      PMcFarland would you recommend this for the neck? My husband broke his neck almost 5 years ago and he still has pain and stiffness. I was wondering if it would be too sting to use on his neck? I looked at the ball but I think you have to lay on that

    • @alterbridgefan99
      @alterbridgefan99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sbulmer6707 I'm so sorry to hear he broke his neck! That's awful. You could go up to C3 with it. You could go to the occipital ridge but we only go to C3. You can do 3 angles. Chin to chest, ear to same shoulder and nose to same pocket. You can get the trap too. There are the different attachments to this product too, just experiment and find out which one is the best one, and find out which speed setting is best as well. Did he have surgery on it? Does he get a lot of headaches?

    • @sbulmer6707
      @sbulmer6707 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      PMcFarland thank you for answering!! Yes, C5 and C6, he also had a skull fracture. He does get headaches but he had migraines before his accident. He doesn’t have full range of motion of his neck, he can’t look fully up or to the right, he has to turn his torso. He can’t sleep with a pillow, his less painful for him if he sleeps flat. I’m not sure that this would be the right device for him then. It was a horrible injury, but we were so blessed he didn’t die or end up paralyzed. So he was actually very lucky. We declined a spinal cord stimulator as it was risky and didn’t have that good results in the area he needed. We’re just trying to find something that will ease it a little bit.

    • @alterbridgefan99
      @alterbridgefan99 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sbulmer6707 Very welcome for answering. I just had surgery yesterday morning so I've got plenty of time on my hands lol does he go to a pain clinic? Maybe he could ask their opinion on this. Definitely blessed/lucky that he wasn't paralyzed or died! I got into massage therapy because I was a chronic pain person for 26 years and wanted to help other people with chronic pain. So I may not have all the answers but I understand the frustration 😭

    • @sbulmer6707
      @sbulmer6707 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PMcFarland I’m sending fast healing vibes your way! He no longer goes to pain management. We exhausted all our options there. He declined the stimulator and pain pills. The pills made him sick after his injury when taking them and he didn’t want to become dependent. They said he would more than likely develop bone spurs that would have to be removed. I really appreciate your opinion and hope you have happy holidays ahead!!

    one year of owning the hypervolt. Had do send it back for repairs after less than a month of light use. and now after a year of light use and not going past the first speed setting due to loud noise (which should not happen) this device is started to fall apart internally. When the hypervolt worked without issues (for about a month) it was a nice tool, but for 500$ CAD I would not recommend it.

    I recently had lower back pain and herniated disk from lifting heavy furniture up a flight of stairs and this massager really helped loosen up my tense muscles and lower back and took my pain level which was a 9 or 10 & I couldn't move it was so painful, after the first use my pain went down to 2 or 1. It's an amazing product and I highly recommend it. It's also able to get rid of knots on your back which is very helpful. The sound is not loud and annoying which made it a perfect buy for me. I'm really appreciative to the makers of hypervolt.

    The flat head is not a stopper. It is used along flat muscles such as your back (not when self-massaging- so, someone else's back) The IT band- TFL (outer side of thighs), rectus femorus (front of thigh), I use on my inner thigh muscles tho those are not as flat, and Pecs. The ball piece is most universal. The bullet is great for trigger points - just "drill" it. and the fork is for the neck (laid on its side) or if your muscles are so sore the lowest setting is to much, put the fork on its side on low and it will feel even lower. :)

    The physical therapy office that I go to to get treatment for my sciatica pain has one of these. The therapist uses it to massage my L4 area(the point of origin). @@bethestandardallday It is more powerful, but it's actually too powerful for some -- myself included. I need the percussion massage for my right, lower back spasms and the Theragun is too intense for me to take. It's not even a close call for me the HyperVolt gives me exactly what I need. The Thereagun is too much.

    I don't get this shit. This is nothing new percussion therapy has been around for years. You can easily pick up a purewave "percussion massager" for 125.00 on amazon and does 3700 RPM. So why would i dish out almost 500 dollars for this?

      I tried it for a week, and it's AMAZING. My dad has the Hypervolt, but I heard about a budget version, so decided to buy it.
      It was only $140 at the place I bought it because they have this ridiculous discount going on.

    Honestly been searching for a reliable message gun for a couple of months. I used to watch a lot of bob and brad videos and found out they had this one. I use different message guns at the physical therapy clinic I work at and they use the hypervolt one and this comes close to beating it. The only grope that I have is that the battery dies within 1 session of using so I am not sure if the battery needs to be used for more than one charge to get the full potential of it. But the power and ease of use are excellent

    I did a ton of research on massage guns and finally landed on the Bob and Brad model. I'm very happy with it and it is just as good if not better than my brother's theragun and my friend's hypervolt which cost 3x what I paid.

    Stay away from Hyperice products. They will take your money and offer zero support when their cheaply made products malfunction and fall apart. Try another, GENUINELY high-end brand. These guys are a marketing ploy. The products do not match up to the price and the support/service/warranty are non-existent.

    The chiro I work at is using this massage gun. Way cheaper than hypervolt and has more options. www.turbotorp.com/products/turbotorpv2.
    Got one for myself too. The trick is not to apply too much pressure and just run it along the trigger points.
