    Thank you so much for such a detailed and unbiased overview of the F6i. Thank you Kishore for the upload. It’s a wonderful bike, but unfortunately it’s not easily available. Moreover, Hero seems to have gone back to its old ways. The new lot ships with a basic Shimano Tourney instead of the superior Shimano Altus mentioned here. Also, the thumb shifter also is not necessarily Shimano. It still is a better bet than smaller brands, but seems a little unfair on the part of such a brand to promise one set of accessories and shipping with comparatively inferior ones without any price cut.

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree with your assessment. Hero is cutting down on quality components instead of increasing price. It all comes down to local manufacturing. I too was disappointed to notice my bike missing Shimano shifter, but it at least has Altus

    • @LifeHeWrote
      @LifeHeWrote 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mightymedico I just made a different tradeoff. Settled for the Tourney and Shimano thumb shifter, before they downgrade that as well. But for a few bolts that need to be tightened, this is a wonderful purchase. Thank you so much again, doc. I wouldn't have bought this one without your recommendation.

    Is this bike comes with tubeless tyres or regular tyre tube? What are the difficulties faced in case of tyre punchured as the BLDC moter must be heavy to drag around. Any difficulty faced while fixing the tyre punchure??

    • @mightymedico

      Hi, it came with regular tyres with tubes. Didn't puncture them yet. If it happens, I don't think it's any different than regular cycles. Better to push to a nearby local shop and fix it first than riding it.

    I have used this bike for some 2 months now. Great experience overall. I feel if Hero were to change the throttle to a lockable throttle (like on motor cycles, where the throttle stays at a position and does not return to zero if the hand is taken off the throttle) it would make the ride experience even better. As such, after some time my wrist starts to protest after holding the throttle to get the speed I want.

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for sharing your experience. For me, throttle is just a vestigeal organ for an e-bike. I always either pedal manually or use pedal assist for difficult terrain, never on throttle.

Since I myself is using one, I learnt one thing. that is at low mode, it automatically turns off if you steadily pedalling at a speed exceeding 12kmp/h, for medium - exceeding 18km/h and the High Mode switches off after some time if you kept it and pedalled at a steady speed above 25kmp/h. How is the gearshifting performance?

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not bad initially, recently started noticing some clunking sounds while shifting. I don't shift the gears much since I prefer to use throttle for inclined roads.

    very informative.
    But seeing 49k price on their site, its a big NO. And accessories from decathlon adds up another 2k easily. its risky to safe guard unless we park at home and office only. some parts are not water proof.
    instead I am looking a bitwin my bike for 6k and electrical kit for another 6k. Max of 15k

      I definitely echo your thoughts regarding price & safety. Local manufacturing needs to happen to bring down the prices. Safety issue can be overcome with being careful about where you park it.

  • @singhanand890
    @singhanand890 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I feel really bad for people who buy F6i or any other eBike by paying more than 30k and get a very basic LED display. Hero being hero and making compromises with the safety of the people by not giving eBrakes.

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, high cost is an issue. I don't miss e-brakes at all. They won't make or break your experience

      eBrakes are important I have a cycle and while purchasing I took rest ride of other cycles as well. Hero is the only company not giving eBrakes where as other companies are providing it.

    Sir ,
    After watching your video. I am also interested to buy this one.
    I have few questions.
    1. Can we remove the battery easily and charge it in office /home and place it back on day to day basis ?
    2. You have not mentioned the price of it in Bangalore . How much it is ? How did u purchase it. In how many days it will get delivered ?
    Please help

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Kiran for the comment.
      1. It comes with a key, you can easily remove it and carry the battery to your home or office. It's not very heavy.
      2. Luckily, one of my patients is a dealer. He got a piece for providing test rides to customers. He sold it to me as a good will gesture for same online price of 49k. Otherwise it would take even 2-3 months after booking to get it.

      @@mightymedico sir , today I spoke with a dealer of Hero Lectro from Bangalore. He says to buy from online only for that model and he says won't be giving any warranty support. Told we should call directly to customer care and they will send the spares to address directly if needed. Having a Hero Cycle network all over India . Still dealers seems to not supportive.

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KiranKumar-cg3yg you will get spares for Lectro cycles anywhere. I would not worry about warranty as bike is well built. Some wear and tear related issues are expected and you can get them resolved at local bicycle shop/dealer itself

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I never really did a range test on this yet. I assume it should give 50+ KM range if you use in throttle nice. I suggest you pedal manually and use battery only if pedalling gets difficult.

    • @mightymedico
      @mightymedico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did a range test now. It's giving me (95kg person) 80 Kms on full charge with pedal assist 3 all the time. It should give around 100km for an average built person.
