Very very nice job on this very large piece of furniture. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think when others did their challenge, some said they used supplies they already had, so did not count that as an expense via their on hand supplies. Somebody correct me if I heard wrong. You on the other hand, counted what you had on had in estimating some of your expenses. Now, if I read it right, I'd say you were painfully more exact in your cost than some. Did I say well done? LOL

Not saying it's wrong, just pointing out what I gathered by watching other 100 $ challenge project videos. You might want to speak with the originator of this test to see if there is any set rule re the spending done on doing this neat challenge. I have found it very very interesting to see what folks come up with.
One of my favorites. Too bad we couldn't really see what you started out with, it looks like it was in 2 pieces? Can't tell how you restyled it, but results are great. Since you didn't seal all that stain and knots, it will probably bleed thru, but that will only make it better. So down the road, I would love to actually see the ghost of the wood show through.

I thought she used the Dixie Belle Boss which is a sealer.
