You do such a very neat job on your projects. This was beautifully done. I think the way you staggered your layers is super smart because it also insured you wouldn’t be trying to staple over staples. I use a much larger pressing board for quilting. If you find your fabric isn’t holding up as long as you’d hope, you might find home decor fabric a good option. I have. I so enjoy your channel. Thank you for your calm, peaceful and inspiring videos.

I was browsing the internet tonight pricing portable ironing boards for an upcoming project. I was not finding anything I liked. I told hubs what I was looking for and he said to check You Tube for a DIY. Of course! I found your video and it is precisely what I needed. I will be off to Joann in a couple of days to get the supplies I need. Thank you for the idea!

I saw this in your sewing drawer in one of your craft room videos and was sooo happy to find that you'd made a video tutorial for it! Yay! I've been wanting one of these forever. I was intimidated to make one, but you make it look so easy, and I especially liked your tips to make it go more smoothly. I love that using your instructions, we could make it any size or shape we want. Can't wait to make one for myself!

I have a large table on wheels I made with ikea storage and I created a large ironing board topper for it in a similar way to this. I love it. I use it anytime we need to iron clothes or when I’m sewing, quilting etc.

Curious if I could do two layers of batting vs a layer of insulbrite? Mostly pressing block seams.

Love your video! I was watching some others where the bottom wasn't finished and I kept picturing scratches on my table and snagged fabric when using it inside tshirts for htv.
Is the heat layer necessary? Does this help ensure even heating? Just curious bc I need to make one asap, I'm on a deadline, and don't have any of the heat fabric on hand. Thanks!

Is the point for this to be more sturdy than a Cricut easy press mat? I’ve been thinking about pressing options for smaller sewing projects and was planning to use my easy press mat but it’s a bit flimsy and this wouldn’t be because of the board. Thanks!
