krishna is GOD who can't be beaten by Karna or 100 Karna or N no of Karnas, a warrior has many skills not just one. Krishna has the wheel of Justice Sudarshan Chakra with him. So the last part was not wrong, it is absolutely right but the context is very very specific.

Chetan Medsinghe there's no concept of heaven in Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma) across the 4 Vedas and their summary known as Bhagvat Gita. Sadhguru also mentions the same though he has never read Gita. If one already has self realization then no need to read Gita, you already know what it says. There's only a concept of last birth, when you achieve self-realization after that you merge back to the Paramaatma. I believe this is the last birth of Sadhguru. I thought you would know all this since you're a Hindu too right? Or was your comment a sarcastic one?

    • @MrSamf99

Only Karna could with his full might. Because. It was only Karna who moved the chariot of Krishna which had the mass of whole universe. But it's also true as Krishna was the devotional reincarnation of Lord Vishnu hence, he already knew who he is n how to defeat anyone in Mahabharata, but if you compare the full might then Krishna himself given Karna the rank of ati-maharathi n excluded himself.

Sadguru has 2 major karma, one that he an Tamilian and second that he is Shiviate Hindu, Shiviate Hindu have a tendency in trying to show Krishna in lesser light or show him as a mortal.
Krishna like Shiva is a Descendent being meaning that Source (God) took Human form, most other like Buddha and other enlighten being are Ascendents, meaning Human experienced source(God) in Human form.

After the Mahābhārata battle, Barbarika's last wish was to see the war "Mahabharat" so Lord krishna himself placed his head on the top of a mountain for Barbarika to see the war. After many years when Kalyug started the head was found buried in the village of khatu (District- सीकर sikar in present-day राजस्थान rajasthanThe location was obscured until well after the Kaliyuga period began

    • @wolfdenranjeet
      @wolfdenranjeet 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Then, on one occasion, milk started flowing spontaneously out of a cow's udder when she neared the burial spot. Amazed at this incident, the local villagers dug the place up and the buried head was revealed. The head was handed over to a Brahmin who worshipped it for many days, awaiting divine revelations as to what was to be done next. Roopsingh Chauhan, king of Khatu, then had a dream where he was inspired to build a temple and install the head therein. Subsequently, a temple was built and the idol was installed on the 11th day of the Shukla Paksha (bright half) of the month of Phagun.

I regard his explanations above sadguru's .So please watch and react to Srila Prabhupada's videos or Hare Krishna's videos or Krishna consciousness videos.
You can search for ISKON's videos. They are better according to me.

If you really want to know about the what the ancient ppl of India or texts like vedas and upnishads say about God and all living conciousness then you can listen to Kripalu Maharaj's discourses of you know Hindi.
