Hi there, thanks so much for watching! These are located on deck 8. However I honestly wouldn't recommend them for an Alaskan cruise. The wind was often very heavy and knocked the furniture around.
Doing our first cruise on the Bliss this coming June of 2024. What’s the fine dining like? Are nice Jeans excepted or are they more dress slacks? I’d like to be properly prepared
I'm on the June 15th sailing. I plan to wear a pair of Dockers, or something like that at Cagney's, along with a Polo shirt, or something with a collar. PS. Book your specialty dining now, on-line, along with your excursions, before they fill up. You can even reserve a spot in the main dining rooms.
I'll be on the Bliss, mid June, 2024, for the same short 7 day that you had. Was your cruise also in June? First time on NCL. I'm also booked on a long cruise on the NCL Encore, Mid October. I wanted to fly in a day before the cruise and wanted to book the Hotel with NCL, but they would only book the Westin at $465, for one night. I thought that was insane, so I booked a much cheaper hotel that had its own shuttle that would pick me up at the airport. I'll just take an Uber to Pier 66, in the morning.
Can you share how long embarkation took? Also, was the buffet often overcrowded? How about the elevators? Where are the least busy places to get food and drink? Also- any tips on things one may want to keep in their room? I’m considering a trip on the Bliss but I hear overcrowding and service quality are real issues.
Took around an hour and a half I'd say. Maybe longer. Buffet was very often extremely full during peak times. Lots of circling for tables. You could time it and find times where it was quiet. We occasionally would get food at the observation lounge. A simpler variety bit often good. That area can get full too. As for overcrowding, for Alaska, you are essentially loosing the usability of the outdoor decks which keeps everyone indoors so yes it was full. For the most part I didn't think it was overwhelming. Elevators were hit or miss, really depends on the time. We take the stairs as often as we can. Service was definitely a let down. Not due to the quality of the crew but more of the quantity. Single servers instead of teams. One room steward doing to many rooms with no turn down. I believe most of those issues are an NCL thing though rather than bliss specific. We really did like the Bliss though.
@@MouseGen Thank you so much! We are looking to go on a 5 day Pacific cruise to B.C. on the Bliss and it sounds overwhelming. I know that there are bound to be some minor obstacles during travel, but I am worried about paying $3k for bad quality and service. Thanks again for your detailed answer!
wife and i went on this very ship also, september 16 for a week. Was our first time on a cruise not good at all, system was down ship did not stop in canada like supposed to, they were not able to scan people off ship. they blamed it on weather, which was a lie, will not be using Norwegian for any future cruises,, reached out to them they did not care of any complaints we had. several things were not working, same they did not care.
Thanks for watching! Sorry to hear you had a less than stellar cruise. We had some service issues for sure and we definitely agree that ncl's customer service is not up to par.

@billkallas1762 im so sorry! I actually misspoke. We did in fact stay at a Hilton gardens right across from the airport the night before the cruise and did the same thing. Ubering from the hotel to the port the morning of was pretty easy.
Getting Ready to board the Bliss soon? Let us know what sailing and any questions you have!

Thanks for watching!
I love that cuddle at the end!!
Thanks for vlog. We're thinking of the bliss or Carnival
Thanks for watching! I would definitely pick based off the ports over the ship! We loved the bliss but the time in ports is very short most days!
I love the bliss we took it to Mexico -- we are on the encore in august for family vaca in Alaska love the video!
The Encore also looks amazing! Hope you have a great cruise!
Can you please let me know where you got your green shirt with the little trees?
At 15:07
Ty :)
It's actually a Disney cruise line shirt! I think its specifically an Alaskan sailing shirt.
thanks! I googled and couldn't find it anywhere - oh well :) @@MouseGen
Hi!! Love your videos . What category is your room? I like the extended balcony!!! I'm considering bidding for an upgrade.

Thank you. I have a regular balcony room, but was considering the upgrade to the Club Suite. Is that the category?
I really want Haven🤑
@nicolecato3378 the extended balconies are offered in regular and club suite. The major difference is the bathroom is bigger in the club suite.

I believe nice jeans are acceptable in most. Le bistro may require slacks though.

Our cruise was the first week of June!
@@MouseGen I read that May and June are the months with the least rain.
