    I think once they realize that more and more people are looking to heal themselves through herbalism they will definitely try to begin to regulate this industry. Big pharma won’t like us affecting their bottom line.

    Excessive regulation pervades nearly every aspect of business, creating formidable obstacles for small enterprises attempting to establish themselves. While safety standards are ostensibly beneficial, their implementation often comes at a considerable expense. In a truly free market, subpar businesses would naturally falter while reputable ones would thrive, as market forces incentivize quality and safety. It's imperative for the government to relinquish its heavy-handed regulation and allow the free market to function autonomously, thereby facilitating self-correction.

    I'm so glad I found your videos. They are so engaging. I couldn't agree with you more re: regulation around safety and claims, but I don't believe natural medicine as a whole should be regulated by the FDA. I think the veil over the corruption in these 3 letter agencies is lifting and simultaneously more people are seeking the empowerment of natural healing, as this happens they will become more and more desperate to keep their foothold.

    Thank you! The cottage food license in my county in California says that I can't sell to anyone outside California. I thought about putting my herbs on etsy but it seems like it won't be allowed?

    I like your tips but I am questioning about the herbalism, lol. When you are saying you don't need a license/certification it makes since because we are pretty much going against modern medicine.
    I don't know why I felt that you needed to have a license/certification lol
    Eventually I am going to do a course of herbalism. In the meantime, I'm going to post some wellness content, take advantage of these free sources and then maybe get into a course.

    • @TheBackLoop
      @TheBackLoop 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think she's speaking more to the fact that in the US there isn't a single standardizing body that regulates what it means to be a 'certified' herbalist. I've taken many classes and courses and I'm currently in the middle of a 9-month long herbal apprenticeship program after which I'll get a certificate of completion but, since there's no single source of truth for what it means to be a certified herbalist, what I've learned as a "certified herbalist" won't be the same as another person who says they same thing. There are other countries where the study of and using herbs as part of a more holistic approach to health is more accepted and in some of those countries they do have official, regulatory bodies to maintain a certain standard of care and knowledge.
      Also what we're doing isn't (doesn't necessarily need to) "go against modern medicine." Knowledge of herbs and herbalism should support our bodies such that we shouldn't be as reliant on big pharma - but there's a time and place for Advil too.

    • @chynnaurl
      @chynnaurl 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheBackLoop I get what you are saying and thank you for your input! I've even seen holistic doctors say you can't fully 100% rely on them because if it is something crazy going on then you will have to go to your local hospital, lol.
      and i just said the "going against modern medicine" because a lot of big pharma doesn't like the herbalist community because they have lost some patients due to them getting into natural healing.
