- Some of my best lessons have come from my dear friends! The concept in the power of our words is something my friend and first producing partner Kerry "Krucial" Brothers put me on to.

This woman is something else.... "Mark my Words" 😁. Now in all seriousness, this woman is an angel, she is always smiling and calm, positive and supporting of everyone. When she talks there is no doubt or speculation, her words just flow like a calm mountain stream. You could even not speak english and the cadence of her beautiful voice just talking will enchant you and send the message across anyways. Believe me that she is not just a woman....she is indeed...Alicia Keys 😍😍😍😍

But Alicia you are so humble because you got Christ in you and you showing that part of you is amazing because your words are touching others. Keep smiling!
Words are absolutely powerful, they can either build you up or tear you down. That's why I speak affirmations over myself especially when I am at my lowest points. Every time I remind myself of who I am despite feeling depressed at times, the words literally help to lift my Spirit and stand back in my Goddesshood.

I listened to your talk on Oprah's podcast the other day while taking a walk in my neighborhood, and I was brought to tears. Some few years ago I was living in a 2 bed apartment, doing a regular 9-5 and using public transport.
I discovered the ancient laws of spirituality from many different religions (every religion teaches this) and started using it.
Today l live in a 7 bedroom country house, have my own company and l drive a 4 wheel with personal number plates.
The message of the ‘secret’ is simple and miracles will happen. kindness, the law of karma, do unto others, cause and effect etc. I shared this knowledge with my family and friends who also saw results. This s* actually works. Stay blessed.

I am sat with those words and can see that at times in my life, I have felt that I didnt deserve or belong the things rewarded to me. Through growth I have learned to appreciate my family my friends and my own talents skills and thirt for understanding, that has now taken me on a beautiful journey.
There has been many stumbling blocks and I realise now, its repetition of lessons that I must resolve to keep understanding and opening up the true essence of who I am and what I am about.

I feel called out, cause I learned myself that you attract what you think of, the power of thoughts is believe and putting energy to this belief but also I remember you saying this about how powerful words are and we become what we say to the world, how the world will hear me if I dont speak up? speaking up is the most brave battle we can face for ourselves. So now I believe that the words personifies the strong thoughts we have and they become even more powerful, I used to have little notes on my mirror saying to myself that I was worth living and everyday I read those notes, i stopped but I should do it again, thank you so much Alicia for connecting and sharing a deep inspiring belief. very powerful speech. we very often say negative things and does not reflect on that. I hate it when people try to call their kids like "my little devil" or "little monster" It's so negative. I brought your book last week out of impulse, only after that i realised i bought it on the first day it was released. And just now i searched for "Power of Words" on TH-cam and your video is the first that comes up, i watched it and again, i realised you just uploaded it today. I don't know what is that the universe want me to learn/connect with you, but im pretty sure it's for good reason. Blessings to you and the world!
Hey Alicia! I agree...what comes out of our mouths is SO important because it creates our world. One word that I am very conscious of is "hope", as in "I hope...." because it really takes the power out of your hands and places it "out there, somewhere". Words create, for both the positive and the negative, so it's so important what you say out in the world, but most importantly, what you say to yourself. 💜
He always would tell me "You have not cuz you ask not" that saying stuck in my head. One day i needed to make money. I had a idea to make tamales and sell them. Only problem was i didnt have a big pot. But i stayed positive and i knew one would be provided. My sister and i were driving down a dirt road no houses for miles. I asked God to help me find a pot. With in seconds on the side of the dirt road there was a brand new pot. I just said thank you. My sister asked me how did i know I was going to get a pot today. I couldnt explain it. I just knew.
Thank you for sharing your light, love and powerful words. You are a phenomenal artist and human being. God has definitely blessed this universe with your presence. I love your whole vibe, always have, since way back when I was in high school bumping your cd on repeat in an old boom box in my bedroom. For me there aren’t many in the same category of artist that you’re in, upper echelon for sure. And also please let Swizz or Mr Beatz know that everything he’s been doing for the culture of art is incredible. That man made a paradigm shift in the art world and will be remembered forever because of that. If I was Noah and a flood was coming, you two would definitely be a couple I’d not just want but would need on the arc. Both of you please continue being you, the world is a better place because of ya’ll.
and yet, by activating all these affirmations, which ARE powerful.. they should never feel like a battle, like sayin them to survive the 'battle'. because then still, you will attract the battle, so that you are reminded for those words. you really need to attract an anchor inside of you. a calm attitude. sth that you are intune with, something that feels simple and easy for YOU. don't ask sth from the outside to serve you, especially not other people. first, get aware of sth easy that is satisfying to focus on.
and then the outside will become your cooperative partner. words ONLY are not enough, and yet they help to stimulate. 💟

Brilliant! The power of words, and even more the emotion, feeling, intention we have being those words.
I became aware of and removed the negative connotation surrounding the phrase "if it ain't one thing it's another" bc I started to notice the negative one thing and the other and another and another.... I had to cancel cancel! But what I chose to do was keep the phrase but direct it toward the good I would see and coupe that with gratitude!!! It Worked wonders and still is... Life has become exciting to see what's next!!!!

I've been going through some really rough stuff and getting my ducks in a row to leave a verbally abusive 7 yr relationship! Underdog, oh my, touched my soul and really made me remember who I was and who I am, but the quote "what we repeat is ultimately who we become" left me crying! Meeting Alecia is on my bucket list as she is truly my hero, she may never know the impact of her words, but, she has truly reminded me what I deserve and its not to be anyones maid, secretary and whore and be a yes girl! If I could hug her and say thank you, with many tears for making me remember who I am and work on comedy and my book I started writing 10 yrs ago! No one is perfect but we are all here for a purpose, being kind is not costly, a smile, how are you, I bought a veterans coffee, it wasn't much but being a mom of 3 military sons, daughter of retired Air Force Capt, I try to always say thank you to veterans! Life is so very short, be happy, be kind, if your not happy, CHANGE IT! Thank you Alecia
