It is a statue that came to life. Tae in the red jacket is also a statue. It plays off the theme of loneliness & seeking companionship. Statues coming to life but do they experience emotion? That's what Tae poses in this MV. His MV are very deep and have great meaning.
After watching the video many times, I realized that the main character of the story is not real, it is a sculpture and in the end he realizes, and sadly accepts his reality. It’s amazing video and voice perfection
Girl you’re so relatable!! 😂 I had the same reaction as a fellow Tae girlie!!! He’s so gorgeous and this song/MV is a masterpiece!! Also have you seen him dancing with Lee Jung Lee!??? It’s 🔥🔥👀👀
V the sculptor created an image of himself, V the statue or the sculpture. V sculptor must be projecting his own desires to live be with someone in his V statue. Or he could be a loner, seeking to live/happiness but doesn’t know how. This desire breathed life to his creation. Thus, when the V statue came to life, he also desired to be with someone and created a female statue and breathed life to her. The V sculpture lived the life, ie, going around, feeling the wind, being awed by other lives (like the butterfly), dancing, partying, celebrating, loving a girl. But that will end as he faced his creator later and realized he was not real, thus the heartbreaking sadness and acceptance in V’s eyes in the last scene. This is when you see the girl disappearing and even his face in the mirror partly turning into stone. The sculptor V is bloodied. This may represent his own brokenness, or relate to the scene where he was angry and frustrated and took such anger on his scuplture of V thus scraping that part of his face under his eye, and breaking him. It can also be theorized that when sculptor V broke the V statue, this instead gave life to the statue while the sculptor sustained the brokenness or injuries, sort of opposite effect. Or these could all just be a part of the sculptor’s dreams. Teaser 1 represents the darkness in his life. Teaser 2 is his daydream of a happier life, although it will end like any other dream, and he will go back to reality. Also the dark jacket and heavy footsteps may represent the darkness in the sculptor’s life, while the red jacket and whitish colors may symbolize life and lightness. For me there are both biblical and mythological elements in the storyline.
Or.. 'don't wanna say this but why is V in black, bleeding? What if V in red realised that everything isn't real even himself cuz he is actually already dead thus d bloody V, n with teary eyes, he finally understood n accepted the truth in the end.Well, the genius V, as always.❤ u V
@ Tae is so effective in engaging us to discuss right? We continue to think about it even after watching several times. I think that’s how real art should be. It’s a discourse.
