Baldur's Gate 1 is my cozy game... I dunno why, maybe because it's chill, big, and has a nice atmosphere, other RPGs even in same engine, are more streamlined, BG2 has too much dialogue and Icewind Dale is too overwhelming with fights, tho IWD2 has the coziest winter hut atmosphere, just bring some hot soup to eat while playing cause it looks COLD. :3

@@astromonkey1757 unfortunately it's the only game that doesn't have the Enhanced Edition because source code was lost and you can't port it straight to BG2 engine because it was heavily modified to run 3rd edition. Thankfully, I think GOG version comes with DDrawFix by default, it's the most important change since without it on new hardware, depending on drivers, sprites had black boxes around them and horrible framerate. It also has no QoL features like widescreen UI or zoom-in but there's an HD patch, tho the game still looks gorgeous upclose.

@@astromonkey1757 IWD2 should work on any system, it's better on modern ones with DDrawFix and mods. Like the fan made Enhanced edition.
I have a working version set up on Win 10, if you want I can post my Weidu log what I installed, or even just Google drive the zipped folder with already working game.

@@astromonkey1757 GOG version should run on everything, slap fan made Enhanced Edition on top and you're golden. I had it setup on Windows 10. I think I posted answer before but it disappeared?
