Do you sharpen the cutting edge at all or is it good out of the package or inherited tool box?
You should check you cutting edge regularly, then when it gets beat up, use a bench grinder to dress it. Grind the two faces of the cutting edge so that they form a 60 degree angle.

This reminds me of Pakistani truck removing a huge rivets on truck chassis using sledge hammer and chissel
