if it's a one move mate it's not a crazy move, you just blundered lol
@@nextgenfootball69420 That's just a more negative way of framing the same thing though. Like even if it were a two-move mate, or three-move, or forty-five move mate, you could call it a blunder, or you could appreciate your opponent finding a great move or sequence of moves.
@@sashaboydcom lol not really, it's definitely a blunder if you have a chance to prevent mate in 1 but don't prevent it, because it's easy for the opponent to see the one move mate, there's no glory or skill in it, but there's definitely regret for the guy who blundered mate in 1 and that's why it's called a blunder

You should look up Diemer's Immortal Pawns game. He opens with 17 straight pawn moves, creates the most absurd position you've ever seen, and wins beautifully.

Diemer has got to be one of the weirdest characters in Chess history, weirder than even Morphy's death and Fischer's mental descent. Man has connections with Nazi's, got booted out of the Federation, and for some reason started following Nostradamus, already coupled with his very unorthodox chess playing style.

Diemer was expelled from the German chess federation in 1953 for homosexuality and "corruption of innocent youth." Also, he wasn't a Nazi-sympathizer, but a literal Nazi.

I have to say, it's a surprise to watch a Diemer game and find the absolute craziest move was from the other guy. If you out crazy Diemer you must be a real original.

Rock B1 in Guess The Elo is also pretty legendary.
There is also Marshall's Qg3 sacrificing the queen 3 different ways.

I can just recommend to people to look at the engine for that b3 move. It is so strong in the hands of the computer that there literally is no refutation that works (with perfect play). The best thing the computer gives is cxb3, which is Force Mate in 11.

Qe6 takes the pawn , Re6 takes the queen , ne6 takes the rook and it's a royal fork and then the queen is gone
White will be up a Rook , Queen and a pawn for a queen and a knight
