I saw the 1995 Page/Plant tour and Nigel Eaton's hurdy gurdy playing was fantastic, and not only that, the amplification of the instrument was incredible. Bass notes played on the instrument made the walls of the entire arena feel as though they were vibrating sympathetically with the instrument. Great sound. It's interesting that Nigel mentioned Jimmy Page's own hurdy gurdy in this interview, because we Zep fans were never aware that Jimmy ever owned or played a hurdy gurdy, save for the brief interlude on hurdy gurdy that that's featured in the film THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME as a piece obscurely published as "Autumn Lake" in the film.
