Finally!! I've been saying it for 5 fucking years now, enough with the zombie craze and bring back werewolves.
But there's no werewolf and the movie was shite.
YES! Couldn't agree more. This was a good one. Ginger Snaps is my fave but Snow Hollow was super original, even tho it wasn't "conventional" without giving spoilers

Spoiler alert. Dont read if you have not seen the movie yet. Below are my thoughts on the movie.
This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I was highly disappointed with the ending. I did not like the protagonist. I thought he was just a dick throughout the entire movie and a bit of an over actor. I was expecting this to be a genuine werewolf movie and it was anything but. A real werewolf movie requires a real werewolf and not some wannabe in a costume. I wish someone could have warned me before I actually watched it so I wouldn't have wasted my time.
I give it 1 out of 5 stars and a solid thumbs down 👎

One of the most underrated films. Mr. Cummings ability to showcase character motivation and storyline, just goes to show you: The Audience still wants a good story. Thank you Jim for this one, you made me believe in film again.

It was a horrible movie. Did not like the ending and the protagonist was a prick all throughout the movie and the man playing his roll was an over actor.

I don´t know why movies still do that. It´s not that hard to come up with a scary situation without the victim being such an idiot^^ In this movie I don´t know if it´s maybe ment to be stupid as a joke though.

It's Fargo-esque in its true focus being the individual characters and how their personality quirks and weaknesses affect the horrific events a small rural community is completely unprepared for. Fantastic fresh angle on horror. Went straight into the collection.

Jim Cummings, first saw him in the incredible "Thunder Road" and now he does it again with this film. He plays 'troubled police' really really well and hilariously too. His acting chops are amazing.
My great uncle wrote the song “lil’ red riding hood.” I think he would of loved to have heard this rendition of it.

yes haven't seen a good werewolf flick in over a decade! this movie was so different and instant classic! didn't expect the comedy parts to work so well with serious and dark parts. and yet nothing was cheesy it just great movie and atmosphere! and really unexpected twist. Jim Cummings was awesome in his role I had no idea he is also writer and director too. super talented guy!
Howl from 2015 and Late Phases from 2014 are also pretty solid esp Howl.
Man, I just want everyone to know that Robert Forster was such a cool guy on set and a real professional. It's sad to think that this is his last movie.

Just watched it. Loved it. Can't believe I am saying that but it was really really good with terrific developed characters. Really surprised I liked it. I hate most everything but I am on a roll lately finding things I like.

I have been compiling my list of Top 10 favorite movies. It's been a long, difficult, ongoing process, because I've been having trouble getting more than 5. Today, I saw this movie and it brings me to #6. I FRIGGIN' LOOOVE this movie 💜
This was an exceptional movie! I know next to nothing about Jim Cummings but his writing, directing, and acting in this was such a breath of fresh air. THUMBS UP and Robert Forster deserves a posthumous best supporting actor nod for this too.
You need to watch his 2018 masterpiece Thunder Road. It’s even better!

This looks like fun. I always enjoyed the old classic monster movies as a teen, so I'm interested when they revive one. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but I like some of the hints we are getting in this one: the Sheriff is an alcoholic, it's modern-day, he's not beleiving what he's seeing because we know better nowadays. I like the line "When do I get to be right about something?"
One of the best in years, no matter the budget. The story, editing, acting all combine into one the most appealing, riveting films out there. This guy Cummings is one to watch.
You cannot be serious. Editing is like the worst I seen in a long time, cutting between night and day events like it was done by a 5 years old, killing off any chance for tension.

Just watched and it was pretty great. Very Fargo-esque. Could have been a bit longer but I found it thrilling and funny.

Just got done watching this on Vudu and it was definitely work the 5.99! One of the better werewolf movies ive seen in years but the end is strange.....I think the werewolf was 100% real because the suit looked nothing like the werewolf and the werewolf was really realistic looking! Great movie!

Yep, it's pretty obvious. That plus the totally never been done before "alcoholism/beast within" metaphor. A pitty, because otherwise a werewolf movie done as a serial killer manhunt with a twist could have been cool.

Na it wasnt. Def not worth the price to rent it. Its like they couldnt fecide whoch direction they wanted to take with the movie. Writing was weak and the lead actor was just horrible.

This was a fun movie! The acting is amazing. The characters are real, believable an super funny

The Room (2003) has major competition.
This is in no way comparable to The Room. Tommy didn’t intentionally make a B movie - he thought he was making a Tennessee Williams drama. That’s what makes The Room special
I wrote that below but I do want to recognize the good things too! The basic story idea was good and interesting. The lighting, set design, locations, and cinematography and stoyboarding/DOP was very good. The lead actress = Riki Lindhome and supporting Sherrif Robert Forster were very excellent actors. Many of the other actors were really exceptional like the daughter character. We were talking about the film again today as we saw it last eve and one of us said "even though it was not good-it kept my interest". The B movie junky said "with some work that film could be saved, it had a lot of good going for it-sets, location, camerawork, just replace the lead actor so the Director can be objective with directing and re-edit it all." My advive-Jim Cummings-learn from this and make the next one without you as an actor in it.

True, really happy to see a new werewolf film. The fear of the werewolf, and lose of control is always fascinating. Question is, is the werewolf in this film truly "out of control", or if it's choosing deliberately to do what it does. On a side note, I especially love the humor in this trailer. It's like if something like this were to happen people would be in real denial and would suspect it could only be a person.

This was fairly good. Better than I expected. Robert Forster has been in hundreds of movies & TV shows...Never disappoints.
And with Riki Lindhome as the Deputy...it was even better. She has a comedic aura about her, which makes her likable.
I think she is quite underrated. Saw her first in The Big Bang Theory...and became a instant fan.
This was very entertaining...with a good twist at the end. The FX was not all that bad either.

Surprised that they didn’t make a sequel to the Wolfman ( Benicio Del Toro ) . They left it wide open for one when the Inspector had been bitten . Might have been pretty good .

Better question is why did she close the door? Checking out a noise you may have misheard or couldn't hear clearly is one thing. Once it was obvious it was some crazy animal, I'd nope back into that vehicle super fast. But nope, she closed the doors. THAT is some A tier fool behavior lol.

Honestly the best movie I’ve seen this year. It’s like David Fincher turned Fargo into a serial killer movie. Except the serial killer is a fucking werewolf. If you liked ‘Thunder Road’ this is basically the Halloween special version, and it’s still awesome. And also scary as hell towards the end.
I met Robert Forster once. He seemed to be a very nice man. I will look forward to watching this, his last film.

It’s like Fargo meets the Howling.
Very much like watching a Coen Brothers movie. In fact, if the Coen Brothers were to make a Werewolf movie it would be this one. Very well done with a dark, insightful sense of humor and a good. scary horror story. Great cast. Sad but but grateful to see Robert Forsters last role was a good one. RIP
