I just finished the rest of the video, and Empoleon is also the name of a Pokemon! I wonder why they're doing that? I smell a cease and desist from Nintendo coming.😂
Hi Bob, got the Ka-Bar Ek 44 today. I really like the design and quality of the knife. Especially the "S" guard and the Ek handle or grip. The one thing i am not wild about is the hanging kydex loop sheath. Also the blade is secured by two triangular shaped knobs, of the kydex, applying pressure against the blade. To release the blade, it takes considerable force pushing the handle outward, to bypass the safety knobs. This causes removal difficult and scrapes the side of the knife against the sheath. Being it is my intention to carry the knife only concealed, and having a County Weapons Permit, this is allowed. Modifying the kydex sheath, i cut off a 3 inch portion of the looped/kydex area down to the sheath opening. This leaves a 1/4 inch edge adjacent to the mouth of the kydex. Putting the sheath inside the waistband the 1/4 inch kydex edge faces outward, resting on top of the belt as the old style metal "frog" was used, on bowie knife sheaths. This prevents the sheath from being pushed below the waist band area. Also by modifying the sheath the security system had to be removed. But now by positioning of the sheath, the knife handle applies minor pressure against the waist, keeping it secured. This sheath modification works well. The knife blade no longer has to be pushed outward for removal, the blade is centered so as not scraping, and marring the blade. So the Ek will be my primary carry and the Sidewinder secondary. Thank God the prognosis of your injury is good. As i learned from my knife injury, it leaves a lasting impression to muscle memory, so as not to repeat the incident. Stay Safe. Doug.
Thanks for this video...I had this knife (Bulbasaur) on my potential-to-buy list and this review was right on time. I like that blade shape. It appears to have an effective pokie end, and the wide blade will help increase the cut damage. I always take the clips off my daily carry knives, so they are not an issue for me. (I carry an LCP max in a front pocket, and 2 spare mags in the other front pocket, so no room for knives in front. This makes me carry them in my back pocket, and with a clip on them, I find them to be uncomfortable when sitting, not to mention putting wear on the furniture cushions with the exposed portion. Plus, they always have a better grip feel when they clips are removed. - I do leave them on knives that will go in a bag, since it makes for easier retrieval then)
Looks like a Spyderco without the Spidey hole. Nice!

Everyone probably recognizes the name Bulbasaur, but what's funny is that Shieldon is also the name of a Pokemon. 😂🤷
All pocket knives with flipper opening and non reversal pocket clips are belly pokers for all Lefties.
How? I carry my knives in both pockets and never swap a clip. Yall are literally crying about a nonexistent issue
