    Great talk and discussion.
The Hindu view of abortion is not very clear though. He explained the view is different from Christianity but was not very clear if the result was same as Christianity - abortion is not considered good even if the foetus has some deformity.

whichever way you look at it, from whichever perspective youre coming from, when you actually know and understand the facts about the actual procedure of abortion, and you are honest about it to your own conscience, then there can be no denying that abortion is a terrible act of violence, because it involves the follwing violent actions, poison, starvation, dismemberement etc, depending on the gestational age of the child, all of which represent great injustice against the life of an innocent human being, who is merely growing and existing exactly as nature intended, for the gestational period of its life:
      1) medical abortion - starvation of the child usally carried out in the early 1st trimester of the pregnancy, by taking abortion pills which cut off the nutritional supply to the child, causing it to die of starvation, and then be expelled from the womb by pills which cause the womb to violently contract.
      2) surgical abortion - usually carried out in late 1st and early 2nd trimester by dilating the cervix and using a powerful suction device which causes the child to be ripped apart and dismembered, in order to violently extract the child from the womb, in pieces.
In mid to late 2nd trimester, when the bones have become more stronger, and its no longer possible to dismember the child via powerful suction device, it is necessary to use a different surgical procedure, which involves dilating the cervix and using a metal instrument to grab the limbs of the child and pull to dismember the child piece by piece which it is still alive and struggling to resist. There are actually ultra sound videos that clearly show this.
      3) Saline abortion - saline solution is injected into the womb, which poisons and burns the child, causing the child to die an agonizing and painful death.
      4) Dilation and extraction - usually carried out in the 3rd trimester when the baby is too big and bones are too strong to dismember. The child is injected with a lethal drug that kills it in the womb, and then the cervix is artifically dilated over a couple of days, while the mother walks around with a dead baby inside her, and she is given drugs to induce labour, and gives birth to a dead child.
These are all procedures that no one would want to be done to them or their loved, ones, yet so many of us have been indoctrinated by the abortion industry's dehumanizing propaganda, and obfuscation of the facts about abortion and human child development, and our natural empathy has been so insidiously subverted and distorted, that we fail to apply the same principle of justice and protection from violence, to a vulnerable child in the womb, that we would apply to ourselves.

I was talking about the case where foetus has deformity. So living a life can be a torture worse than the abortion procedure.
Some birds discard their eggs if they are going to give birth to a deformed bird. So it's not totally unnatural.

@@suvarna76 so should we kill human beings just because they are deformed and disabled? DO we solve the suffering in their lives by killing them? Should killing people be the correct moral solution to suffering? Or should we focus our energies on helping people, and work to end suffering, instead of killing the sufferer?
Just because someone is going to be disabled or suffer, doesnt mean that they dont have a right to carry on living and fulfilling their jiva purpose whatever that may be. There are many inspirational people who have been born with deformities and still they go on to live fulfilling lives, because someone cared enough to help and support them and value their life as a human being.
WHy should anyone have the right to decide that they are not worthy of living, because they might suffer and be an inconvenience or burden to others? ANd who decides the threshold level of suffering, at which point, its ok to kill someone?
We all suffer in life, in one way or another, and at different times in our lives. Poor people suffer, disabled peole suffer, women suffer, homeless people suffer and so on. Many people are able to rise above their suffering and achieve amazing things. How would that even be possible, if we decided to kill them before they even had a chance?
It would be terrible to think that we should kill these suffering people, instead of working to eliminate and address the cause of their suffering and work to help and support them as compassionate and loving human beings.
Yes there are many problems in this world, some we can control and others we cannot, some are natural and othrs are man made. One day you might suffer or i might suffer, we might have an accident and get disabled or deformed,...does that mean we should be killed because we are now suffering and a burden on others?
Whatever the cause, we must work to eradicate the cause of suffering if possible, and if not possible, then at the very least, as a decent compasionate society, we should work to ease the suffering of those who suffer.
Eliminate the suffering, not the sufferer. That is the true dharma, righteous conscientious conduct.

@@suvarna76 so staying alive and being given a chance at life, is more torturous than the abortion procedure, where a child is brutally dismembered while still alive, or poisoned and starved to death? Would any deformed or disabled person, consciously agree to be poisoned, starved or butchered while still alive?? Of course not! But sadly, many wicked people do these things to disabled people, and we rightly condemn it as a terrible injustice, becasue no one should have the power of life and death over another vulnerable human being, and the same goes for the disabled child in the womb.
Our duty is to love, care and protect those who are in need., This is what true divinity is about, because it brings out the highest compassionate and loving qualities in all of us. People who come to this world as disabled, are just as valuable as you and I, and despite their difficulities, they have so much to teach the reast of us and enrich and inspire our lives with their divine presence.
How can anyone have the right to decide that someone's life must end, in order to save them from suffering? What gives us that right over another jiva's journey on this earth?
WHo knows what may happen to change the fortunes of a disadvantaged person? Anything can happen and everything is possible, when we give life a chance. But nothing is possible if life is snuffed out deliberately.
Again, we must work to end the suffering and not the sufferer.
How we treat those vulnerable and disabled people, who are totally at our mercy, whether in the womb or outside the womb, is the true mark of our humanity and divine purpose in this world. That is true dharma and presence of the divine in this world, which challenges us to reach higher and better than we realised we were even capabable of. This is how we grow and become better human beings...by serving and protecting and loving those who are in the most need of our mercy and compassion.

There are many groups who recognize the humanity of the preborn baby but don’t believe in God or have any religious affiliation. They understand that abortion is wrong simply because it kills a human being.
One such group is Feminists for Life. According to its website: “Feminists for Life of America is a nonsectarian, nonpartisan, grassroots organization that seeks real solutions to the challenges women face. Our efforts are shaped by the core feminist values of justice, nondiscrimination, and nonviolence.”
This organization fights for women and seeks to eliminate the causes that drive women to abortion, citing the top causes as lack of resources and lack of support. Insisting that “women deserve better than abortion,” Feminists for Life members work to change legislation, educate poor women, get resources for pregnant mothers, and much more.
