- Santa Catalina Island is a rocky island off the coast of Southern California in the Gulf of Santa Catalina. The island is 22 mi (35 km) long and 8 mi (13 km) across at its greatest width. The island is located about 29 mi (47 km) south-southwest of Long Beach, California. The highest point on the island is Mount Orizaba (2,097 ft or 639 m). Geologically, Santa Catalina is part of the Channel Islands of California archipelago and is the easternmost of the Channel Islands. Politically, Catalina Island is part of Los Angeles County in District 4. Most of the land on the island is unincorporated and is thus governed by the county.
Its total population in the 2010 census was 4,096 people, 90 percent of whom live in the island's only incorporated city, Avalon. The second center of population is the unincorporated village of Two Harbors at the island's isthmus. Development also occurs at the smaller settlements of Rancho Escondido and Middle Ranch. The remaining population is scattered over the island between the two population centers.

I would love to do a tour. I don't see that one on Carnival's website, I guess they don't offer it, or haven't put it on there. My cruise is in June. Thank you so much for this video, it was very informative.
They actually have a booth in Catalina where you can book different excursions that they don’t offer on the cruise ship and the excursions there are cheaper than they are through the cruise ship. Thank you for watching and have a great cruise in June 😊
I loved the Radiance and we rented the go cart/golf cart😂 but definitely will go back and do the city tour and the submarine. I missed a lot . Just give me more reasons to take another cruise on the Radiance. Definitely need to find that ice cream shop too❤

Yes I think you’ve mentioned that it’s a casino, but it’s not active, me an my wife an kids hav a reservation for December 1st, we’ve been on a few cruises but not to Mexico, we’ve very much excited but we were watching to see if Catalina or Ensenada has a any good local beaches but as far as I see on your videos it’s mainly shopping an eating which I don’t mind, I’m jus try to see now what activities you can do on the ship on your sees days

Shug & I love the water but unfortunately the beaches in Ensenada and Catalina are not very good and also cold so we always have to find something else to do besides getting in the water. When you get over to the East Coast of Mexico like Cozumel you’ll find the better warmer water. Either way I’m sure you’ll have a great time cruising is cruising, it’s the best way to vacation. Have a great trip 😃

I definitely want to take the same tour! Questions. Me and my husband will have our 1 yr old with us. Will she be $27 also? And do they have a place to leave a stroller?
Hi Mariannalynn, infants under 2 do not require their own ticket but to be honest we’re not sure if they have any locations to leave strollers. Our kids are all grown and moved out so we weren't really looking for that. The next time we go that's something we’ll have to pay attention to. Thank you for the question 😊

hey guys :) what time did you get to the island? i'd be worried about missing departing time
Hi Kyla, I don’t recall what time we got to the island but I think it was around 9 AM. The ship docs out in the ocean and you take a tender to the island I know we had more than five hours of time to be there. There was lots of time. We were able to book an excursion while on the island and after that excursion still had time to walk around and shop. We’ll be on that cruise again next week so we’ll have to pay attention to that. Any beach access
Hi Tasha, there is beach access right there at the cruise port although I can’t guarantee if the water is going to be warm enough to swim in lol. Thank you for watching 😊
Can I use my credit card to pay on ports (Ensenada and Catalina)?
Hi Brian you can use your credit card to pay in ports at most locations but when it comes to venturing out to the different areas like straw markets they will only take cash. Thank you for the question 😊

What is the name bus tour?
If I remember correctly it was something along the lines of Catalina Island city tour by bus and again we didn’t book that through the cruise line we booked it at a booth in Catalina. Thank you for the question 😊
