Live Steam: The Deerfield and Roundabout Railway

- On Monday July 6th, 2020 I attended a private photo shoot hosted by A-Train4014 Productions and members of that board at the Deerfield and Roundbout Railway, a small 7.5" gauge live steamers club, located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Along with 6 other friends, we ride along the route behind star steamer #284, a berkshire type and the the railroad's first engine, built in 1977. We watch as Andrew Mangalindan demonstrates the fire up of 284 in the morning, and the shutdown procedure in the evening. We also have a chance to see some photo runbys. So sit back and enjoy the video!

Why not use the stream to control the weeds and grass on the tracks?
does that dynamo actually work or is the headlight battery operated?
Everything on our lines is battery operated. We do however have a locomotive that will run on a dynamo this year, that being our Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 No. 309
