  • 🎪🎬🌌 The Carnival of the Ages: An AI-Generated Film Unveiling a Cinematic Odyssey Through Time and Space!
    VISUALS:
I used DALL_E + Midjourney generations as style reference / to make my shotlist for the scenes, I then put them into Runway Gen2 with slightly altered text prompts to generate the video clips you see in this video.
SOUND- I used Elevenlabs to train a voice for the narration and ChatGPT to help reduce my idea into a shorter narration.
Im thrilled to share with you a film that I’ve created using cutting-edge AI tools that are revolutionizing the video-making process. Yes, you read that right - AI-generated videos are here, and they’re absolutely mind-blowing!
As a filmmaker with 15+ years of experience, I’ve never been more excited to be part of such a pivotal moment in the industry, where creativity evolves like never before, and we’re given a glimpse into the future possibilities of content creation and simulated realities!
Growing up, The Twilight Zone was a massive inspiration, so I used ElevenLabs to train the AI narration on Westbrook Van Voorhis, who narrated the pilot episode of the series. To create the visuals, I generated reference images using OpenAI #dalle2 and Midjourney, built my shots, and then put them into Runway #runwaygen2 to create the videos.
As we venture into these uncharted territories, it’s crucial that we join forces, explore these tools together, and push the boundaries of what’s possible! I’m excited to announce that. I will be launching an AI film club, bringing together creatives from around the world to foster new talent and develop groundbreaking filmmaking and storytelling.
So, fellow pioneers of the digital frontier, let’s embrace these innovations and embark on a collective journey to redefine creativity and reshape the future of storytelling!

@@macuser7048 I somewhere once read that there was an ML project that looked at our brain waves and kinda roughly map them to what we see while we are awake. And when we go to sleep and reach our REM state (the stage in our sleep cycle where we see dreams) it tries to correlate our brain waves created in the prefrontal cortex of our brain (the part most responsible for vision-related stuff) and tries to guess what we are seeing in the dream.

      Prompt GPT-4:
write a plot for a compelling dramatic scifi movie that takes place in a retrofuturistic setting. The plotline should be standard for a bestselling blockbuster movie.
      Response:
      Title: "Neon Horizon"
In a shimmering retrofuturistic world of the late 21st century, progress and nostalgia merge, creating a backdrop of Art Deco skyscrapers, neon lights, and atomic-age technology. Hovercars navigate through complex lanes in the sky while vintage tunes spill out from vinyl-playing jukeboxes in chrome-plated diners.
Our protagonist, Ava Starling, is a hardboiled private investigator, well-known for her razor-sharp intuition and unyielding moral compass. Ava is deeply cynical of the utopian society around her and yearns for something more authentic than the neon facade of her city. One day, Ava receives a mysterious case from the enigmatic billionaire, Victor Ward, who tasks her with finding his missing daughter, Rose. Rose, a brilliant scientist, disappeared following her research into a groundbreaking but potentially dangerous technology called "Quantum Echo," which claims to manipulate time.
As Ava delves into Rose's disappearance, she stumbles upon a series of anomalies and uncovers the darker side of her neon utopia. Ava discovers that Rose's research was not merely theoretical - the Quantum Echo exists, and Rose had activated it before vanishing. The device has caused ripples in time, creating temporal paradoxes that Ava must navigate.
Navigating a world that is rapidly alternating between past, present, and future states, Ava has to uncover the truth about Rose's disappearance and the implications of her research. She is joined by Leon, a cynical yet principled policeman from a simpler time, accidentally pulled into the future by the Quantum Echo's first activation.
During her journey, Ava experiences the initial promise of her world and the ensuing decay, reinforcing her suspicions about the superficial utopia she inhabits. She discovers that Victor had intended to use the Quantum Echo to monopolize time itself, aiming to correct past mistakes to benefit his present, no matter the cost to the space-time continuum.
As the Quantum Echo begins destabilizing, threatening to erase the city from existence, Ava and Leon must locate Rose and deactivate the device. Along the way, they face Victor's corporate goons, time disoriented citizens, and an increasingly volatile reality.
In a thrilling climax, Ava confronts Victor and manages to reactivate the Quantum Echo one last time, rescuing Rose from a time-stuck limbo and resetting the timeline to before the device's activation. However, Ava pays the ultimate price for stability and gets trapped in the limbo herself. The movie ends with a bittersweet tone, with Leon and Rose promising to find a way to rescue Ava, leaving the possibility of a sequel open.
"Neon Horizon" is a thrilling blend of mystery, drama, and science fiction, offering a unique take on time manipulation, retrofuturistic aesthetics, and the exploration of a protagonist who is a stranger in her own city. The film tackles themes of truth, morality, and the cost of unchecked technological advancement, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats till the very end.

crackpot prediction: ai only follows commands and even then it wont look exactly like you want so id give it 5 years to follow the basic commands properly without looking moldy and janky and another 15 for someone to make editing software to be able to choose camera angles and modify exactly what everything should look like while also using sources as references for the ai but the entertainment industry would probably monopolize for few companies and fire unneccesary human actors which wont be pretty and would cause huge uproar and controversy since all the industry needs then is programmers and artists and writers but then again it would probably take a nasa super computer to be able to render everything correctly so that's another 10 years for most studios pc's to catch up but at the same time smaller studios would have a surplus of human actors now working for less (but still a lot) of money but at the same time more movies are being made and smaller more passionate studios are making more good movies than ever and dont even think about what this will do for animation. thanks for coming to my ted talk now i need a ai to give me a better joke (so by 2053 my manic dumbass will somehow make the first ai film company god help us all at least porn will be better).

I've seen a lot of these AI generated "scapes" recently (can't call them FILMS really). What stands out about this one, is the sense of frenetic movement of all objects and structures - like they could evaporate in a moment - exactly how dreams operate. The almost grotesque, but beautiful visuals. But one thing that ties this together more than anything, and pushes it into the dream realm is the AUDIO. That weird buzzy hum and dispassionate VO is unlike anything I've ever heard, instead of some stock soundtrack, which really detracts from this new emerging media - the soundtrack is as experimental as the visuals - BRAVO! Like other commentators would love to see a fully immersive FEATURE. They'll definitely come to watch this curiosity.

But by then it is too late and you will have gone insane by this point and there is no way back to our planet because your mind is too far gone.
